  6. I have already spoken to multiple head admins regarding this, and that does not apply to this situation, The NRP forcing your own death refers to people who are injured during a situation such as a police chase or kidnapping and attempt RP that medical treatment is ineffective, that rule is in place to prevent people from forcing their character to respawn as a method of avoiding Prison. I would like to point out that although the OP did come across as a rant about the situation. It is posted in Rules Suggestion for a reason because I was given a firm "You're not allowed to do this" by Risk, however, there is absolutely nothing outlined in the rules stating this. I am also not even trying to suggest that Character Killing be allowed, I am simply suggesting that Administrators and Support Staff are telling players that CK is against the rules. Then surely there should be a rule referring to CKing, How can you enforce a rule that does not exist? I will also point out that 2/7 of my characters are also RPly dead, and head admins were present for both of those RP deaths and had absolutely zero issues with me RPing as dead and then no longer playing the character. As I am also doing with Nikki regardless if it was void or not I have not played on Nikki since and I will never be playing on Nikki. Additionally, I would like to extend my apologies to you for the way I rudely stated that it was IC, however, there was a 2-hour long RP prior to your arrival and I was just frustrated to have it abruptly interrupted. There was no need for me to take it out on you and I am sorry for doing so.
  7. There absolutely needs to be a clear definition in the rules regarding ROLEPLAYING a character's death, note I am not asking for the possibility to perma-kill other players, and I am not asking for the possibility to remove a player's ability to play their character. However, if I decide that I no longer wish to continue playing my character. I should have the ability in a roleplay server to roleplay a death scene in which others can be involved and have my character RPly die. I have done this with two of my characters (Kyu_Aberdeen) and (Grace_Raven) and both of those characters' permadeath were approved by two head admins. However, yesterday I had a two-hour-long roleplay in which my character Nikki_Maye was tazed while recovering from brain surgery, I had agreed to myself weeks in advance when I had the MD brain surgery roleplay that should I be tazed or injured while recovering I would roleplay a bleed on the brain, and after being tazed I did just that however neither PD or DOC RPed any sort of treatment or pulse check, my character went over 1 hour without a pulse and therefore I made the conscious decision that I wanted to kill my character and was fully aware of what that entails since I have killed two of my characters already. My roleplay was abruptly ruined when admin Risk appeared and told me that I am not allowed to roleplay my character's death, to be told I am not allowed to roleplay in a roleplay server when there is no rule against roleplaying death is absurd. I am aware there is a rule about forcing your character's death however this is different, as I was doing it for the story and not to avoid anything. Not only did this ruin my two-hour-long roleplay scene abruptly. But it also ruined everyone else's roleplay who was involved. The taze happened on Weazel CCTV, which would have given Herrman Wolff a very juicy story for the Weazel Faction. PD carried out an arrest report, providing a lawsuit roleplay possibility between JB and PD after investigating the death of Nikki Maye who was forcefully put inside a cruiser without a pulse. The DOC guard who forcefully dressed my dead body and processed me would have carried out a process report which would have provided even more investigation roleplay following the character's death. Not to mention the numerous people who adored Nikki Maye and could have sought their own justice for what happened. Regardless of what change does/doesn't happen, I am no longer going to play Nikki Maye due to the fact that she RPly went over 2 hours without a pulse and without being treated. It would be power gaming on my part to give Nikki Maye any sort of life, and I am true to my storytelling RP's so she will remain unplayed for the foreseeable future. I just hope that this post either; Outlines in the General Rules that players are not allowed to Roleplay their permadeath/Incorporates something officially that allows players to request approval for their character's permadeath to prevent anything like this from happening again.
  8. Valkyre Backstory In the sprawling wilderness of a secluded region, there once lived a mysterious feral female whose identity remained shrouded in secrecy. For years, she roamed the untamed lands, surviving through her primal instincts and keen senses. She became known only as "Valkyre" a name whispered by those who encountered her elusive presence. Valkyre's upbringing was enigmatic and fraught with hardships. Abandoned as an infant, she was left to fend for herself in the wilderness. Nature became her teacher, and the wild animals her family. With no human contact during her formative years, she never learned to communicate in conventional ways, relying instead on guttural sounds, gestures, and primal expressions. Her life was a constant struggle for survival, and she learned to hunt with remarkable precision. As a master of stealth and agility, she moved through the dense foliage like a phantom, taking only what she needed to subsist and leaving the rest untouched. Her existence was in harmony with nature, and she felt a deep connection to the untamed world around her. Los Santos However, fate had other plans for Valkyre when she found herself in the sprawling metropolis of Los Santos. Drawn by some inexplicable force, she ventured into the concrete jungle, her senses overwhelmed by the cacophony of urban life. She remained cautious, sticking to the shadows, and surviving off the scraps of a city that seemed alien to her. One fateful day, driven by hunger, she stumbled upon the City Hall while scavenging for food. Unaware of the potential consequences, she entered the premises, only to be discovered by the watchful eyes of the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD). Confused and terrified, Valkyre's feral instincts took over, and she attempted to escape, but she was quickly surrounded by the law enforcement officers. I a last ditched effort for escape Valkyre lunged at one of the officers, stabbing him in the neck, however it was not enough. As she recieved her first shock of a tazer and was quickly deemed powerless for the first time in her life. Detained Unable to communicate her predicament, Valkyre was deemed a potential threat, and she was placed behind bars in an isolated cell. The authorities were at a loss as to how to handle this enigmatic woman, whose presence seemed almost mythical. Despite human rights still technically applying to Valkyre, she was informed that she will be held in a holding cell indefinitely since she can not be identified. To Be continued...

  11. So, I appreciate that work has been put in place to attempt to make the Coroner job more viable/activate by adding a job spot in the city. However it is no secret that even with this, the Coroner needs a lot of work to be viable, for one. ICly and OOCly the majority of people do not know how to contact a Coroner. And the ones who do know generally don't bother trying to call the Coroner because 99.9% of the time there is not going to be one so it is usually a waste of time to try. My suggestion around this is one that myself and others think would logically make sense, and it would be to either; A) Remove the freelance Coroner job as it currently is, and instead move the Coroner functions to the LSEMS faction, and then LSEMS can decide if they want to turn Coroner into a Division within the faction. Simply allow On-duty LSEMS to perform the actions that would previously be performed by Coroners. Giving LSEMS the ability to directly handle dead bodies. It makes sense for LSEMS to have this function as LSEMS likely deal the more dead bodies than any other faction or player in the server. B) If keeping the freelance job available is a priority. Then instead of replacing it entirely. The Coroner job could remain in place as it is. However in this case I would suggest adding the Coroner functions to LSEMS. Giving On-duty LSEMS the ability to Bag, Store and drop off bodies and again it would be LSEMS's call if they make this into a Division or if it's just something that Medics can do in the event of no Coroners being available, this could even be enforced in a way where LSEMS are only able to handle the body IF there are no Coroners available. Which would still allow Civilians to do the Coroner job if they so wish. Personally I think option A is the more realistic and appropriate option, I do not think anyone would miss the freelance Coroner job. And also from a RP point of view it seems kind of unusual to trust essentially strangers the delicate and responsible task of handling deceased bodies. RPly it makes more sense to lay that responsibility on the LSEMS members who have been vetted and trained to deal with such things. TLDR; Remove Coroner Freelance job and give LSEMS the functions of bagging, storing and dropping off dead bodies instead.
  12. I am fully aware almost no-one will be with me on this suggestion, how-ever I feel that the three changes above would solve 99% of the problems with the current issues and complaints from both sides regarding pursuits and "fairness". The downside is it would introduce a massive economic change which I know most of the server would be against and hate. But the over-all impact would be beneficial. Vehicle Repair Cost Reflected By Vehicle Value Firstly, I would like to suggest a fix to the current primary issue revolving around pursuits. 1) Criminals using supers and or very valuable performance vehicles to commit petty crimes or even just to evade for fun. 2) The majority of LEO's using Scout which outperforms the majority of vehicles in the city, forcing the criminals to limit themself to the high-performance valuable vehicles mentioned in 1) A suggestion to combat this, would be to have repair costs at least somewhat reflected by the value of the vehicle being repaired, it logically does not make sense that a $1,000,000 car which is damaged to 200 costs $1,000 to fix. And then a $10,000 Warrener that is damaged to 800 also costs $1,000. I feel like the repair cost should be reflected by A) The import value of the vehicle and B) The condition that the vehicle is currently at. As an example. If the repair cost was 10% if the import value but also based on the vehicle's health condition. A $1,000,000 vehicle damaged to 500 (50% health) would cost $50,000 to repair, if it was totalled to 0 it would cost $100,000. But a $10,000 vehicle damaged to 500 (50%) health would cost $500 to repair, if it was totalled to 0 it would cost $1,000 This would be a massive change to the current economy of the server and is the part of my suggestion that I feel 99% of the server will be against and hate. However, it would force players to use scrap-yard cars, stolen cars and cheaper vehicles when committing petty crime. It would also give additional encouragement for people to drive more realistically when driving expensive vehicles. The massive downside, beside the impact it will have on everyone's pocket. Is the grief side of it. Of what happens if someone with a Warrener intentionally crashes into a 10F. This is where I will introduce the next part to this suggestion. Of introducing some sort of insurance faction which would have to be player ran due to the complications that would come from automating it. Players would be expected to take insurance and providing the 10F owner has RP bodycam/dashcam proof of the collision. An investigation could take place and the Warrener owner would be made responsible for all damages if they we're responsible. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader) Another thing which absolutely needs to be addressed is the current BOLO system, the BOLO currently is basically a glorified notepad, requiring LEO's to manually read and remember the current BOLO'ed vehicles and plates which is both un-realistic and impractical. In real life vehicles and speed cameras are fitted with ANRP's which automatically read and flag vehicle plates when passing Speed Cameras and/or cruisers, this ANPR could be used to flag vehicles belonging to A) Suspended drivers B) Drivers with an active warrant C) Plates which have been BOLO'ed This would of course appear to be very LEO favoured, however. If it was implemented, LEO's would be able to drive their pursuits in a much more realistic manor, as if they retrieve the plate of the evading vehicle. They can simply BOLO that plate and the vehicle will be flagged to units when passing any ANPR. This would allow LEO's to operate in a way much closer to real life, organising sting operations and raids instead of always resorting to a pursuit. Changes to vehicles LEO's use If either or of the above suggestions were to be implemented, even if just the ANPR for LEO's. LEO's would no longer need to rely on Scouts most of the time. LEO's would be able to use Crown Vics and there wouldn't be so much pressure and focus on "Winning" pursuits. As currently there is a massive win mentality around pursuits because we all know if the criminal is successful in evading, then currently it ends there. And if they are able to change vehicle after evading there is nothing LEO's can do. If there was an ANPR system added, LEO's would have the added reassurance of knowing the vehicle is on the ANPR system and WILL be flagged at a later date if it's seen. Where the driver/owner can then be interviewed, and statements can be taken at the station as would happen in real life. And if the extreme economic change was made, then there would be much more variety in the vehicles used by criminals, also allowing LEO's to not rely on the Scout 99% of the time and making for more fun and realistic chases. TLDR; Who is the suggestion for? - These changes would primarily be to benefit the RP between Criminals and LEO's and being balance and fun and engaging RP between the two as opposed to the current "Win" mentality. However, it would have a big economic impact on the entire city, which I already know many people would be against. But it WOULD be better in my honest opinion. Why is the suggestion being made? - If the above changes are made, interactions between criminals and LEO's would be much more engaging and in depth, with genuine fun RP to come from it. As a side note. It would force players to drive in a much more realistic way and treat their precious vehicles as they would in real life. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Cons; It would have a massive and dramatic economic impact on the server, To be properly implemented would probably require an economic over hall. - Pros; It would force players to drive more realistically, it would make pursuits much more realistic and achievable, it would bring more fun and engaging RP operations, it would serve as an additional way to cull the currently dying economy. How should the suggestion be implemented? - Honestly, it is probably highly un-realistic due to the dramatic economic change that would be required to pull it off. It would honestly probably require a complete over hall of the current economy and at the absolute extreme an ECRP 2.0 with a re-done economy (But this is at the very extreme and I doubt that idea would get any traction)
  13. Additionally, to this. With the additional of the second drop off location (Neither drop of works for dropping bodies I tried). We have to take the job in Paleto and the vehicle in paleto with no way of taking a vehicle or the job from the city location. I'm assuming the intention was to allow us to take the vehicle and job from either or location.
  14. General Information Full Name: Kyu Aberdeen Nickname: Barbie Age: 29 Birthday: 16-06-1992 Nationality: White-British Religion: Atheist City of Birth: Manchester, England Mother tongue: English Additional languages: BSL, ASL, German, French, Spanish Chapter One - Prologue Kyu was born into the world as a bastard child with a father nowhere in the picture to be seen. Her birth mother, who you could say also had a very difficult and challenging upbringing had her ways of coping with the stress and struggles of raising life into this planet. Unfortunately those coping methods a lot of alcohol and drugs. Because of this Kyu never had much social interaction from the moment she was born, with a mother that was too doped up on drugs to raise her with the proper social skills required to excel in life. By the age of two years old, Kyu had still never been given the true proper care a developing baby needs. And this would pave the way for many behavior disorders being detected by playgroups and nurseries, it was noted on the record that there were days Kyu would turn up to nursery looking malnourished. One particularly keen-eyed nursery teacher one morning notices unusual-looking burns on Kyu's arm while she was playing with the other toddlers. Unfortunately, Kyu was very behind on developmental skills, so communicating with her about her burn was not an option, instead, the teacher decided to prompt make a note of it on record before calling and informing social services of potential issues at home. Fast forward three days, in the residence that Kyu and her mother live, social service works knock on the door with a firm and confident knock. As the door creeks open the two social workers are immediately hit with the odor of smoke and alcohol, after a brief introduction the social workers are invited inside to assess the situation, however not much assessment is needed at all and they take immediate action to remove Kyu from that environment. Followed by all legal procedures and hearings to have Kyu placed in the care and supervision of a local Foster home. Kyu would go on to live most of her childhood being transferred from one foster carer to another, because of her mounting behavior issues, foster carers had a very difficult time adjusting to their lives while caring for Kyu, and this was the reason for her being transferred back to the Foster house repeatedly. Fast forward to Kyu's 18th Birthday, at this point Kyu has been all but rejected from the system, the last time a carer attempted to take her in was 3 years ago since teenagers already have a difficult time finding a carer, and with the added issues that Kyu carries her hope for care was all but completely diminished. Now being officially over the age of 18 she is released from foster care and social services and now has a long and difficult journey ahead of her, as she now has to attempt to recover her life and make something of herself without the help of a loving family to support her financially or emotionally. Chapter Two - Dark Descent For the past two years, Kyu manages to barely scrape by in life by using the one skill she had to freelance some money, art. She spent a lot of her days around public libraries so that she was able to accept commissions for digital art and this would be how she scraped by in life. It was never a luxurious lifestyle, nor was it a particularly happy lifestyle. However, it was enough for her to keep a roof over her head and survive. At the age of 20 Kyu had discovered that the college close to her had a program running for the next semester which would allow her to enroll in a digital art course for free for 4 years. Baring she was successful with the course she would then be able to progress to an A-Level education all from government funding and without breaking her already very scarce bank account. Due to Kyu's mountain social disorders, she never did quite fit in on this course. She was one of the only girls in the class and the other girls disregarded her as a possible classmate since she was mentally very different from everyone else. She would intentionally sit as far away from anyone else as she possibly could, and where ever she could avoid conversation she would do so. Due to Kyu's poor ability to maintain herself both mentally and physically, she developed a rare and unfortunate mouth infection, which, because of her anxiety she avoided ever calling the GP regarding this infection and she just assumed it would go away as she tried to self treat it with mouth wash daily. Unfortunately for Kyu this infection would spread down her throat and begin to impair vocal cords from properly functioning, Kyu never did like talking to people much anyway. So even when she began to lose her voice she refused to be checked medically and would attempt to continue with her life as normal, things would get increasingly difficult for her as she would begin to struggle to keep connections with freelance graphic design clients and all but a few loyal clients would slowly stop coming back to her for commissioned art. Fast forward to near the end of Kyu's college course, by the time Kyu's medical condition has developed into more than a simple infection and she is at this point entirely mute and unable to project her vocals more any more than a very airy whisper as air exits her lungs in a completely undirected fashion and she would have to rely more and more on lip-syncing and sign language to properly communicate. This was something that Kyu never imagined to be a problem she would deal with in life, as she never did like to socially interact with anyone anyway. However, she quickly discovered that the most simple of tasks such as going to the store or dealing with clients becomes a thousand times harder when communication is lost. At this point, Kyu's condition is very well known within the class, and she becomes somewhat of a laughing stock around the class, one grim rainy morning Kyu manages to drag herself out of bed to get to college on time, the weather is cold, wet and miserable and dark clouds fill the sky making daylight appear like night. As the bell for the first-class rings Kyu makes her way to her routine position, Kyu always sat at the back of the class as far away from social interaction as she possibly could. However, today was different as a student she barely knew or interacted with sat in the one seat directly beside her. Kyu's social anxiety would be peaked and she was completely unable to concentrate on the class when halfway through the lesson this uninvited student began to position his hand on Kyu's upper thigh as he watched for her expression. Kyu would be in absolute shock and would appear completely stunned and emotionless as the student notices the lack of reaction and begins to slide his hand between her clothes and skin and proceeds to sexually assault her. Kyu would freeze with complete shock, her body telling her to make a scene, raise a hand, retaliate but her brain being in complete shock she would stare blankly towards the front of the class as a single teardrop would roll down her face. At the end of class, Kyu would have accomplished nothing in her blank emotionless stare, she would be the last to exit the classroom and she would leave the gates of the college and continue walking all the way home, where she would bury her head into the. Although blank in expression, this alteration would be the beginning of her lowest point in life as she would descend into a dark and miserable place, for weeks she would not leave her apartment, she wouldn't eat or drink properly nor would she get a full night of sleep. It would not take long at all for rumors to spread around the college about the events that took place on that dark and grim morning, however, the rumors would have the story entirely twisted to make Kyu appear as if she wanted it to happen, after constant abuse and harassment Kyu decided for her mental health it would be best if she dropped out of college, and that would be the last time Kyu would attend class. One late evening in a depressive slump shortly after self-harming, Kyu would throw a single dart at a map of the globe on her bedroom wall which would happen to land on Los Santos. Without hesitation, Kyu would look up the next cheapest flight to Los Santos International grabbing only the things could pack in her bag and leaving everything else behind her and a search for great new adventures.
