So overall I think we can agree that BZ gas is a very fun weapon to use but is currently very overpowered, my suggestion is to change it so instead of doing as much damage as it does it should do a lot less damage or none but should give you a sort of status effect in a similar way in which drugs do; distorting your vision and giving you a sort of drunk effect you so stumble around and can't really see. This would make it a lot more realistic and would give people the chance to actually RP with it rather than using it as just another weapon when you can't push somewhere. For example, PD/SD can't push a lab so they throw tear gas in, it disorientates people and makes it so they can't really aim properly then following that they could push and actually eliminate the threats. Also it would make use of functional gas masks being used to avoid this affect from taking place, which would allow criminal and LEO players to have some sort of way to counter it.

I'm not saying that overall its a bad thing since they are very fun when they do happen, however they do need to be done right and have a lot of rp/reasoning surrounding the breakout rather than just running off as soon as they're taken outside knowing as quiet said they can't be shot due to the guard not having DM rights. If this was to be implemented the system would be abused and it would lead to many breakouts without admin approval, especially given a lot of peoples track records when it comes to following rules as soon as they get locked up. I do agree more things need to be added for inmates whilst they are inside but those things take time and a large amount of discussion both from an OOC and IC standpoint. Personally I think more things need to be added inside of the prison with script support before we can move to do things outside of there.

As someone who's played doc for 1.5yrs I would not trust a single inmate to leave DOC unless lethal force was authorized for anyone trying to escape Also it would lead to more attempted prison breaks which require prior to approval which presumably people would ignore given the easy opportunity to get away. Finally it would require a decent amount of dev work as the current system doesn't allow anyone to leave DOC unless they are unprisoned which has to be done by admin staff otherwise they are automatically tped back when they try and leave.

Made Man Ceremony The Path to Becoming a Made Man In the world of the Sicilian mob, becoming a made man is one of the highest honours you can get, a rite of passage for members showing that you are trusted and respected by your peers and the higher ups. This status is very hard to achieve and is reserved for members who have proved themselves time and time again. Earning the Honour The process starts off with a vote among the members of command after discussion between themselves. Each member evaluates the candidates worthiness depending on their past actions, loyalty, and total contributions to the mob. To pass the voting stage the vote needs to be unanimous as a testament to his standing between all of the command members. If one person is even wavering then it will be called off as they still need to prove themselves more. Rigorous Selection Process If the vote is successful, we move onto the next stage which is an in depth look into the candidates personal affairs, his phone records and financial statements are examined to make sure that nothing is wrong in any way such as ties to law enforcement or secret activity going on to avoid putting the mob in and danger. Once this is fully completed then he passes onto the next stage of the process. Secrecy and Scrutiny The candidate is separated from the rest of the members and taken away with the command to a secluded, undisclosed location. This makes sure that the meeting is confidential and prevents any interruptions to this sacred process. Now in this hidden area the final test will begin, the candidate is questioned rigorously testing his loyalty and readiness to take on this role. At any time if anything is off the whole process will be called off until they are properly ready. This final test is meant to test their mental fortitude and their commitment to the mob. The Ten Commandments and Purification Next a fire is lit by a member of command, symbolizing purification and renewal. All the members present stand on one side of the fire in silence and the candidate stands on the other. One by one the 10 commandments of the mob are recited, each commandment has a large amount of meaning behind it which is the lifeblood of the mobs existence. These commandments bind us together and set standards for how each member should act and carry themselves. The candidate must repeat back and agree to every commandment so they acknowledge that these are the rules they have to follow if they want to move forwards. Receiving the Black Hand and Transformation The final act of this process involves the prospect placing their hand into the ashes of the previously lit fire, this is known as receiving the black hand and signifies his transformation. The ashes symbolize the trials they have gone through and their commitment to the mob marking them as a made man. This gesture marks the ritual as complete and that they are a revered and trusted member of the mob. A Binding Covenant This ceremony is not a formality but a deep, binding commitment for potential candidates, showing their dedication to the family. It is a moment of immense pride as the candidate moves into the new role which is a great honour and a huge responsibility. From this day forwards he is no longer an average member, he is one of us and bound by the sacred oaths that define us.

+1 Like said before it was already hard enough to get away from PD/SD with air before this script was added, now with the script it removes most opportunities to actually get away from air due to them being locked onto your vehicle anytime you are in a pursuit with them. At least if something like this is gonna be added there should be something on the other side which makes it more balanced such as reopening half the closed off tunnels to make breaking line of sight easier. Or better than that make the helicam fully user controlled rather than having the copilot sat there letting lock on do all the work.

Date and time (provide timezone): 03/MAY/2024 Character name: Alex Pedolski Issue/bug you are reporting: /panim camera allows you to see through walls if you stand up against them Expected behavior: You shouldn't be able to sse through the wall with a camera, could be abused in certain situations Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: /panim camera then walk up to a wall and look directly at it, right click to activate the camera and you'll be able to see through the wall directly in front of you Ignore audio at the start, was watching swat in the background

+1 Running around DOC is chaos with this hotkey as it ends up with you tackling every door whilst trying to respond to things.
-
-1 I enjoy the function and have utilised it from both a criminal and legal side, I don't see any downside to this function other than its weird hotkey placing. Like was said before give people time to adjust and I'm sure it'll be a good thing as it adds variety and more script support to what people do through rp anyways. From a legal side this adds more variety and more opportunities for RP especially with this function being enabled for both LEO and crim From a crim side it leaves resisting to more than just luck with /dice, it also prevents people from running from RP by adding a script alternative. I feel that it could be abused by a small number of people but also it just replaces "/me attempts to grab the man" if it is used properly and in the correct scenarios. Anyone who has used the tackle feature knows that the range is limited and you have to be fairly accurate for it to actually work, from a crim perspective its a lot easier to predict than someone running up to you and typing out rp then basing the outcome on the result of a /dice.

+1, don't know why this hasn't been thought of before as it doesn't really make sense how it currently is

Not necessarily, chicken burgers here in the UK use chicken filets most of the time and I have never once heard anyone call them a chicken sandwich. Going off the definition that's right but it changes depending on where you are in the world.
-
I mean that is a good idea except there are always some outliers with high-ish xp that still don't know commands or returning players that aren't familiar with the new commands.

A hamburger is a beef patty, if it's a chicken "patty" it would be a chicken burger

Hear me out.....Cops drop their weapons and other items not normally dropped.

I don't agree with the original post but some sort of benefit out of shooting at police would be good but I know that's going to immediately be shut down with the same argument that people would hunt cops which would probably happen knowing a lot of crims. It would be good if a balance was found between these but there's gonna be issues whether is changed it stays the same. For example cops being fined for losing weaponry if they die but that sorta breached NLR from the server side. -
-1 Probably not useful for th crim aspect but from a legal side a lot of the time it's useful to check someone's XP if they aren't responding so you can work out if they may need a little assistance with commands and responding to rp
-
Yeah my first point was the main one and if it wasn't agreed that that was a helpful fix it was some other options that might help.
-
That was a response to his question rather than a situation relating to the original statement. I understand that but I'm saying generally there isn't a need for anything over 100AP from the LEO side, I'm not even saying it should be a fair fight between crims and cops because it shouldn't be all I'm saying is that it's unnecessary these days to actually need that high levels of AP especially with the gang cap being lowered.
-
I mean it's an quite a common occurrence but that's another discussion
-
I mean at the end of the day you'll have a different experience to me, but every in my experience it most commonly occurs when a bank is hit or a shootout happens between LEO and crims cops decide to run in with not a care in the world and try to take fights even when they are heavily outnumbered rather than waiting for backup partially due to poor judgement from the officer partially due to the fact that they have the advantage of not having to worry about being shot at the same way crims do. I know that tactics are involved for a lot of pre-planned situations but when they randomly appear through roleplay this isn't taken into consideration and it's just who has the better gun and who can tank more shots. Edit: remembered an example from today which partially proves my point, during a mandem/shadows bank today we were about 20 strong mainly armed with .50s in case of PD response. A swat officer who is riding solo and about 2 minutes ahead of any other backup parked up outside the bank completely in the open and hopped out to which he was then immediately killed by us. This sort of moves away from my main point but it is an answer to your original question.

I'm just saying in general the level of AP should be lowered this isn't based off of any specific experience with SWAT. I'm saying that this level of AP was probably necessary back in the day but I don't see any need for it these days, it just means cops act like juggernauts rather than focusing on tactics from personal past experience and stories I've heard from others. I've been in SD myself and 100ap constant was just completely unnecessary and only required in the biggest shootouts we had.
