What kind of armour do you think that would be realistically comparable to? Other than a bombsuit. And would swat operators actually use this kind of armour? As swat yourself do you feel that there is any need for 200ap anymore? If you lowered it then you could have more of a focus on tactics rather than just running in like juggernauts

This may have something that has been said before but I just wanted to comment on my view of this from being on both the crim and LEO side of this. I have a few points to make: 1) Firstly I believe that anything above 100ap is unrealistic and should be removed from LEO factions but I know that this idea will just be hated on by the METRO and SED players than constantly run this. Other than a bomb disposal suit nothing should be this powerful so my idea was to reduce regular patrol cops to 50ap and have DB, SIB, SED, and METRO have access to 100ap, I think 150-200 was a necessity a while back when gangs had 40+ members and cops were heavily outnumbered but these days it seems like overkill. 2) My next point is about reducing the price of AP for import, maybe by 5k not that it's too expensive but having it more easily accessible would create better situations. So we have 100ap at 15k, 75ap at 10k, and 50ap at 5k since its not really very useful anyways especially when going up against LEO. 3) Lastly if it isn't agreed that the first point is something that may help the community access to 150ap and 200ap should extend across to crim as well as LEO, it makes no sense why it isn't already accessible. 4) Add some sort of sluggishness effect when using higher AP armour as it makes no sense that you can still move freely and speedily with that much protection on that realistically weigh a lot

I think a simple fix to all of this is making it so that you can access the contents of a bag whilst it is on your person, just how you would be able to IRL, I'm not saying make it instant but you could have a quick action timer when taking things in/out of the bag. In my opinion this is what makes the most sense.

I think the tramway idea is great but it being some sort of teleport function could be very easily abused. There is also the issue about desync which is why a lot of the tunnels were originally closed from what I've been told. I agree that parachutes should be very accessible to all but they should be fairly expensive to avoid misuse and add some sort of risk to you throwing yourself off of cliffs. I think 15-20k seems like the right price point for the benefit you gain out of using one especially if you are using them to get away from PD/SD.

Oh didn't realize it was already a discussion, thanks. This just further confuses me on why it hasn't been implemented since it has been suggested multiple times with only a positive response

As the title states I believe that melee attacks from unarmed individuals are way too powerful as they currently stand, up to the point of them doing more damage than the majority of firearms, for a example it takes 4-5 melee attacks to injure someone on full health whereas it takes 7-8 pistol mk2 round to do the same damage which is very unrealistic. In my opinion the damage of attacks like this should be halved to the point where it takes 8-10 melee attacks to injure someone who is on full health. This is even more necessary with the GTA melee combat system being so buggy.

Police ruining the quality of roleplay in this server.

The reason we utilize heavy weaponry inside of doc is due to the heavy damage that you take from melee attacks from inmates, along with the amount of attacks we receive especially when we are alone. There are strict rules around the use of these weapons icly which means punishments are regularly issued if these rules are broken, again we are still subject to deathmatching rules like everyone else. Also another point of us using heavy weaponry is that it is very common when people get into doc for them to fully ignore fearrp/deathmatching rules that they would obey outside of the prison which means we are attacked much more regularly and have to use this if we want to keep it a fair fight. To put this into perspective you can injure someone on full health with 4-5 melee attacks, however a pistol mk2 which is what firearms trained officers can carry regularly can take upwards of 7-8 shots to take down an inmate and even on the heavier side a carbine mk2 which you were shot with can also take upwards of 5-6 shots to take down an inmate so "unarmed" isn't really a justified reason to not use heavy weaponry but this is a completely different conversation. A simple fix to this issue would be to have lockdowns very consistently but Im sure you would also take up issue with that. All of my comments are made from personal experience over a fairly long time of working there on one of my characters, I also have a large amount of time on my criminal character experiencing this from the other side. -
It uses the scroll wheel by default, if that wasn't working then I'm not sure
