karl_vsm Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 (edited) /dropbody capabilities (like the ones at MD) except only works on inmates serving time and doesn't work on regular people. I believe that this would help both us officers and the inmates because right now the current system is not efficient because inmates spend up to 10 minutes waiting to die fully staring at a celling instead of being able to create role-playing opportunities inside the cellblock, with this new implementation it would be much more efficient as officers and inmates could do the medical RP and then when the RP finishes the officers could just do /dropbody and take the inmates back to the cell block this way there is no time waiting to go back there would be less confusion because some people get confused about how nlr won't apply because they die they think it would apply and inmates won't lose their belongings Edited January 6, 2022 by karl_vsm 2 8 Quote
Chunder Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 If it was implemented then it would just need to work for inmates. Having it work for everyone would be very OP and incredibly exploitable. 1 Quote
Iriael Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 My personal suggestion is instead of /dropbody is to have a /prisonStabilize command that can only be used by DOC officers. The command would work similar to MD's stabilize, but instead of needing to go to the hospital, it would leave them on low health. This would give meaning to the prison fights and the health, but stops the need to OOC hand back peoples items. This would also stop DOC guards from just eternally treating each other, and make it clear that you still need to RP your injuries. Dropbody can easily be abused, and making it an animation and DOC only helps reduce that abuse. From an IC side, I would like guard to need to be trained in this, like they are with many other faction commands, but this one would also require your medical licenses to ICly do it. It would be great if you could scriptly mandate that, but I don't know how hard that would be to implement. 1 Quote
Ash Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 This would be neat to have, we do medical RP without our medical team division on injured inmates but there's nothing we can scriptly do for them. /dropbody would be a nice fix for that. I'd personally prefer if it only worked on inmates so injured guards can go to MD. (Which isnt an option for inmates since they teleport back) However any other solutions could also work such as mentioned above where doc guards would have a way to revive inmates with a command, which would come with OOC faction regulations pretty easily so only medically trained staff can do it otherwise it'd be powergaming. I do think it's very important to note they should still come with low HP and/or wellness to prevent them instantly getting into another fight and it being an endless cycle. 1 Quote
KimeyBear101 Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 I agree with this completely! It would be important for DOC to have an ability with being able to scriptly heal an inmate, since they aren't able to be taking to a hospital. 1 Quote
RyacDex Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 Totally agree! Especially as its unrealistic to ask your guard to take your stamps, food / water / inventory - just because you have to die. 1 Quote
Mooks Posted January 9, 2022 Report Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) +1 I agree but also think that the devs should prioritize making something to do in DOC which would actually create RP opportunities instead of AFKing your sentence each time. Edited January 9, 2022 by Mooks spag 1 Quote
