tommw Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 Sup, So I was holding up a store with two other guys, and a police officer rolled up in his vehicle and blocked the entrance of the store. I stated to the officer that I forced the other two guys to grab to grab the cash, and was now holding them hostage. The officer failed to roleplay this scenario saying that he saw the other players helping out, which they would be in the scenario I put to him. He refused to remove the vehicle, which is forcing our option of roleplaying to essentially one, giving up. Several minutes passed and more officers arrived when they finally agreed to move the vehicle and asked us to come out of the store. At this point i still had a 'hostage' at gunpoint, so we were planning on moving to the vehicle, where we would probably get into a police chase. However as soon as we walked out of the store, we were all tased. Forcing us to give up and be arrested. I'm disappointed in the way the situation was handled by the initial officer who effectively removed any free roleplaying actions by our group. How is this situation viewed by the community? We were all a bit bummed out from this situation because we had made the plan going into the robberies and got stifled into forced roleplaying.
Captain Tofu Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) I wouldn't assume the PD has to believe your story. But I see PD also not give you any chance in the situation by blocking the door with his car, only times I've personally seen PD pull up at a store I was robbing, they had the decency not to do so. Gappy Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 In the future try to record any incidents like this and if you believe Powergaming or Non-RP are involved; Send it to a member of staff and they will give you the verdict. 1
CaesarSeizure Posted May 9, 2020 Report Posted May 9, 2020 Personally i am against blocking any door with a vehicle, as the script only allows you to push the doors, while it would make sense to pull the doors and climb over the obstacle. 1
