Aieos Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 If you take the salary, it'll say in the chat: "You saved $x,xxx from your philanthropic activities" or something similar. This is the amount you saved from taxes. If you're in the middle bracket (15%) you'll end up getting the full $96k from salary, even though it says after taxes it's $82k
InvalidSun Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Also, bear in mind, the tax is applied when money is added to your salary, not when it's pulled out. So if you were to receive say a $600,000 check to your salary, you will be pushed into the 35% tax bracket, but the $600,000 will only be taxed the 15% (or 0% with VIP). This works the other way around, as well, if you were to go down a tax bracket by, say, buying a house. The money that's in your salary has already been taxed, there's no changing that.
Blcksilk73 Posted April 23, 2020 Author Report Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) I redeemed 82,029 out of 96,449 so the tax went in full. Now when I'm looking at my salary, I don't have to pay taxes anymore, and it shows like this : https://imgur.com/a/6TNTp0k Clearly, there was a bug when I withdrew the 82k, losing 14k. This is the first time I'm requesting a refund, and I am doing so because it's a paid VIP. I know it's not a huge amount of money either IG or OOC, however, I'm kindly asking for y'all to do the right thing and for the money that I've lost because of the issue to be returned. @Aieos Yes, I was thinking the same thing, that even if it says 82k, I'll get 94k cause I'm a VIP. But no, I did not. In the picture posted above, it tells me I'll get 4k out of 4k. When I withdrew the initial 82k, I was unable to see the "filantropic" message. You can also check the timestamp and the VIP purchase history so that you'll be able to see I was indeed a VIP the moment I have withdrawn the money. You can also see in the picture i've posted in this comment that my VIP expires on the 22nd, which means the VIP was bought on the 22nd, and when I withdrew the money it was the 23rd as it was half an hour past 00:00. Thank you for your response and assistance! Edited April 23, 2020 by Blcksilk73
Osvaldon Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 @Blcksilk73 hello, thank you for your bug report. Taxes accumulate the moment money is added to your salary, if you earn your salary while you are not VIP, then normal tax rates are applied. In other words, calculations are not done at the time of withdrawal.
Blcksilk73 Posted April 23, 2020 Author Report Posted April 23, 2020 Got it. Thank you for the plausible response, @Osvaldon. Lock the thread if needed. Have a great one!
