Sophine
Housing Improvements Problem At the moment there is very little to spend your money on once you have a house and a car and everything else you might need for a life in Los Santos. Maybe you might want to buy more houses and rent them out? Or maybe you want to buy more cars and need somewhere to store them? One thing that I’ve been wondering about is why there aren’t more things that require a constant, weekly outgoing to maintain. Example: insurance payments on cars or houses, or property tax for properties that get paid to the local government. Suggestion Have houses that players own require a monthly/weekly upkeep that gets paid to the local government based on its value. This would mean that having larger and more houses would cost the owners more money to keep those houses, including those players that leave the game and never come back. You could tie this in so that if someone is unable to pay for a period of time then the amount gets taken as debt, but if this goes on long enough then the property forecloses and the house becomes available for sale. Tied into this, I would love to see houses have upgrades that you can buy, which also increase the value of the home. For example, you could have a first aid kit or health bar installed in your home that would allow you to slowly increase your health up to full while inside. This would mean that you wouldn't need to always chase ambulances for those pain pills and would give people a reason to go home and patch up after a gunfight or car crash. Another upgrade might be the ability to create extra slots for cars at the house (within reason) with each slot creating a greater and greater value for the property (and thus a greater tax each week). Each house could be given a minimum Garage rating and a maximum Garage rating that you can upgrade and downgrade within. You could also make it possible to decrease or remove these things in case the upkeep becomes too high for the owner. You could also, maybe, tie this into the possibility of changing the interiors of buildings with money, too. If you don't like that one particular 2G interior, maybe you could remove all furniture inside, pay some money, wait a week, and you'd have a whole brand new interior to your liking instead. Who wants a 3G house with a 2G interior? Conclusion People don't have enough to spend their money on and the options within housing aren't really all that great. It would be nice to get some script things together that could help to alleviate both of these problems with a really nice, immersive improvement to housing.

Xoza
I suggested this as well a long while back, or some form of it.. or I was part of one of them? I don't remember. The conclusion was at the time, taxes were increased and you are taxed based on what you owned and that's covered in taxes instead of paying monthly amounts to own said homes, property, business and vehicles. If taxes were dropped dramatically on salary and a monthly 'payment' happened based on property ownership. +1. This could also open a whole lot more automation as well as market adjustments. Msato
+1 in certain aspects, The building system allows a money sink for individuals who are interested in this. However for the people who choose not to build they should have another option. Newer style interiors should be purchasable with both IC Cash or Credits. These interiors would be pulled from the existing gtao interiors and then mapped per house tier e.g. 1g and 2g's have different variation. Unique aspects such as this provide all players additions goals and should be added.
JakeInnit_
Having multiple houses already decreases your base income and increases your tax, but yea it makes sense to have to pay upkeep fees on all properties including businesses, buildable properties, houses and warehouses. What would happen if you could not afford the upkeep but you didnt want to sell the house? Would it be added to the bank debt?
