awp8883 Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 Civilians who steal a police car can turn on the lights, but when pressing Q for the sirens, nothing happens. In the F5 command menu it says for On duty police officers only. This makes no sense, if a civvie can turn on the lights, they should be able to use the siren aswell. Also the need for a key in a police vehicle is kinda OP, nobody else gets that, if the engine turns off on a police car, you cant turn it back on unless your police, even of the car is unlocked. This should be added to all cars or taken from police cars. Its kinda unfair. 1

It's almost like you are asking to be jailed. 1
Copes Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 Pointless suggestion in my opinion. Stealing police cars on its own is idiotic in terms of rp and the last thing we need are features to encourage it more. 1
Yputi Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) although I do agree it's not great RP to steal a cruiser, it still makes sense being able to toggle this (lights/sirens). Restricting it would be kinda weird imo and not realistic. Not for the keys though, that makes sense Edited October 31, 2019 by Yputi
Cyrus Raven Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 +1 Stealing a police car can be seen as non-RP, but that doesn't mean that there aren't situations that warrant it. No other vehicles have this limitation regarding the keys and not being able to turn the engine off unless you are a cop. So either make it the same as others, or make it so that if someone turns the engine off in their vehicle (manually through down arrow, not through stalling) it automatically needs keys unless you lock pick the ignition. So people who want to be safe can turn the engine off and lock the vehicle, providing two barriers to stealing vehicles. Not only would it make it more realistic, it would also fix the advantage by giving it to everyone.
