cheatonus Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 Since there's no way for a person to assess the situation outside of their home after they wake up players shouldn't be able to rob them as they leave their houses. The only exception I can see to this is if someone is under the 3 hour revenge rule. A player should be able to, at the very least, open their door and walk outside and back in. At the most there should be a 10 second window to leave your house, unpark your car, and get out of the area. In reality if you lived in a bad neighborhood you'd check out the window before you walked outside, and probably even have some sort of security system. If you saw some shady guys outside your house you'd probably call the cops before you left. I'm not avocating for a completely safe and realistic scenario here, just a rule to give a homeowner some chance to avoid getting robbed in these scenarios.
xxxJustTimmy Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 -1 to adding a rule about this but +1 for an ability to look out the windows or camera to see outside (probably really hard/impossible to do) 1
cheatonus Posted May 28, 2019 Author Report Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) It may be impossible considering you're not necessarily at your home location when you're in your home. However, there could be some widget that sits outside the home that allows you to get a list of players, or just query if there are any players within 10 or 20 feet of your front door. Could be a command like /vehiclestats which work remotely. /Doorcam for instance. Edited May 28, 2019 by cheatonus 1
xxxJustTimmy Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 Yeah I like that idea +1 but still I don't think there should be a rule about this.
BallinByNature Posted August 5, 2020 Report Posted August 5, 2020 We have implemented new robbery rules since this suggestion. Thank you.
