Benjenova Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Report Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM (edited) After timing a typical delivery run, I noticed that the vast majority of the time is spent waiting rather than actually driving. Current average run times: Load wait time: 4m 42s Driving time: 2m 13s Unload wait time: 4m 47s This results in: Total run time: 11m 42s Total waiting time: 9m 29s Actual driving time: 2m 13s If it takes 11 deliveries to progress from Level 0 to Level 1, the totals become: Total waiting time: 1h 44m 19s Total driving time: 24m 23s Total progression time: 2h 8m 42s In other words, around 81% of the time spent progressing is simply waiting. My suggestion would be to reverse this balance. Truck driving should feel like driving, not waiting at loading bays. Consider significantly reducing load/unload wait times and increasing journey lengths instead. For example: Shorter loading and unloading times (30–60 seconds each) Longer driving routes that make up the majority of the delivery Greater emphasis on route planning, traffic, and driving skill rather than idle waiting This would make the profession feel more engaging, rewarding, and realistic while keeping overall progression times similar if desired. Players would spend more time actively participating in gameplay rather than watching timers count down. I believe this change would greatly improve the overall truck driver experience and make progression feel much more enjoyable. at the moment it feels like it just propmts being AFK and not actually interacting with the world or the players inside of it Edited yesterday at 01:25 PM by Benjenova 1 1 Quote
Benjenova Posted yesterday at 01:43 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 01:43 PM Based on the above: Level 0 to Level 1 = 11 runs = 2h 8m 42s Assuming every level takes the same amount: 2h 8m 42s × 40 levels = 85h 48m So to reach Level 40, it would take approximately: 85 hours 48 minutes total Waiting time alone: 1h 44m 19s × 40 = 69h 32m 40s waiting Quote
RedCrayonnn Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM Side not when you deliver to places like Burger Shot, load times are way faster, and the pay is better but the xp is low. But places like Burger Shot should give 3x the experience, because truck drivers are now adding to other players in the world rp experience. I also think all business should interact with the truckers. MD, PD, ect have certain supplies that could "need to replenished by a trucker as supplies are used. Mechanics, where are they even getting all these turbos any way. Engaging truckers in to other jobs would over all add to the entire worlds emersion Quote
Benjenova Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM or even just lower the limit to allow the use of a personal truck, i have made money to buy a truck but i have to now grind the 40 levels to be able to use said truck for deliveries, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me Quote
PurplePlant Posted yesterday at 03:57 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:57 PM (edited) +1 they made unloading faster if you have VIP but base unloading should be sped up Edited yesterday at 03:58 PM by PurplePlant Quote
