imran Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 (edited) Hey everyone, Imran here. After 10 years and 7,000+ hours in SAMP, and now my first 1,000 hours on this server, I’ve seen what makes or breaks a heavy RP community. I’ve put together some suggestions that focus on fixing the vehicle meta and giving people more reasons to actually use the whole map and be creative. 1. Vehicle Damage & Physics Balance Right now, the "realism" on vehicle damage feels inconsistent. We have meta cars that never deform (Kamacho/Terminus) while others break from a few hits. Disable Melee Damage to Vehicles: Pedestrians shouldn't be able to "kick" a car to death. It’s used more for griefing than RP,i found it so annoying to fully destroy a vehicle into red engine from 1 or 2 foot kicks. Fix Deformation/Damage Scaling: We need to reduce visual damage/deformation on standard cars so they can compete with the "meta" cars. This would make the streets look more diverse instead of everyone driving the same vehicles (kamacho / terminus / lacareuse ... ), or remove them, because it just makes the server more PVP then RP server, also do not make HP capped at 1000, make it more for heavy trucks and cars tht have crash bars, since these would logicaly helps vehciles to survive from accidents, cap it up to 2000 for this type. The FPS Gap: High FPS gives an unfair advantage in car physics (acceleration/handling). I suggest a 100 FPS cap server-side to balance the playing field between high-end and low-end PC users. 2. Trunk Space Logic It makes no sense for a Baller (SUV) to have the same storage as a Van. We should reward people for using utility vehicles. SUVs: 150-200vol Pickups with beds: 300vol Vans/Box trucks: 400vol Goal: This makes mining and oil jobs more logical and forces players to actually use "work" vehicles for work. 3. The "Uber" System (Veteran Perk) We need a transport system that isn't just the basic Taxi job. Requirement: Unlockable at 50,000 XP. The Job: Allows players to use their personal vehicles to pick up fares via a phone app. The OOC Rule: This is a Non-Criminal Job. You cannot rob, kidnap, or scam your passengers. This ensures that even when the server population is low, players have a safe way to get around and interact. 4. New Job: Drug Smuggler The map feels empty because everyone is stuck in LS oor labs. We need a reason to use the highways. Location:Sandy Shores. The Mechanic: Pay a $10k buy-in for a package. Deliver it to random checkpoints across the map. The Reward: $11.5k to $12.5k payout. (1500-2500 profit) The Risk: If you get robbed, the thief can keep the package. After a cooldown, they can open it for random loot (ammo/supplies) worth about $5k. This creates organic PVP and highway patrols. 5. Logistics & Economy Tweaks Trucker Buff: Decrease loading/unloading times to 20 seconds. It’s a great starter job, trucking with owned truck pays double, let’s make it less tedious so new players stay on the server. Tax Reform: Cap the total salary tax at 25%. Anything higher feels like a punishment for not having VIP. Edited February 4 by imran 1 1 Quote
Vardan Sarkissian Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 +1 on visual damage, this makes some of the "normal" cars very annoying to use. Dubstas turn into accordions after the slightest crash. +1 also on drug smuggler job. Could be linked to drug turfs and make it related to eachother somehow 1 Quote
vZelfeR Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 +1 Some great suggestions! The uber job sounds amazing too and the vehicle damage is definitely an issue! Anything over 25% tax is too much for sure, although this won’t change due to it potentially affecting the VIP revenue (Where the focus is). (DISCLAIMER: just to clarify in this section; I am in no way am I putting across a negative opinion or criticising in any way. Please don’t ban me) With the vehicle inventory space, I definitely agree with the concept. Amazing suggestion that I would love to see fed back to the devs! 1 Quote
SneakySniper Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 +1 on all but the fps thing, i pay for good computer i want the performance that comes with it. If anyone disagrees spend less time on ecrp and more time working a job to get a better pc. Good suggestions for everything else 1 Quote
Tylerwalk Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 (edited) +1 the damage on vehicles needs to be fixed. Jay brought it up in the meeting today but the question kinda got passed over. Cars like s95,elegy, scout, buffalo and so many others need to be fixed. They crumble into a crushed can with the tiniest hit making them nearly impossible to drive. I also like the idea of making bigger cars stronger than others since it makes sense. Edited February 8 by Tylerwalk 1 Quote
