MikeLidel Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 If the vehicle takes X amount of damage in an accident (Meaning. It doesn't add up to X, it has to meet or go about the X requirement) the engine of the vehicle would turn off. This forces players to drive realistically (Had a player that took one of the huge box truck/semi looking trucks off of a bridge which was about a 50-80 foot drop, and continue on their way as if nothing happened) and when Law Enforcement Officers use pursuit tactics (P.I.T) the player cannot smack into a wall going 110 and then continue on their way. This would also force LEO's to think wise in pursuits as we cannot just turn it into a wreck fest ramming everything in their path. Advantages - Limits pursuit lengths. Limits pursuit speeds to a realistic speed (No more taking corners going 110+ sliding into a wall, crushing in that side of the car and continuing on your way) 1
Xylum Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 I agree on this point. I have been chasing someone in a cruiser, PIT'd them, they hurl into a wall, flip the car and all. Drive off as if nothing happened. Really annoying. +1 from me.
Gonzalez Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 I support this as Mechanics get a little boring when there's no cars to tow +1.
Amir Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 I personally disagree. This is still GTA after all and this is not a heavy RP server where everything should be realistic to the T. If the car engine starts smoking, then I agree the engine should cut out etc. But not from a few PITs. Eventually, I would assume more people would be getting weapons and they would mainly use those in car chases to shoot tyres and such.
