Normal Posted June 11, 2025 Report Posted June 11, 2025 with all the cameras around the map, i feel pd/sd using ldo to check atm cameras (which are shit realistically) to try to gather extra info because the actual ic cameras didnt catch it is wild, i feel you should only be able to check the cameras that actually record and not be able to ldo any person about what a camera would see, after the fact of a scene info (if it was a long scene) can get hazy and lead to incorrect ldo responses, i say we should just stick to the actual ic cameras that require a laptop and do away with these random ldo cameras... 1 Quote
astrx Posted June 11, 2025 Report Posted June 11, 2025 This is a horrible take. You're essentially saying, "this sounds silly, let's take away roleplay from a roleplay server so I can get away with crimes better". -1, roleplaying camera's is a very much normal thing that has been happening for years, furthermore, ATM's would realistically have cameras. as a lot of them do in real life. alexalex303 Posted June 11, 2025 Report Posted June 11, 2025 alternatively, criminal activity could be restricted to secluded areas that do not have surveillance equipment Quote
Demonmit1 Posted June 12, 2025 Report Posted June 12, 2025 (edited) Id have to disagree with this one. Scripted cameras are an approximation of what happened. It's a scripted recreation of a car or a person, but it's extremely buggy and inaccurate to what actually happened in game. Ldo camera rp allows for a back and forth conversation, allowing the person being ldo'd to respond in a way they think is reasonable. If you think an ldo request is too "powergamingy" discuss it with the player who sent it, intentionally be vague, or ask for staff to assist. I've been on both sides of it, and the person responding is more or less in control of the outcome. Use that. Edited June 12, 2025 by Demonmit1 Quote
SneakySniper Posted August 23, 2025 Report Posted August 23, 2025 -1. Citys are full of cameras, realistically u have one on every corner, if there is a camera in the gta world in that location it should be used, or just make every camera in the game usable, but then again easier to just rp it and move on.
