Fines OR Jail time

Recommended Posts

So obviously we’ve recently had a large discussion recently about QOL in the server.

can I suggest that punishments come in the form of fines OR jail time and not both?

If it’s a crime that deserves jail time, do the jail time. If it’s a speeding ticket - it’s a fine etc.

jail is an OOC punishment as well as IC, I get the crims do crime, but losing 12k and then spending 3hours in jail after losing illegal items can be disheartening.

it would be great to be punished a little less by not being fined out the ass as well as spending 3 hours in jail on my day off! Especially as someone who does their best to provide interesting and good RP to cops!

+1, The server should reduce all prison and jail times. It’s ridiculous, nobody wants to spend 3 Hours IRL time on a pixel prison cell, I come to the server to rp and have fun, yet most of my hours on ECRP is from AFKing my time in DOC. It would be better if the was actual stuff to do in DOC, but no all you can do is pick up litter and wash laundry, and that’s no fun at all, I heard there used to be Poker and Blackjack, I think that would be cool to bring back, or just a overall good activity to do.

Most people are doing less than 2 hours in jail (108 minutes to be exact). Jail times have a cap and go down offline. Times used to be uncapped with no offline reduction.

If you want to keep reducing time in jail you may as well just be let go each time instead of getting transported to DOC.
