snipers being able to see through walls

  1. Include all necessary information, to help us track the issue faster, for example, date and time, how to replicate it.

Police snipers/ snipers don't see man add structures like creates and sandbags and can shoot through them giving them an un fair advantage of shooting through walls.

this happen to me many times but this video is the first time I have recorded it.

This isn't really a bug, because the objects these locations are being made out of, have a much lower loading distance than that of the sniper rifle. This is why I went to the trouble of adding a bunch of lab MLOs to the server. While server mapping is unique and creatively done, it creates issues like this unfortunately.

These objects are intended to disappear at the distance they disappear at, so they don't cause an unnecessary amount of performance impact on our games.

So for me someone who died in a fight and lost my stuff do to having the ability of being shot through a wall what should I do yk what I mean it could just be unfortunate but what should be done about it

Sniper rifles do not have the ability to see through walls or shoot through them, you experienced desync and for the sniper pulling the trigger, you were out of cover for them hence you got injured.

Bala just said that they did and it’s by design that way to keep server preference up…

If what Bala said is the case here, then snipers shouldn't be used in labs that have MLOs, for fairness; problem solved! However the desync bug Alexx mentioned is quite common but.. that doesn't negate the main issue here.

Tbh I agree with Harvey and this isn’t just an anti pd thing like all ppl crims and pd should just not be allowed to bring snipers to labs for the simple reason that being able to shoot through a wall bye design or not is kinda game breaking.

Yeah what im saying is it doesnt depend on the gun, its a rendering issue that makes the crates and all that invisible making you exposed to bullets as bala said but sometimes unfortunately its just desync. I got injured from the same thing as you once when we were trying to push a lab as PD and i was behind cover so i get you ( i was fuming i got injured 😭).

Yea shit always just sucks when this kind of thing happens but it’s mostly able to be taken advantage of by snipers. That’s just my thoughts tho I appreciate your input much love

To be clear, MLO interiors would be fine. It's the custom built ones using objects.

But as Alexx also said, could just be an issue of desync, which you can't really legislate for.

It's a rendering issue, as someone who has been involved in shooting and being shot at by snipers from distance, if you zoom in all the way at certain distances, the object will load however if you zoom out enough to the point it no longer renders you can shoot through it. Happens a lot with island with the sandbags and when I was in Irish on Volkov Island the PD could shoot through the whole custom building there as I didn't render for them. I don't think it can really be fixed to be honest, its been like that for years and it wouldn't be worth fixing unless the server performance would remain the same.

Binoculars are the same people. With them we can get information on people numbers and their loadouts when in reality some of them would be hiding behind a container, sandbag or a crate.

PD is at its perfect state but if we delete snipers, we should give them something back for it. If they cant fight long distance battles anymore, they will need to go close quarters. So give them 300 AP

I will try to look into it whenever I can. PD/SD should be banned from doing so, while other players may be more difficult to control, but I'd say doing something like that intentionally could count as exploitation. As someone had already pointed out, it must be a rendering distance problem and I need to research possible solutions to this problem.

As someone who mains SD im not 100% sure this is serious XD. We do not need 300 ap we shouldnt be a tank
