Hello friends, after a long time I came back to play my favorite role play server, I was studying medicine at outside of my country, but when I came back and saw, that old poker and tequilala has been removed was a pain, I still do not know why you removed the perfect script which was amazing poker script at tequilala, but now which is other's rp servers script for poker is ugly and not enjoyable like the old one, I really miss the old one and tequilala please put it back and let us have fun at Tequilala, especially you could meet a lot of people at tequilala which brings RP to the server instead of playing mostly with the NPC such as black jack, roulette, and like mostly no one is playing poker nowadays because it is at diamond casino and you cant meet anyone there like the old one tequilala...

Be the change you want to see. Get more people to go the casino with you. Same way as when people used to advertise poker games happening at tequilala

so here is the thing you cant advertise poker ad its kinda hard to get people to play poker with you and now with Blackjack and  Roulette, Its harder to convince people to play poker and not those and beside all that the poker script was much better and it was really fun , The problem with Black Jack and Roulette is you are playing against a NPC and its so boring

I'm not entirely sure why the ability to advertise poker was removed but this was prior to the casino update. and I would be down to see that portion of the suggestion done and it be reverted.

Asking for the poker script or casino to be reverted is kinda naiive. devs put alot of work into making the new casino a reality and they wont just walk it back. simple as that.

I don't like those 'be the change you want to see' comments because ultimately, you're just dooming something to fail really.
No one person is going to be able to revive something like that.

That said, it's clear there are two issues.

• One is that the Casino doesn't really get used as much any more.
• Two is that there is a section of the community that has an affinity for the old poker script, which the new casino hasn't replicated.

For me, that's a simple solution.

Re-add the old poker script, at a table, inside the Diamond Casino and instead of having people gamble with money, they have to buy the casino chips to play.

Now that's not necessarily going to get those first week vibes back at the Casino but you'll have a marginal increase in the amount of players visiting it, to play poker.

By proxy, someone might decide to jump on a Blackjack table or a slot machine then, maybe because the poker table is full or just because the other tables are there.

Casino gets more foot traffic, server takes a cut of the money out of the economy and players get the old script they liked a lot back to play against each other.

Honestly i think the mosst effective way to get people back playing poker is re-allowing weazel to advertise it. even if its only in their new "text message notification" way. 

The biggest problem people seem to be having is that there is no way to tell if someones playing poker other than running in and checking. even with tequilala after the ability to post ads was removed it was pretty evident when there was a game on because no one parked there unless they were playing poker.

With the new location being inside diamond people could be parked inside for any number of reasons. so people dash down, check, see no one around, curse the sun and then go do something else. in any given hour maybe 5-10 people who wanted to play poker does this but they all miss eachother, because they cannot post ads to let people know.

brings me to a good idea, lets make weazel advertisement for poker games or anything that includes more close person to person RP, free, lets make that a free advertisement, it stimulates rp in the server that's maybe a great idea to bring more people together in those small events

Hey, Weazel's local degenerate janitor here to give clarification on gambling ads as there's a clear miscommunication happening here on the suggestion - Weazel has 0 policy disallowing ads relating to gambling, aside from "bingo" ads.

Anyone can request gambling ads to be created/ran if you want them, and I've personally even created a popup ad for Weazel to run from time to time to draw more people to the casino, which I've shown below.

I think the aspect of people in a smaller environment where they could banter and interact in a more "homey" environment is what people truly miss, and I can see why that would be nice to see a return for that smaller, closer interaction's sake. It would be cool to see a couple of tables put in TLL and YJ so people can play there if they don't want to go to the casino, but they only take cash - not chips.

As for the script/"old version" part of this suggestion, in my opinion, the past poker script was not "perfect" and no one saw it as that unless you profited from it being broken. This new poker script is almost 1:1 with how Poker (Texas Hold Em' style) works, and it doesn't have any quirks like magic cards or bugged splits that resulted in so many people losing money on poker. It'd be silly to revert from such a nice, new, polished poker script back to one that had decks of cards that had 6 of the same card in it which resulted in people constantly losing money due to bugs. Quite honestly, it's a part of ECRP's 2018 script that needs to be left in the dust much like the old /modview, the old clothing store menu, and some upcoming UI changes that have been spoken about in the past and are being worked on. 

Poker tables (low buy-in) at TLL & YJ would be W. If you want high buy-in or a more public, noisy environment, go to the Casino.
