KimTaek Posted December 17, 2024 Report Posted December 17, 2024 The Downtown Drift Club was invited to join the Lifeinvader Christmas Market this year, and instead of selling overpriced cocoa or hand-knitted sweaters, they set up two chimneys and let people drift Santa’s sleigh between them to win a Fukaru drift tire. In this case, Santa’s sleigh wasn’t your typical reindeer-powered ride—it was one of the club’s brand-new drift cars making their debut. The setup was pretty straightforward. Two big fake chimneys—yes, like Santa could drop down them—were spaced out just enough for some seriously tricky parking. The idea was that the drift cars were Santa’s sleigh, and drivers had to drift the sleigh perfectly between the chimneys. Nail it clean, and boom: free Fukaru drift tire. Marco was on tire duty, handing out the prizes to anyone who pulled it off. Kim and Terrance managed the vehicles, ensuring everything ran smoothly. They also oversaw the three new drift vehicles on display—a sneak peek at what’s coming to dealerships soon. These cars were not only Santa’s sleigh for the day but also the stars of the show, drawing plenty of attention from the crowd. Jean and his girlfriend held down the vibe at the booth. Jean brought the music setup, blasting solid tunes throughout the day. To add to the festive setup, the club had a wall of posters showcasing highlights from their past events—a mini gallery of Downtown Drift Club’s greatest moments. Passersby stopped to check it out and ask how they could join the next meet. By the end of the day, the team was running on fumes, but it was worth it. The chimneys stayed intact (somehow), a handful of drivers walked away with brand-new drift tires, and the club may have recruited a few new faces for future events. Shoutout to Terrance, Marco, Jean, and Jean’s girlfriend for holding it all together. And to everyone who stopped by—see you at the next drift meet. 2 1 1

NinerTwoGolf Posted August 19, 2025 Report Posted August 19, 2025 (edited) Trouble with 5-0 12/08/25 With Terrance taking over the reigns of Downtown Drift Club, it was time to bring back drifting to the city. The Command and Drift Coaches were eager to get back to drifting from the hiatus. With an influx of new citizens and long standing members coming back after long vacations, as well as even more drift cars being imported, it was time to go full force. Trip decided to head back down to the First HQ by the docks, utilizing an old warm-up track that they haven’t since truckers started screaming down the access road and due to a sudden influx of gang violence in the area. Unfortunately, the LSPD had other plans. Jessica Nash of the LSPD attempted to rain on the parade of the Downtown Drift Club, following some members to the Docks. As soon as tires started squealing, the lights came on. They honed in on poor Jean, and soon cuffs were on him so he could "cool down", plus his license suspended. After a little convincing by Jay and Trip, Jean was soon set free. Terrance, Jay, Kim, and Trip were shocked. They had used this space for years. They watched even as trucks went flying past as they were talking. Some poor lower ranked officers were send to pass on the message that if they were caught drifting again, it would be considered Reckless Operation. Despite that start to the meet, they decided to keep going. This was the most members they had in one place since Drift King, so why stop the fun? They carefully made their way to Tackle Street by setting their cruise to 50 km/h for the fun of it to finish warming up. It was decided then to head up for the hills, and steer clear of LSPD jurisdiction if they were going to act like fools. The hills came alive with the rev bombing of engines and the squealing of tires as members made their way up and down the slopes. After a couple passes, tires were shredded and gas tanks empty. One by one, the members of Downtown Drift Club slowly trickled out. It was good to see so many members back and drifting in the city again, even with the heavy handed response from LSPD. Everyone excited for what the future holds. Edited August 19, 2025 by NinerTwoGolf 4
