Have duffle bags as separate inventory space instead of taking 10 volume

Since the duffle bag sits on your back and not in your pockets I think it shouldn't take volume away from your inventory/pocket space.

For context, one of my characters RPly carries medical supplies in her duffle bag and although it sits externally on her back it takes up 10 volume, even if it is scriptly empty.

My suggestion would be an extra slot in the clothing section like body armor/gloves ect.

I'm not sure how difficult or annoying it might be to code and I know it shouldn't be a priority but would be a nice quality of life update!

Feel free to let me know if you guys think I'm wrong or if you agree or any suggestions you may have 🙂

But you're still carrying it? Like if you had 50 volume of items in the bag, it would weight 50?

That being said, I do think the base weight should be changed to like 1 or 2 or even 5 because an empty bag over your shoulder is nothing.

very true, you would still be carrying the weight, i like your suggestion that the bag should be a little lighter when empty

+1 on the carry weight when empty.  I cannot tell you how many times I have had 15 or so pieces of clothing and it weighs more just because it is in a bag...

This does not happen. When you place items into a bag, it only increases in volume once the items inside are over 10.

Having the clothes in your "pockets" and then an empty bag on your back is when you would be accruing additional vol usage, which is what OP is trying to eliminate.

My bad.  I may have failed to convey the point properly.  If you have 15 items of clothing in a bag, each weighing 0.5 vol, that means that you have 7.5 vol of clothing in the bag, but the bag will still weigh 10 vol, as the weight of the bag does not go below 10 vol.
