  1. A Festive Night Turned Lesson at Sláinte _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Celebrations At Sláinte, our Irish pub last week, the atmosphere was something like a wild party. To get the evening going, traditional Irish music began playing which set the stage for a lively night that was unforgettable. The sound of fiddles, tin whistles, and bodhráns filled the air transporting us back to Ireland. Throughout the night, the energy in the bar kept increasing. We danced freely following beats from musical instruments. Some of us even went on top of the bar turning it into a stage for our Irish dancing. It was an amazing sight with laughter and cheers reverberating through the whole place creating an environment of pure enjoyment together as friends. The bartenders kept the Guinness flowing. The bartenders were also talented mixologists who were able to prepare several cocktails which added more to the mood for celebration. Not only did the music and dancing remind us of the pubs back in Ireland but so did the classic Irish drinks and some other innovative ones as well. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lesson Learned Despite the good time at the pub, one act ended up ruining everything. One member of the group got carried away that evening after leaving the pub. As the night died down, everyone decided to go their separate ways back to their homes. The member that got carried away, decided to drive another member to city parking so that they could pick up their car. Unfortunately for them, he was way too intoxicated to be behind the wheel. As they sang their hearts out to some classic Irish tunes, he was no longer paying attention to the road, lost control of the wheel, and swerved into a wall. The driver and passenger were both ejected from the vehicle. The crash caused a major disruption leading to instant attention from police officers patrolling the streets. The police officers heard this crash and immediately arrived at the scene. They immediately tended to both the driver's and the passenger's wounds. Luckily, it was only minor scrapes and scratches for the two of them. After their wounds were tended to and cleared of any major injuries, police officers started investigating the scene, searching for the cause of the crash. They examined the skid marks, trying to figure out how fast the car was traveling before colliding with the wall. The cause of the crash quickly became apparent to the investigating officers after speaking to the pair and it was hard to miss the obvious smell of alcohol coming off of them. A breathalyzer test was administered by the officers before making an arrest. The results of the breathalyzer test confirmed the officer's suspicions, the driver was way too intoxicated to be driving. The matter quickly escalated, and they took him into custody for charges of reckless driving and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The severity of these offenses required an immediate transfer to DOC. The member was processed, beginning his sentence and facing the outcomes of what he did. This occurrence is a wake-up call showing how much effect drinking and driving can have just from a fun night with friends. He was thankful that he only got away with some minor cuts and scratches. It could have ended up much worse. When we recall that night now, our happy celebration is tinged with remorse. It teaches us about making responsible decisions, especially when alcohol is involved. In Sláinte, our meetings are filled with friendship and warmth which are precious but it should be ensured that our pleasure does not come at risk of safety and health. As we move forward, we remind one another about vigilance and responsibility. These effervescent evenings in Sláinte, which are filled with music, dance, and laughter, constitute nice memories for us. However, they need to be balanced with an understanding of potential dangers and a resolve to make wise choices. We each have vowed to look out for one another and always have set designated drivers of the group beforehand that will ensure each member of the group gets home safely. Ultimately, the night at Sláinte was as much an illustration of the joy and fellowship that characterize our meetings as it was rather a lesson learned. Hence, the celebration must never be forgotten but rather remembered as a moment during which we should not lose focus on responsibility otherwise the nights of fun may result in undesirable consequences. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  2. +1 I agree with this and as someone who has been in many shootouts against and even with people doing this and has never personally done it because I believe it’s just completely nrp to do it. The only way I could see it acceptable is if it’s only used as a last resort, say there was only a few people on your side left and you were trying to get away or discreetly help your fellow injured gang members. The amount of times I hear the phrase “you’re shooting me you idiots” is insane (and yes, it’s BOTH sides I hear it from almost every big fight). Like just wear your own color and be proud of it. The only reason i personally go out of colors is when hiding from cops, being chased by an opposing gang solely for wearing green or when it is forced due to the opposing gang “impostering”. I think we just need to come together as a community and do better, not be so toxic to eachother and I believe impostering has a negative impact and, to be completely honest and in my opinion, promotes the toxicity that the crim side of Eclipse desperately needs to get away from right now.

  8. huge +1, it seems as though recently people try to comp factions drops just to get in shootouts and "clap" which only promotes PvP mentality. Yes, when placing a drop there is risks and possibilities of shootouts but with the addition of having them ask for something in return or having them hold them at gunpoint will make better RP sense. Also, people watch the weight drop on the dealer and use this information to comp drops as well, it would be nice to see a change in some form to this as this would be considered MG. Maybe the less "happy" or lower the dealer is- he would give smaller, specific areas the drop could land but the more "happy" or higher he is- he would give a broader area to look.
  9. huge +1, love all these improvements and would allow for so much more RP in DOC- for both guards and inmates!

Issue/bug you are reporting: Every few times I log into the server, my voice chat does not work. I attached a picture below of the notification I get. I try /vr 1 and /vr 2 multiple times, logging out and back in, completely closing RAGE, restarting my PC, messing with my mic settings but nothing seems to work. Sometimes if I wait it out it works but other times it never works until the next day I log in. Is there a fix for this that I missing? I have tried looking into it but can't seem to find a fix. Not sure if this is a problem anyone else experiences. Thanks in advance for any help or tips!!
