  6. HUGE +1 to this. personal opinion would be: replacing kevlar: 10 seconds (instead of a quick command and a 2 second auto hotkey RP) unloading a heavy weapon that would be locked in the vehicle: 10-15 seconds (instead of a quick command and a 2 second auto hotkey RP) I feel this would add a lot more realism and make law enforcement chose more tactical positioning to where they get out their vehicle and engage in combat situations. The question may arise 'but criminals can just put their armor on from their inventory and a grab a heavy gun from their car's glove box scriptly' that is a huge risk that may cost them up to 100k if caught due to the items lost and the fines placed if charged. where as law enforcement would only suffer time being taken to MD or dying, no monetary loss. (please don't take my post as a reason to turn this into a crim vs PD debate PLEASE, let's just stick to the suggestion from OP <3)
  7. very true, you would still be carrying the weight, i like your suggestion that the bag should be a little lighter when empty
  8. Since the duffle bag sits on your back and not in your pockets I think it shouldn't take volume away from your inventory/pocket space. For context, one of my characters RPly carries medical supplies in her duffle bag and although it sits externally on her back it takes up 10 volume, even if it is scriptly empty. My suggestion would be an extra slot in the clothing section like body armor/gloves ect. I'm not sure how difficult or annoying it might be to code and I know it shouldn't be a priority but would be a nice quality of life update! Feel free to let me know if you guys think I'm wrong or if you agree or any suggestions you may have

    LOWER THE GANG CAP.

lets stick to the original post? shall we? cheers my friends, since I believe it's something that can have a massive positive impact on our server

    LOWER THE GANG CAP.

big +1 15-20 would be perfect imo, it would open up gang diversity alot. I also believe people would put more effort into their faction since the spot in a gang would become more valuable which in turn could mean we get more faction posts/different crim RP. As well as make the spots in the more popular gangs higher valued (which I believe would promote better RP from their members), it also would open up gang life to people that might not have wanted to in the past for fear of being zerged/wiped out by gangs that can outnumber them 5 to 1, limiting what criminal RP or criminal scripted activities they can do, heavily. rule of 6 as mentioned by @drain & @Phantas would also solve alot of the current problems.
  12. massive +1

    Jail Times

kind of agree but I just think the charges themselves need readjusting, not all lowered, for example: evading: decrease sentence my reasoning is OOC but after all it's a game and we want everyone to have fun, evading gives yourself, your allies (helping you evade with bike set ups, taking tires and other plans), AND the police ALL have an overall fun RP experience. I think we can all agree that being chased by PD and SD is some of the most fun you can have, and I can imagine it's also fun for PD and SD to chase crims too. of course I don't want the charges reduced to a point that people evade simply for fun but I just believe that having these fun interactions with multiple factions shouldn't hurt you as much as they do when you get caught, because let's be honest, with how fast you get air 1, bikes on you and with the amount of police that join the chases it's pretty hard to evade these days unless you're on a bike yourself to begin with (maybe have different charges for different vehicles people evade in? it would also be nice to adjust the police response to the vehicle you are chasing: warrener: couple normal cop cars ect. since crims that aren't rich aren't pummelled with debt and prison since it's quite literally impossible for them to evade in normal cheaper vehicles; crim life seems to be gatekeeped for new players or people wanting to use vehicles that aren't being used simply for min/maxing) just some ideas, we all want to have fun, and the fines and time we spend in jail is what makes the chases so fun and exciting, knowing that being caught is really going to hurt your character and have you stuck in DOC for a while. Although I strongly agree people should RP more in prison, and I do my best to have fun in there when I am (pretty much daily) but after 30 mins it gets very very stale, the prison is small, there is basically nothing to do scriptly and unfortunately a lot of people don't want to have heavy RP, especially not a lot of criminals these days. TLDR: Maybe adjust prison times so crimes that have a social element or give RP/fun to other people/factions should not be so heavily punished. maybe police response should escalate with the vehicle they are chasing and the charges they believe to have committed something like that sorry for long response

  20. Love all the ideas so far honestly massive +1 from me. [Rework] I believe alot of stuff that simply has a timer/action bar should all be replaced with a mini-game especially if there is profit involved. Examples: lockpicking. grabbing cash when robbing a store. fishing. (lets be honest the AFK fishing is rather boring and requires no attention, people just tab out and watch youtube ect. while they make money, I'd rather it be a small mini game with requires more attention with a slightly higher reward than before) ect, ect. [Addition] As someone who was the leader of a gang that had a focus and lore around being hackers, I'd love to see some scripted hacking being implemented. Yes, it may take away from some detailed RP that I personally love, but adding difficult mini-games that people could master would give people like my char more depth and usefulness to other groups and gangs. Let's say, instead of the normal way of doing banks, we have the option of doing a hack beforehand to prevent/delay the bank's alarm to police. Characters like mine would be in high demand for groups whose focus is on bank robberies. This would bring back a use for the laptops that are currently useless to criminals and maybe introduce new NPC's who sell other equipment used for hacking. [Tweak] I think it's been mentioned before, but I believe people should be able to level up stats also and are rewarded for their level at certain skills with either bigger yields or being able to be faster at them, be it fishing, pick locking or hacking ect. ( pls let me be a hackerman :< )

    Rulebreaks and RP

There is a saying amongst crims on ECRP that Iv'e heard a lot; 'It's not whether you're going to get banned or not, but rather when'. MOST criminal main players feel they are all on a timer.

    Rulebreaks and RP

@Ultra3D @jason & @Bala all brought up some points that I agree with, but I'm mainly just commenting to give my own personal experience on after being unbanned and being on my last nonRP. I just want to drill home how much fear I had once being unbanned, I was genuinely scared to play on the server as the smallest mistake would result in me being banned again, I had to throw a lot of the RP I had in mind out the window and turn away from RP in game (mostly gun fights and shit talking with enemy gangs) which in turn lead me from playing 12 hours a day to maybe 1 or 2 or sometimes not even getting on, then I decided it wasn't worth even being a donator because of how little I was playing. I think the best system that would be very helpful for people like me and @Ultra3D (but may require more resources from staff) would be that maybe after a full year of playing or even 2 years you have the option to ask staff to review your logs and see if you can get some removed based on your behavior over the year and the RP you have been able to provide for the players of the server. I really do believe some sort of system to remove extremely old logs from when people were new to the server would be beneficial and allow players like myself to involve themselves in RP without the fear of someone that doesn't like them try and get them permanently banned over the smallest thing from 2 year old logs. Also shout out to @jason for being involved in the decision, and clarifying your thought process revolving bans/logs.
