lmao, what part of i already have everything im suggesting easier access to do you not understand? ive told you like 10 times in these post i already have this stuff but with so few things to do now we need to make it more realistic and fun instead of just pleasing 10 people when we can please 100

but they wouldnt be able to abuse it. like i said above " once you buy a gun a timer begins set for somewhere between 7 or 14 days in Real Life Time before you could purchase a gun again for that slot. If say for example, you bought a gun and then bought another two days later you would be able to buy 2 Firearms again but only after the 12th day and then the 14th day after the original purchases whether you have them or not " that would cause less firearms license abuse and make gangs have more control over the gun trade
-
yea, the gang my other character is in would really get tired of this real fast but i think it would more limit hardcore drugs to gangs and make them consider more income streams to increase activity.
-
whats your problem? it seems like everything i suggest you find something hugely wrong with it. i suggested the current turf system and you even said that was an awful idea which im sure most of us can agree is working pretty well. finally as a last note, i already have all of this stuff on my characters so im not sure what i would gain sense i already have the contacts to get them at will. im only suggesting these things because i see the struggle new players are going through and the burn out long time players are getting. if we dont find a way to entice people to do more, we are going to eventually have too few active players to keep a player run economy open and hurt the community as a whole.

lets look at it like this. currently if you buy a coke or weed table from a gang, you dont have to do anything more with them whatsoever. if they implemented the system im suggesting people would have to go through the gangs for everything that could make them more money. the tables, chemicals and then sell it. this gives gangs more power instead of limiting. the only thing they wont have the ability to control is the weed tables just like in real life and small growers that stay below the radar but make less money
-
that was more of an example of how some parts were being heavily monopolized. like you said, "all official gangs shared a gun and ammo supply. Ammo was EXTREMELY scarce,"
-
neither is a plastic table, a grinder or a scale
-
not even individually like the chems or suits?
-
so they will sell acid, gas mask, chemical hazmat suits and industrial grade chemicals to anyone off the street but not a plastic table with a scale and grinder on it?
-
sometimes taxis are extremely far away. im suggesting adding a app on the phones ingame where people could see active alerts for pickups on a app different from the taxi app. this would allow players going a certain way already to make a bit more money but also would carry some risk. people could mug players using the app once they pick them up. this wouldnt kill the taxi job either because some players will rather wait a few more mins for a taxi instead of risk getting robbed.

so im gonna guess you didnt read the post and jumped to conclusions then like the other guy did. it gives more power to gangs with "remove all drug ingredients from humane labs and giving them to only gangs to import" so all hardcore drugs have to go through gangs and only weed is able to be obtained by small crims. also its not all going to be public, only the coke table because of how unrealistic it is to say only gangs could find a table with a scale and grinder on it.

every suggestion you say? so how would adding muskets and a server rule saying they cant be used against players facilitate the illegal side? how would adding flares for people to use do the same? ive made 3 suggestions on here that have a mix of allowing more access to keep people playing but also give give players more realistic experiences. you and the other 2 people need to stop saying everything's a bad idea just if it affects you. i have 4 characters, 1 law, 1 gang, 1 civ and a crim. as someone who sees all sides i can argue about this better than anyone. sd is loosing people because there isnt enough action anymore and 90% of what they do now is speed traps and troll 911 calls. pd is mostly looking for gta's now with occasional small crime getting caught. gang life is going to rob people at farms, or grab plants and go home to cook, and civ life is the only thing with options. i know im not the only one experiencing this because people in the gang and pd have all said the same thing in ooc. the only thing thats even entertaining anymore is scamming people because it requires manipulation. the only people on the crim side ive seen disagree with any of these suggestions are people who are constantly scamming people. i already have enough tables, money ig, and firepower. im not arguing to make things easy, im arguing to make them more fun and less boring to keep people playing rather than leaving because something is unrealistic and borderline stupid.
-
i dont normally roll alone tbh. lately me and alot of the people i hang with just avoid labs all together and do other illegal things now aside from getting plants. its just so boring dealing with it over and over. go to lab, someone shows up, tries to rob us or we rob them. if we actually do rob them we get maybe 1 drug or occasionally a gun. its just becoming repetitive at this point. especially sense most of the time its new players who wont leave after we rob them. then if they do leave they call the cops down the road getting the place raided
-
it would be lazy if i didnt have access to these items and suggest this. i actually have both weed and coke tables on my characters. also if you read the post im not wanting all tables to be available in shops. just the worst one available to make money with. people flood the labs so much that it kills the rp feel and ruins it. i just want less people constantly sitting in the labs and to be more realistic and fun for people
-
i could see your point on this. i hadent really considered the attachments but now after considering it i totally agree. i still think atleast muskets should be allowed for hunting (as long as a rule was added where it couldnt be used as a weapon against players)and the handguns should be added

before i give the details let me put out the suggestion. 1: allow coke tables to be bought at humane labs just like the hazmat suit, (coke tables would still can only be imported by gangs) 2: remove all acid's from humane labs and only gangs could import them, 3: allow gangs to import plants while continuing to allow farms to grow. let me start off by saying i have a side in all of this, i have a lspd character, gang character, and small time crim (which ive mostly been using lately). on the gang point of view, the group i normally hang with is boring now. all we do now is go to the lab, rob randoms that hid everything before they started cooking so we get hardly anything for the trouble. then after getting enough plants we all go home to cook. for the crim side, all i ever have happen now is when trying to get plants gangs or small groups of players show up constantly, only with the purpose of robbing people resulting in constant robberies or gun battles ruining small time cooking experiences. static labs should mostly be used by lower end players who dont have much to help them get started. not as robbery targets for constant robbing or having gangs lock down the labs and keep everyone else away. now for why we should allow the changes i suggested 1: allow weed tables to be bought at humane labs just like the hazmat suit, (coke tables still can only be imported by gangs <- the ones for crack and hardcore narcotics) this should be something everyone could agree on. if not on the point of allowing easier access to reduce traffic at labs atleast to make it realistic. the weed table in real life is just a plastic table, a scale, and a grinder. you can in every state buy all of that at any walmart, home depot, lowes, and countless others. even in states like mine where weed is extremely illegal. grinders are for sale at lowes and home depot here because they are for gardening. this would cause less people to go to the labs to cook and instead to just collect plants or to rob people, reducing extremely unrealistic experiences and allow lower end players the ability to learn while still at risk of being robbed. this also would allow players who want to cook a chance to start out on the lower tier so later on they can see if buying a coke table is worth it to them. this wont cause nearly as many problems as it solves. weed is one of the least financially rewarding drugs to make which is why it wouldnt cause issues where people would get loads of money as they would need to keep getting plants and make very little money but would fix a lot of issues. 2: remove acid from humane labs and giving it to gangs to import: Where it stands currently, acid is completely available to the public at the labs allowing people to totally cut out gangs from a huge part of what is the main purpose, to generate income. this is highly suggested if the weed tables became available to people at humane labs as it would let gangs get into the supply business side of drugs and not just cooking or selling tables. this means if you want higher risk and reward you have to go through gangs to get it. while lower end markets that gangs dont care about are free to do as they will. 3: allow gangs to import plants while continuing to allow farms to grow. this final suggestion i think would be the best option. as it stands you can only get weed at static labs resulting in heavy foot traffic in normally secluded areas. we should allow gangs to import plants while allowing them to still grow on theyre own. this would tie directly into allowing the weed tables to be sold at humane labs. people could either pay gangs to import alot of plants and materials for them to make theyre own grow houses for less risk from criminals but higher risk for getting caught by cops and for use giving gangs another stream of income while allowing them to be a bit more involved with the drug trade. for anyone thats going to somehow argue against this that "oh static labs arent heavy foot traffic" or "There is no need to let gangs import" i went to several labs again yesterday and took screenshots to prove this. for 3 days ive gone to labs in my free time and not a single time did i find one open. aside from the camp where it was open but only twice and for just a few mins. (all major info was censored so no player info is given, these show just one of several instances where at some points they are much more populated. this test started around 2am est so few players were online) me, a random, 2 guys in a car and a gang all going to the labs without any previous contact https://imgur.com/a/2fZxMQe came back 10ish mins later to find a totally different group now at the labs cooking https://imgur.com/a/eTF5E6F went hunting, then mining and came back where another gang was holding it down planting and cooking https://imgur.com/a/EMQjxMo i was going to use pictures i got from all the labs but decided to only show these to not get info away about the locations as they are already crowded enough. they are in the same state as this lab.

How on Earth would it turn into a deathmatch in server? We already have basic guns for sale and shotguns are already im portable bike gangs. If rifles were added they would only be allowed to be used for hunting as a server rule. Staying it would turn it into a deathmatch in a server makes no sense at all. These items are already in the game and if anything it would actually stop some of the weapon crime since you can't get weapons as quickly anymore even if it's stolen. Shotguns are already sold to players by gangs and there isn't an issue. So why would any of that turn it into a deathmatch in server if the features are already allowed? The only thing I'm suggesting is too literally add two handguns, restrict how quickly people can get guns, add players, add a sniper rifle but can only be used against animals to prevent people from using motorcycles to chase down Rats on a Mountainside, and allow people to buy shotguns but they would only be allowed to use them for self defense on their property unless they're part of a gang or police. In What scenario with those rules could possibly turn it into a deathmatch of server?
-
I should have been more specific in the original suggestion, it wouldn't work like that. The sniper rifle and musket would only be allowed for hunting. That would be the server rule similar to Deathmatching (stolen or not they could not be used against players). The Marksman rifle would still only be importable by gangs or police just like the current system. By illegally obtained I was more meaning to illegally bringing it into existence in the first place such as importing but that would only be for heavy Weaponry outside of the sniper rifle and musket. That's why I said I would be against adding the M4 unless it was a similar rule for civilian use where it can only be used in your home or on your private property unless you were part of a gang. There are already rules regulating when people can use hand guns to defend themselves so why not apply something like that and add the sniper rifle and musket for hunting and shotguns (and maybe m4's which im against) to only be able to be used in close quarters such as Interiors or again hunting unless your part of an official gang faction or you got it from one.

So let me get this straight. Your argument is that if people have access to them they will be used illegally which would be a problem. So the solution is to totally restrict the legal sale and only allow illegal sales?
-
Now that you point that out I can see that could be a problem. What if a cool-down timer was implemented. Once a firearm was purchased it would not matter if it was stolen, lost, or destroyed in any way but you would be unable to purchase another firearm for 1 week IRL time starting at the moment you buy the gun? And then once a certain amount of firearms had been lost, even with that timer. you would eventually lose access to your firearms license as you are a higher risk. Would you agree that would be a good solution?
-
Not a license but a rule, just like fear RP or death matching. For the sniper rifle and musket they would only be allowed for hunting and would not be allowed to be used to attack a player. That would counter people using Vehicles across the hunting ground basically chasing down Rats on the side of a mountain. If you don't agree about the other things do you at least agree that something like this should be added? What could be the harm if it was an actual rule saying it could only be used for hunting?
-
How can you argue that though? You can only buy them in the first place if you get a firearms license. That means you can't have a criminal record. How many people who don't have a criminal record are going to go through the effort to buy a gun and willingly risk losing that did you touch something that you could do with a handgun?
-
Not sure that you read the post. At least in its entirety, like I said for the musket and sniper rifle it would be against server rules to use them against a player at any point in time. The only time you could use them against a player was if you got it illegally which means only gangs could get them to use against players just like the current system in place. Granted I didn't think about people using flare guns as weapons but I would strongly advice for a similar rule as with the sniper rifles to be applied to flare guns as it would be unrealistic to use them as a weapon. For the revolver though I don't see the harm. The .50 is a 3 shot kill weapon and the revolver is a two-shot weapon. The difference is the .50 is actually better. Currently the revolver does more damage but has a much slower fire rate than the .50 so the only time it would be beneficial would be if you were extremely accurate and don't miss a shot in a gun battle. It also has one less shot than the .50 so the revolver for the majority of people would be worse but I feel like a variety needs to be added. Personally I just don't see how the market could be flooded. When you have a license to buy firearms you can only get two anyway. Once you hit the limit you cannot purchase anymore unless they are stolen. So not sure how the market would be necessarily flooded but even if it was, the penalties for having the heavy weapons is much higher anyway then having a smaller weapon. This mean if somebody started reporting the guns as lost and getting more, this would only further the roleplay experience as the police will try to turn people into informants on this kind of thing. the fact of the high price, limited ability to purchase, rules to restrict when you can use them, and only people who have not committed any serious crime could buy them (unless from a gang). it would only be people who are not being implemented in a crime using these. I just don't see how it could be possible to have any negative consequences aside from an occasional shooting where someone is arrested and then loses the legal ability to buy them again

and dont forget that guy who literally built a tank at his garage and used it to smash an entire american town

actually, if you want a list of people who had no power and no gang dependencies or even connections here you go: Ted Kaczynski, Timothy McVeign, Ralph Guarino, Sarkis Soghanalian, Kenneth Barnes, Larry Phillips,Ermil Matasareanu. these were found in less than 5 minutes doing a google search. those are a few out of endless results. those last 2 names likely dont ring a bell but they are a perfect example of how 2 people with no power can take control of a entire city with no help or contact with gangs. they were the people who did the infamous hollywood shootout. On July 20, 1993, Phillips and Mătăsăreanu robbed an armored car outside a branch of FirstBank in Littleton, Colorado.[8] On October 29, they were arrested in Glendale, northeast of Los Angeles, for speeding.[9] A subsequent search of their vehicle – after Phillips surrendered with a concealed weapon – found two semi-automatic rifles, two handguns, more than 1,600 rounds of 7.62×39mm rifle ammunition, 1,200 rounds of 9×19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP handgun ammunition, radio scanners, smoke bombs, improvised explosive devices, body armor vests, and three different California license plates.[10] Initially charged with conspiracy to commit robbery,[11] both served 100 days in jail and were placed on three years of probation.[12] After their release, most of their seized property was returned to them, except for the confiscated firearms and explosives.[13] On the morning of February 28, 1997, after months of preparation, including extensive reconnoitering of their intended target – the Bank of America branch located at 6600 Laurel Canyon Boulevard – Phillips and Mătăsăreanu armed themselves with a semi automatic HK-91 and several illegally converted weapons: two Norinco Type 56 S rifles, a fully automatic Norinco Type 56 S-1, and a fully automatic Bushmaster XM15 Dissipator.[17] The robbers filled a jam jar with gasoline and placed it in the back seat with the intention of setting the car and weapons on fire to destroy evidence after the robbery. Phillips wore roughly 40 pounds (18 kg) of equipment, including a Type IIIA bulletproof vest and groin guard; a load bearing vest with multiple military canteen pouches for ammunition storage; and several pieces of homemade body armor created from spare vests, covering his shins, thighs, and forearms.[18] Mătăsăreanu wore only a Type IIIA bulletproof vest, but included a metal trauma plate to protect vital organs. Additionally, each man had a watch sewn onto the back of one glove, in order to monitor their timing.[19] Before entering, they took the barbiturate phenobarbital, prescribed to Mătăsăreanu as a sedative, to calm their nerves.[20] the kicker is in all of the robberies they bought everything legally at licensed retail stores and modified the items at home. they never had contact with gangs, smuglers or any criminals and like so many others committed such major acts they 5 or 20 years later are known by the world. not sure how we even got here over a simple discussion of allowing people ingame to simply buy legal guns at shops. lol(btw, a really good movie to watch to learn about the how much crime is done outside of gangs and crime families at least in arms dealing is "Lord of War". its fiction but the story has been said to be extremely dead on about how the global illegal arms trade actually works)
