  1. I disagree with the idea of this entire thread. PD may be overpowered because were are not losing anything on death, that's true. But on any given day we are outnumbered by at least 10 to 1. Crim RP has gotten so bad that we need to call for backup anytime we get into a situation with someone from Zeta simply because we know if another Zeta drives by, they're calling for people to come "free" the suspect. There has not been a time ever that I have been online when we have had more than 25 units deployed, and that's including SD. Gangs outnumber LEO, plain and simple. SWAT and POIII+ are the only ones allowed to use heavy weapons minus the shotgun which is useless at longer range. Crims are able to buy a heavy and use it at their own discretion knowing that it is possible to lose it. I think heavys really should only be used when absolutely necessary and should be picked up from an armory of sorts after a shootout has already begun. PD is always in danger which is pretty unrealistic to me. I've never once seen a SWAT vehicle driving around just on regular patrol because they know something is bound to go down.
  2. The only thing Vics are good for is pursuits on highways. Its handling is trash and flips if you hit a ladybug if youre going any faster than 200 km/h. Other PD vehicles have trash top speed with decent handling. The Buffalo isnt even used by most people because of how unrealistic it is compared to the other PD vehicles. I find it laughable that all crims here are saying that PD Vics are overpowered yet dont acknowledge the fact that other vehicles are unrealistic.
  3. Ok so a lot of back and forth is happening within this thread. The OP originally stated how frame rate affects vehicle speed, and I think that this is well known. While I do not believe any super car should be nerfed, I have an issue with people stating that the PD vehicles are overpowered. While I do believe that the cruiser (Crown Vic) goes faster than IRL, interceptor and Buffalo (Charger) speeds are severely unrealistic. One simple way to fix this issue is to bring back a PD division that was mentioned before. As an active member of PD, and member of TED, I can tell you all that the Traffic Enforcement Division is a wasteland of potential. If you were to limit Buffalo usage to only Traffic Enforcement and increase its speed cap to its legitimate speed (240 km/h instead of 185 km/h) and decrease the cruiser to its realistic speed (205 km/h) there would be more realism within pursuits (given there are TED units on duty). With that being said, people want to talk realism but then take drags on a mountain hike to flee from police. I think most of these pursuit issues can be resolved in game with more realism in RP. Its all a matter of perspective for everyone within this thread. Here are some IRL km/h statistics for you all to compare to server side mechanics: Porsche 911 = ~300 km/h Dodge Charger (Buffalo) = ~240 km/h Ford Interceptor (SUV for modded players) = ~210 km/h Ford Crown Victoria (Cruiser) = ~200 km/h

  8. I love when people say "hello?". Did you even read what I said? As I stated, an admin visited the scene twice. No pause, no void. I am not the starting officer so I cannot speak as to how he saw the weapons beforehand. All I can speak of is the shootout afterwards.
  9. I am one of the officers involved and I would just like to point out a couple of things. As far as your window being tinted, for us, the window was down. Evidence: https://imgur.com/gGrMLvu If the driver RPed putting the shotgun in between his legs and the pedals, its still possible to be visible RPly, (if the window was open that is.) Also, we had multiple Admins/Mods the came to the scene and did not pause or void the RP even after you reported. They told you in game not to threaten reporting and to keep it IC. Nobody asked for a restart and nobody asked for a void. You just continually went OOC saying how it was BS. Also, once you decide to evade and engage in a shootout with us, doesnt that void your MG accusation? You could have just not engaged in the RP and talked to us before running.

How did the player break the rule(s)? First off, let me say I never thought I would be someone to fill one of these out, but this guy kinda aggravated me. It started off pretty basic, Matty Fait and I observed the offender speeding and recklessly driving. So we followed him and tried to pull him over, he then began to run, as expected being he was wanted. The pursuit was pretty good and not out of the ordinary, all the way until he crashed and stalled the first time. By this point we had 4 Officers (including me) surrounding his car with tasers and weapons drawn. He immediately got out and began running. Once again, nothing really out of the ordinary. We missed out taser shots and he ended up back in his vehicle, getting it started and the pursuit was back on. Things really started to get strange after the second time he stalled, this time I was sure to have my pistol out instead of taser and others had tasers. Same thing, he got out, ran around with us missing tasers then got back into his car beginning to flee again. This is when I started recording because I knew something was up. The third time, he completely wrecks his car, flying into trees and a sign, once again getting out and running. We finally hit him with a taser and get him in cuffs (all RPed as seen in the video). While cuffed, he runs, AGAIN! We get him with the taser, again. and this time Matty RPs grabbing his arm, to which he replies that it was successful. But then, eventually begins running, AGAIN! We tase him, again, he runs, again, we tase him, he runs. The video is pretty self explanatory. I finally got tired of it and /drag him to the police cruiser. By this point we had told him he was going to be reported (as seen in the video). While transporting him to DOC, we were explaining why we were going to report, and he says that he doesnt plan on fighting it on the forums, because he "dont do that". Then after we are around the corner, he Code 0s, never to return. We waited a good amount of time after he went Code 0, just to see if he would come back. He didnt.
