  1. Im guessing you found the car at a petrol station as thats where they spawn after the server crashes, so tbh there is no rule against stealing it but theres not much point as admins will tp the car back to the original spot before the server crash 9/10 times.
  2. oh perfect, I've got some course ideas already
  3. I see where you're coming from, I agree
  4. well the problem with that is this will simply shift the speeding limit to 100kph, no? everyone will just drive at 90-100kph
  5. If you've fished recently you'll find that the beeping is only present when you catch a fish now, so it's actually quite beneficial imo
  6. if so then if you're wearing a mask in a stolen car then you shouldn't be fined?
  7. When entering a car or sitting on a bike don't automatically put on a helmet or do your seat belt up. Add a command which lets you decide. If running away from danger you'd most probably forget to do your seat belt up and that could decide the outcome of a runaway.
  8. Maybe you didn't explicitly write that but it seems like you're implying it?
  9. After a long discussion this is the system I think may work: (all times presented are IRL not in-game) <$5000 ticket fines = 1 hour in prison and fines are nulled >$5000 ticket fines = 1 hour in prison which cancels out the first $5000 and then the rest can either be: -spent in prison, where each $5000 in tickets is equal to an extra hour -paid back through money in bank -paid back through salary doing community service (all salary income goes to paying tickets) for the background discussion to this matter read
  10. Ah the thing with that is that I got a 4 day ban which im currently serving right now as I forgot to log off whilst fishing, my friend was in a car accident last week and I just left my computer on and even though I didn't mean do anything wrong I got 4 days, plus 2 days in which i was appealing just for forgetting to log off so I don't think there should be a cap on this kind of stuff
  11. Would you say that you agree with the system of 1 hour in prison for anything under $5000 and an extra hour for each subsequent $5000 of ticket fines?
  12. This is a very unpopular opinion so sorry in advance but tbh I do not mind people who have $600k in tickets leaving the server as it would seem to me that they don't care about rp as that is almost 250 max speeding tickets I don't aim to be mean with this statement about your friend
  13. What kind of amounts of speeding tickets are we talking about here, cause I'd assume that $50k is about the cut-off point for most new players where if they have anything over that then they are most likely to quit, right? So following on from that assumption, the maximum speeding ticket I've had is $2500 which therefore means that you'd have to accumulate 20 max fine speeding tickets to get to this point, most people should've learnt by then that speeding is bad? and if the accumulated speeding tickets are below $50k then they can easily be paid off by doing community work and government income, I thought the problem we were discussing is about people who don't want to pay for the speeding tickets at all?

    Dash cams

Add dash cams to the store so when they are installed in your car you are permitted to use outside recording software as a means of providing evidence to the police. I understand that this isn't a great idea as it would require sending the footage via OOC means but it could be rped as being shown via your phone?
  15. I think it should be based on the value of the ticket tho as there is a big difference between a $1000 and a $2500 ticket
  16. How about this, when you go to prison you have a choice, either pay off your tickets and spend an hour in jail or if you don't have the money then it will be 1 hour + an extra hour of every $5000 of tickets but you can also pay off some of the tickets and then cover the rest of the tickets with prison time? Just a suggestion
  17. who should I ask to organize this then, I know for a fact that people won't be interested if I try organizing it?
  18. but thats the thing, if the punishment wasn't severe then no-one would care, like I dont mind going afk for 2 hours in a prison cell if it means that i get to speed all the time cause as you said it yourself, you don't care about being wanted. But I think thats not the issue you're discussing here, im not sure?
  19. Yh but some kind of countdown system would have to be implemented, start and finish and also a current lap timer/ best lap stuff like that would be nice

    Add tazer

ah I see, this is what you mean by abusing it. I didn't think of that scenario but maybe tasers just have a too long range? If the range was reduced considerably then this wouldn't be a problem? But looking at this now it seems that it'd be more hassle than its worth, trying to implement tasers into the server

    Add tazer

But that would happen with any firearms and yet we don't have that problem with pistols as using the taser for no reason would be considered death-matching and taser abuse would surely land you a ban?
  22. Organize large, legal, street racing events where a course is marked off by the pd in the streets of Los Santos and people gather to watch the best that Los Santos has to offer to battle it out against each other. We would also need an ambulance unit on call if there are any life-threatening crashes. These events don't have to be common and could only happen every week or so. There could also be different races for bikes, sports cars, SUVs etc. I reckon this would be a good event to bring the community together as both people and competing and observing would enjoy the event. Also the competitors would have to pay an entry fee of lets say $1000 which would make up the prize pool for 3rd, 2nd and 1st.
