  1. I think the issue is that this situation is much more nuanced than you make it out to be. There will be a lot of times when we do not prison people to ensure all charges are placed, and then people say that we're holding them there to punish them. There will be other times when we prison them quickly, and then add charges later, and that is also a punishment.

You can do a job quick, or you can do it right, you can't do both.

I don't see why you're bringing GBK into this, I think it's much more relevant that you recently started cooking, and as such have a vested interest in labs staying active. I agree that some interactions are not ideal, but any interaction is better than being locked in a private virtual world.

All players I spoke to have admitted that the city feels more alive now than it did for months, because people are no longer locking themselves in virtual worlds. Look past your own assets, and what's best for the server.

Eventually with everything tuning into public ways to make money.. all your doing is making it IMPOSSIBLE for new players to make their own bread without being held up in a lab, money launder or public chop every 5 mins.

Most other criminal activities were buffed to compensate; you do not need to be earning money every 5 minutes, the goal of being on the server should be interaction, not assets.

  4. In light of recent realizations I believe it might be useful for everyone to have the disconnect message range increased drastically.

This will prevent players from disconnecting when they are about to be engaged with roleplay, such as when holding a lab, or when attacking a lab.

I don't believe there are any downsides to this, as mass disconnects should not happen during normal gameplay.

I would love to see any type of LEO try to put an excuse as a reasoning but this island has been raided more since release than any other drug lab in the past 2 week +

I will note that in this specific instance, we were on your freq as you gave out your exact location and even stated "we have 15 we'll slaughter them anyway" (about PD). If you believe that qualifies as LEOs making up reasons, you can address it as @MrSilky stated.

  6. Going to the impound lot as a police officer can generate a lot of roleplay, especially if the individual happens to be wanted/have issues preventing the vehicle from being released.

A lot of the times there's not enough cops and too much crime happening for them to respond quickly, but I don't think that removing even more interaction from the server takes us in a good direction.

If you want people to do something else then you make the other options more appealing. You dont nerf the fuck out of everyone's most efficient means of making money.

The issue with that is that it's very hard to make something more appealing than a money printer in a separate virtual world. Nothing will compete with that.

Yeah cus it takes about 5 seconds to fill a bottle, the average lab has 800-1000 bottles of water to so ur lab doesnt blow up, ill let you do the math on that one. the first half of the update was a W, second half not so much Water bottles was an L, safe was an L, and idk about the adjustment

If your lab requires 1000 bottles, that is the lab that is cut off from all interaction for hours.

You been a leader of gangs before. This is just nonsense, joke of the century. You know its more than spawning money inside properties xD.  You dont just get a lab delivered to your lap. You need connections, weeks and months and more to build up cash. Then to use your connections to be able to buy or order this. More RP than most of people running labs will ever do :).

Yes, I agree, the setup is involved, but once its setup and you have the ingredients? You're effectively cut off from everyone, for hours, just spawning money. It's not good.

I am in favor of having materials spawn at the public labs, this isn't about introducing more risk or making crim harder, it's about promoting interactions. I believe 2019 public labs were some of the best vehicles for criminal interaction, and they should come back.

You can reply to every comment that does not agree with you, but it does not change the facts. I know over 30 people that have cooked for years and had a lab explode maybe once. The risk is greatly overblown, while in the same time they made at least 10 million. We're talking about how 90k in 3 hours is not worth the risk and how it's bad vs PD, in the same amount of time, a cop makes 10k.

Private labs were terrible for the server, and it's good that they're being heavily disincentivized.

  11. I think this starts from a supposition that crims should be able to wipe PD or that it should be "balanced". That's not the case.

Your goal should never be to fight PD/SD, but to avoid them. They could have 5000 people or 5, it should be the same. We already see how people regularly shoot cops in OCE time because there's not many online, the last thing we need is to bring that to EU.

At the very least with /rlow it can all be logged and if reported can be punished.

It would require the "enemy" players to be on the opposing frequency because faction mates rarely report each other for a variety of reasons. In the end, it would generate reports, cause animosity and do all that for little benefit.

  13. Charge stacking is the act of pressing the same charge for multiple instances. i.e. if you evade 5 times you get 5 felony evasion charges. The LSPD does not do this for most crimes.

Charging correctly (as per the penal code) is what the LSPD practices. If you feel that the times are too high for certain charges, you can pursue IC roleplay to adjust the penal code.

I also do not feel that crim RP is suppressed at all, simply look at the player report section and you will see groups of 40 people running around with heavies and kevlar in the middle of the city, drive-bying and convoying. If that's suppressed crim RP, I wouldn't want to see unleashed crim RP.

These are just in the last two weeks, and only what was posted publicly. You can imagine 10x more situations happen and never end up on the forums.
