  2. No Mans Sky hype: In Eclipse PR you can throw money out of your Rolls Royce cabrio.

  3. I agree with the grid...I also agree with location messages as I suggested above...that map is just huge...
  4. Good luck learning all these streets...it would be useful if you could do find an address... so if someone says im at that and that street..you can find it on the map
  5. Apply for LSPD now. We might not accept members when the server starts.

  6. Thanks guys... PD high ranked members will have a story. PDs own story will be written soon... So yeah!
  7. Chief Gus Ketse is really just your average man who grew up in the rough streets of Liberty City. His troubled past paved the way for him to become the Chief he is today. His parents split when he was barely old enough to speak a work and his father did the best he could in raising him. But, with his father working long hours and having a habit of frequenting the bars, Chief Ketse found himself running in with the law a little too often. Lucky for him he was given special attention from Officer Williams of the Liberty City Police Department. Officer Williams saw the potential in the young criminal and took him under his wing. With his assistance, Cheif Ketse managed to make it out of high school and into the local college where he would obtain his Criminal Justice degree. During his college years, he made use of the programs and found himself studying abroad for a couple semesters. He would also find the time to travel to a couple different places, even having a love affair or two, but something about Liberty City kept bringing him back home. After obtaining his degree he was quick to join his mentor at the Liberty City Police Department. It was during his time at the police academy that he met his soon to be partner and best friend Officer Stef. The two were paired together after performing well in the academy team exercises. Their partnership transited very well into the streets and even back home. The two were nearly inseparable and always had each other’s backs. Then one day they pulled a car over for a routine traffic stop Chief Ketse noticed packages in the back of the vehicle that were obviously drug related. He signaled his partner and on an impulse, they attempted to apprehend the two males in the vehicle. The men were both armed and instantly opened fire as they drove away. Chief Ketse was shot in the arm, but Officer Stef was not so lucky. Chief Ketse called for backup but it was too late for his partner and best friend. It was a month after the incident that Chief Ketse finally returned to the force. He had a brand-new drive and vigor about him. What he couldn’t drown in alcohol or sex, he made up in apprehensions. Soon, he was at the top percent of arrests in the district. It was almost a year after the incident that he was promoted to Chief of Liberty City, and it didn’t take him long to set out his vengeance. Chief Ketse himself began to bust down doors and take in the known drug dealers. But, all too soon, he found himself striking deals to get to the next level. Whispers on the streets told him who was responsible for the death of his partner and friend. It was a cold December night when he broke down the door of an apartment. Inside were two men whom he held at gunpoint. He repeatedly asked them why they did what they did, but the boys refused to know any details of the day. They swore he had the wrong guys. One of the men reached toward his pocket and Chief Ketse fired, killing both men. When the officers arrived to assess the scene, they pulled something out of the young man’s pocket. It was a picture of the young man and a little girl. On the back it read “Talia. Age 4.” Chief Ketse went home that night and contemplated ending his career as a law enforcer. He had arrived at the level of corruption and could no longer make a clear judgement on the city. Every person that touched a bag of drugs became the person that shot Officer Stef in his eyes. He was no longer a protector of Liberty City but, someone whom the city needed protected from. He was getting ready to call in his resignation when his phone rang. It was the city of Los Santos and they were looking for a new Chief of police. It would be a fresh start with a new city and he took it.
  8. LSPD is hiring! Apply now!

  9. No but players should be able to send location messages to each other to meet easily
  10. We are talking about all players not the PD only though
  11. When the server starts everything will come their own way . I don't disagree with what you're saying...I support it... But being prepared is better I guess.
  12. No it doesn't have to do with the light rp...but we cant just start without the basics... And some people even lack common sense...so yeah
  13. Yeah but we have to start with something so they're won't be total chaos!
  14. I think location messages are something that will help all players etc. PD can use it as well. I don't think splinting into zones will help that much or filtering based on who is closer...its better all officers to get the calls just so they know how busy it is. and furthermore if there is something important like officer got shot etc...all can respond.
  15. @Jason Knight you found out we have forums as well? Lol! Welcome!
  16. @swishy86 We will get along just fine me and you! Just by reading your Greeting post!
  17. Or that...even though that would make the whole PD to respond..since there is no dispatch to control.
  18. Yeah that sounds good as well! But I do think location messages will help a lot.
  19. I am not familiar with the scripting part of GTA V or GTA N at all. But I think it will help the community a lot. Learning the map by heart is simply near to impossible except if Life is a 404 not found!
  20. Hey all. We never mentioned how the time should pass compared to real time. I would suggest that a day in game should be 3 or 6 hours real time. More than 6 would create problems with people playing in different time zones. For example I live in UTC +2 so if the server was 1:1 with LA time I would play mostly night time and morning time In Game. 1:4 ratio is better in my opinion (6 hours for 24 in game). Address Names on the UI: Pretty explanatory. Just have the name of the street your character is always visible at all times. This will help to learn the street names without even noticing. Also the time, cash, money in bank. If possible on the map when you hover over with the mouse to have it display the street name as well. Location Messages: Okay lets be honest LS is huge in GTA V. Those of you who have played SA you might recall some of the street names of LS but in GTA V the map is huge therefore a lot of street names as well. To solve this I suggest that we integrate something like location messages. For example we could have a command like /sendloc (ID). the receiver of the message would see on his screen : GasKetse(id) send you his location. Do /accept to pinpoint. So when you do /accept it should put a marker on the receivers map and GPS should lead him there. With that way we could also integrate emergency services. Every 911 call gets an id so the officer on duty can just track the sms. So in each 911 call the officers should get Call (ID) Reason and they can do /takecall ID to get the waypoint on their maps. Other officers could be notified that officer Gas took the call (ID) so not all units reply to the same call. Whitelist: Although I have discussed this with the dev team I will put it down here. We all know how many un mature players exists all around us. I think they should not have a place in this server so we can keep the quality of the roleplay in acceptable standards. To ensure that one measure is application process before they join the server. This can be just a simple multiple choice test with 5-10 questions just to make sure they read the rules. Which is the least they can do before they join. I am not looking forward to see 13 year olds explaining to me what they did with my mother last night. I think these are some of my ideas at the moment Ill get back with more I think it will take a lot of scripting to do the following but it will help the whole community.
  21. second and it looks slick and awesome!
  22. Yes I totally agree with the above mentioned. We indeed discussed it last night in detail. I think its a good start even though I support only one PD station at least for the beginning. I like the repair suggestion because it will force officers drive carefully and with a sense of danger which will show in RP. Indeed I will start working on "basic" SOP's and that's because we want it light RP. I am waiting for @harmdone or any forum developer/admin to create the LSPD rooms so we can start. There will be a police academy for sure due to the fact we are trying to mature and serious players in LSPD. Handing a gun and power to anyone will lead to stupidness and unhappy players (abused). @Jason Knight You are more than welcome to help. Not sure if you want to be in LSPD or not but your help is appreciated in anyway. Thank you for the suggestions.
