  1. 100 players running around, running traffic lights just doing jobs...sounds fun.... I don't know right now I've got a bad taste in my mouth with GTA Network and well...since this is the only server I play on - ECRP. I've been RDM'ed three times, I have interacted with maybe 5 people tops in my hours of playing. It's very boring, very grindy and well...nothing like I had hoped. It would be more fun if there was AI and cars and people and shit to do with other people. I'm not saying it won't get there, nor am I saying I dislike anything the devs have done, they've done a aboslutely fantastic job building thus far and should be very proud of what they've done. To me...since I come from FiveM...it's just not what I'm used to.
  2. With FiveM they don't take up much of any resources... a FiveM server runs on barely 1 core lol To me, when you go to a city - its busy, there's cars, theirs people walking, talking - just because you can't natively interact with them, there's Lua scriptwriters who have made it so you can interact w/ them on FiveM between selling them food / weed and shit like that.
  3. They're limited to 24 servers but are an actual living breathing world with NPC's and shit... makes it way more interesting then a empty server with 12 people in it all the time.
  4. For what it's worth, FiveM is alive and well.
  5. This was discussed in the Discord, it was requested that the player be given the option to pay to make it more realistic. Having to roleplay the payment is more immersive then it just being extracted automatically. The only other option I could see making this current version work is by the driver RP'ing requesting a debit card of some sort to put into the meter for automatic payment, at that time they could determine if they wanted to pay or not. Also doing it this way and forcing the player to tip often will eliminate the ability for a occupant to tip the driver, depending on the level of RP experience I get with the driver I may or may not tip.
  6. All players don't need to know the location of CAD alerts... That makes no sense :-/
  7. An officer down/shots fired call can be handled via the radio as well as a /panic command to where when the officer does /panic it alerts all officers of their general location. Dependent on the department SOP's will determine the response plan...
  8. Sure, you could simply code into the MDT/Dispatch you just put yourself enroute OR depending on if possible within the coding, it will send it to the closest units and they will respond. Almost like a automated dispatch, then the unit can mark themselves enroute. So for instance, say there is a crash at Senora Freeway @ Union Rd. You've got two units in Paleto Bay & a bunch in the City... The CAD alert would send the information to the two parties up in Paleto, wait a minute or so for a enroute response, if no response it gets sent to the next closest units? Again, I'm not sure if this is possible within the coding.
  9. I mean, we could do them as "CAD Alerts." for police/fire/ems. Say someone gets killed, it would put a CAD Alert across the police/fire/ems CAD system alerting them of an incident.
  10. What about using a client side or even server side if possible map mod? I know of one I use in FiveReborn which displays the street names over the map when you press Esc.
  11. Yes I think the repair idea even if at the inception of the server is simply nothing more then say $5.00 or something to repair the vehicle, it will help out. In regards to help, I have no problems passing around ideas at this point however I do not want to commit 100% and give my all to a community unless I know I'll be sticking around. I hope everyone understands, this is just meant for no disrespect. There truly needs to be two police stations to start. I think the one in Paleto and the one in Mission Row would be the two starting, then if needed add the sub division in Sandy Shores.
  12. Police Repairs The use of a centralized repair facility should be considered and repairs should be billed to the department budget with a log kept of which officer is requesting the repair. This is great so the Chief can look back and say "well Officer A repaired his vehicle 38 times in a one week period...lets determine why" and go from there. If repairs are needed during a role play situation, for instance a pursuit and lets say one officer ends up crashing, vehicle ends up getting a flat or a bashed in front end...dependent on the SOP's in place, the officer will need to terminate.
  13. Good day, After the discussion on the Discord I figured I would drop my suggestions here to keep things organized. While I am under the complete understanding this is a light-rp server there still needs to be laws and criminal offenses that are enforced. If not what will happen is a state of lawlessness which will mean no one will want to roleplay as a cop because they can't enforce any traffic laws or criminal fines. The fines that I listed here are again, officer discretion. Budgets There was a discussion regarding utilizing a Police Budget from the taxing system and I 100% believe it should be, if we're making this a "realistic" even light-rp server if we have a taxing economy system, we should have a budget. This will keep things realistic on the police side, you won't see people able to spawn 70 different police cars because they slightly damaged one. The vehicles will need to be driving or towed to a repair shop in order to be repaired. That will mean that cops who don't clear intersections and crash into things will be penalized by having to take money from the department budget to repair their cruiser. Police Headquarters While I agree if I own a piece of property then I should spawn there, get my car from my garage and drive to my place of employment, that being said. There should be multiple police headquarters located through out the map, for instance the one in Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay and Mission Row in Los Santos. At these police stations there should be a spot to spawn a police vehicle, it should be limited by rank and role as well as current police staffing/vehicles purchased. For instance, if the department Chief has purchased 15 CVPI's then there can be a total of 15 officers able to be opearting the CVPIs for that particular time, if an officer goes off for the time being another officer would be able to utilize that available vehicle. In regards to the Chief purchasing those vehicle, they're sold at a surplus price therefore much more affordable. Police Operating Procedures I understand that GasKetse and harmdone are working on these, they need to be fairly detailed. Although you want this to be a light-rp fun server there still needs to be enough policies and procedures in place to dictate the officers abilities to do his job, therefore if there is a traffic stop - there needs to be a SOP for it. Detention SOP, Pursuit SOP, Arrest SOP (can be built into Detention) so on and so forth. In addition, this can be also helpful to those operating in the Internal Affairs role handling citizen complaints against officers because they can look at the situation and ensure that all written directives were followed and if they were not they will have the ability reprimand the officer for his failure to follow said directives.
