a mass unban would be so healthy for the server. kids get banned for 2 dms and never return despite being good RPers/good for the community.

the report meta is too toxic and there is already mega-threads about the reporting and how punishments are way way way too harsh.

I think that some tweaks should be made but the bifta and most bikes should stay were they are.

Can I ask why you think this should be the case? It just makes the bifta and those bikes unusable if you plan to use them as an everyday driver, not to mention, IRL the reason bikes have such small gas tanks is because they are amazing on gas mileage. For example, the ducati 848 (bati 801) gets 53mpg, which is better then every gasoline car/truck/sedan on the market.

If it's just to nerf the bikes for pursuit purposes don't you think there could be a better solution then making them have to fuel up every 30 seconds?

I agree that vehicles should have different sized gas tanks, but the fuel consumption shouldn't be so disproportionate. Why does the police scout (based off of the ford explorer) have 5x the gas tank size of a bifta and have better gas consumption? I can drive the scout for hours getting in multiple pursuits before I need to refresh the gas tank on it, while my bifta I can drive to the store and then need to walk home because it's out of gas. It needs to be tweaked in my humble opinion. It's not fun, and more importantly it's not realistic.

  3. Hey, the implementation of the new gas usage system is pretty good but could use a little bit of tweaking for some vehicles. I've heard this complaint for other vehicles, so I encourage others to post if you feel like your vehicle could use some tweaking.

I'll use an example of a vehicle that I personally use, the Bifta. The fuel consumption for the Bifta is ridiculous. You can drive at a cruise speed of 140 for about 7 minutes before you run out of fuel. Every 4ish seconds you lose 1% of fuel. This makes driving around the city and especially driving from paleto to the city feel terrible. Not only does it feel bad in game, it is also highly unrealistic. I shouldn't have to fuel up 7 times in 1 hour of driving in game. I know that the gas tank values were changed, but for the bifta this is also unrealistic. The gas tank IRL of the Meyers Manx (which the bifta is modeled off of) has a 15 gallon tank (56 liters) with 15mpg gas consumption rate. In game, it takes 20L of fuel, which is why its running out of gas so quickly. The Bifta feels unusable in its current state, unless you plan on stopping to fuel every couple of minutes and don't plan on using it for long.

In short, my suggestion is to adjust the fuel tank/gas ratio of certain vehicles because it needs to be adjusted dramatically in some cases, such as the bifta because in it's current state it feels terrible to use.

Below is a video of me driving from High End to the toll road and back, a trip that took 5ish minutes that costed me 2/3rds of my tank.

This is pretty much all that needs to be changed, no HUGE development required here.

The problem is that right now that's not a good viable solution, often times in situations where TAC or JOINT-TAC is required, another ongoing situation will require TAC. If we go with your purposed solution then everyone that is in the TAC/JOINT-TAC will be unaware of the other ongoing situations.

If there isn't significant metagaming (and there are 1000s of hours of streamed content that prove the fact that metagaming isn't an issue) then what is the purpose of changing the system.

  5. Just now, Jing said:

What me to take away and delete the metagaming claim as its controversial and people are focusing on this. I will dash it for comfort.

The whole crux of your argument as to why PD/SD shouldn't use TS in your POV is because of the metagaming. If you remove that point, then why would PD/SD stop using TS?

In all reality, I -1 this topic, there isn't rampant metagaming going on in TS, and it is 1000x better then using game comms to try and coordinate with PD/SD/DOC/MD as there isn't a great script for it. For pursuits, TS is vital... there is no substitute at the moment. We can't be on multiple frequencies, and thus we can't flood all of the PD radio with pursuit callouts.

  6. +1, i'm a PO2 as well in game. In general i feel like all jail/prison times should be reduced (or make prison RP fun) because as it is now, a person will flee, get caught, and then not be able to play the rest of the night (60 mins for felony evasion + extra charges once caught, such as felony public endangerment, any weapons they may have, etc. etc.). It's pretty brutal if you want to be a criminal. I understand that they're not forced to do that RP and they must accept some consequence for RPing a criminal, but should the consequence really be AFKing for 4 hours in a prison? 100% agree to nerfing felony evasion sentence to like 45 minutes or something.

  7.

"oh I saw this guy in the same car and same clothes, boom let me charge him with 30k worth of shit he did on a hunch that it's him"?

That's such a dishonest way of looking at it. The cop has dealt with this player literally dozens of times, arrested him numerous times, and generally had many interactions with this player. The player in question is a high high high ranking member of the gang, easily identifiable by accent, outfit, and his mannerisms.. He was in his plain clothes and his voice was heard. A mask shouldn't be an automatic get out of jail free card.

Regardless of all of that, I agree with you that there are good cops and bad cops. I also agree that more RP can and should be done in this regard (specifically about the DNA & or finger prints) but even you said "looking for footage," what good would footage do, if he's just wearing a mask and now he's completely unidentifiable?

I just don't believe that this should be an OOC rule break. This is an IC issue on all levels. I respect and see your POV on the topic though.

  8. Hey,

The F5 menu is missing dozens of useful commands that new and old players may not even know exist, and is in desperate need of a proper update to include all of the commands that exist on the server and a brief description on what those commands do.
This may save staff time by not having to /report 1 every single time you need to know a command. This will help new players better understand game mechanics/scripts that more experienced players know.
I've compiled a small list below but there guaranteed is some stuff missing, and some stuff i may not even know existing. I'll try to break it up by category:

    VEHICLES:

E as an action to open doors/trunks/hoods
F to get in driver's seat
G to get in as a passenger (sounds silly, but tons of new players don't know how to enter the passenger seat the first few days on the server)
/showveh (include in the description that there is a cooldown associated with this command)
    /refuel
    /stoprefuel
/givekey (add the TRUE/FALSE section into the description), if you don't know add that then this command isn't usable. EX: /givekey (ID) TRUE (for permanent) | /givekey (ID) false (for temporary)
    /window 0, 1, 2, 3 (and if possible detail 0 is driver's side, 1 is passenger's side, etc. etc.)
    /transfervehicle
    /vehiclestats
    /enterrv
    /exitrv

    /leavetrunk
/neons (it currently is in the F5 menu as /neon, which doesn't exist.)
all of the car speaker commands such as /carurl

    QUALITY OF LIFE:

    /splitground
    /logout
    /vr 1, 2, 3
    /vol
    All of the speaker commands
    All of the pet commands
    /amembers
include binding different radio frequencies with shift commands.
please make /ldo into /Ldo at least on the notification. often times players will think that /Ldo is /ido and can't respond to the RP because of this, unless they are PM'd.

    HOUSING:

There are virtually no housing commands on the list in regards to building. Every single time I have to give somebody permissions to build on my property i have to contact staff to find out what the command is. I really don't know any of the house commands except for the one's i listed below, but I know there are a bunch that I'm missing:

E as an action to lock/unlock external or internal doors (furniture doors, like gates or jail doors, etc.)
    /addpropertypermission
    /accessdoortype
/showhouses (include in the description of this command there is a fee for using the command that automatically deducts money out of your account. also, why is there a fee for using this command??)
any new apartment commands that may exist

    ANIMATIONS:

please put all of the animations in one section of their own, instead of having to type /anim and then a whole textbox fills up your screen that is kind of a nuisance if RP is ongoing around. take a look here at how big the textbox is:

    https://gyazo.com/c5c5f3995355dfb3102c4e7c3a20e01a

it takes up nearly all of your chat box and you often have to scroll up to find the command you want if there are people around you that are typing. I'm not saying to remove the /anim command, but to make it also in the F5 menu.

    REMOVE RETIRED/UNUSABLE SCRIPTS:

Remove O from all sections to pick up/interact with objects on the ground or open vehicle doors, etc. etc.
/vv or /voicevolume (has been changed to /vol)
    /dnn (rip)
    /vnn
/neon (change to /neons, as that is the real command)
    /stashspot
    Y to enter your house
    K to unlock your house

As I said above, there are probably a ton more that I'm missing, these are just some I thought of off the top of my head. I wouldn't say that this is a high priority change, but is definitely a necessary one for future updates.

    Thanks.

Doesn't change the fact you can RP a racist in 2020, its a step in the right direction but merely a baby step. Still shows that its not on their radar as much as I believe it should be. Obviously my opinion isn't the only one, but RPing a racist just really doesn't have a place in a roleplay server, as much as some may find it funny or edgy, it's just not it fam. Make it clear in the rules or you're neglecting the bigger issue, which like I said, says a lot.

do you think that if you're a character is black you should be allowed to say the N word? or do you think just RPing as a racist person shouldn't be allowed in general?

Staff doesn't care about racism even though it highly discourages black players to play. I've seen complaints about it on here before and nothing gets done about hate speech/excessive racism. Says a lot if you ask me.

that's absolutely not true, i've seen on more then one occasion players receiving temporary and permanent bans for mic spamming the n word, or making fun of someone because they were black IRL. the bigger problem on the server is sexism, not one of race, imo and that should be the first issue that should be tackled as far as progressing the server to be less hateful/toxic to certain groups.

  10. @bunko i wasn't being literal. you could probably conceal a bazooka in your pants if you have oversized/baggy clothes and/or you're standing still lol. i said it would be really tough too conceal a deagle in your waistband IRL, which is true. he does conceal it pretty well, but when he's not standing completely still you can definitely see that he's printing. Anybody that has a CCW or is firearms trained would be able to spot the imprint if they were looking for it. google "printing conceal carry" for more examples and you can see what i mean.

As shown in the video above, it all depends on what you're wearing.

But even if we RPly hid it, if they see it, they see it.

I agree that if you're wearing oversized/baggy clothing that covers the pistol completely, then it shouldn't be RP'd. But if the pistol is visible at all, IMO we should be able to RP it. NBDY intentionally scripted it to be visible so that players could RP it. This not only benefits police, it also benefits criminals. I would argue that a large %age of robberies take place specifically because a criminal sees a person with a .50 on their back so they engage in the robbery to try to take the .50.

Again, you may use a smaller pistol whenever you're in public, especially if you're in a public area where PD may be patrolling. The smaller pistols are scriptly not shown (intentionally). Or better yet, if you want to keep using the .50 since it is the best IMO, just leave it in your vehicle when you're out and about.

Totally willing to go back and forth with you guys on this topic, and even willing to change my mind on it if given a more convincing argument. Full disclosure, one of my characters is a cop, so i'm probably a little biased on the side of the .50 being able to be RP'd.

  11. NBDY intentionally scripted the .50 to show on your back. if you're carrying a 50. caliber pistol IRL you will see a bulge in someone's clothes, it's borderline non-rp to be able to conceal a pistol so bulky/large. try to find me an example of someone tucking their desert eagle in their waistband and it not being visible from the outside (via a bulge, or physically able to be seen). it's really tough to conceal it... the pistol is 11" long IRL & an awkward shaped hunk of steel.

if you don't want your pistol to be seen, you can use a pistol, a combat pistol or an SNS pistol, as they are small/concealable IRL. NBDY has purposefully scripted it so that the smaller pistols don't appear on your back (because they can realistically be concealed).

I understand most people prefer the .50 because it's the most OP pistol in the game, but if you truly wanted your pistol not to be seen you'd use a smaller pistol.
