Date of interaction reported: 12/JUN/2026.
Unix time stamp from HUD: didn't record it for some reason my footage was shrunk when saved
Your character name: Bongo Haze
Other player(s) involved: NA
Specific rule(s) broken: DEATHMATCHING
Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper in-character (IC) motive and/or prior escalation. Ideally, there should be sufficient prior interaction to justify an attack. Hostile behaviour, threats, verbal abuse, harassment, insults, physical aggression, ignoring demands, calling for backup/reinforcements, protecting your own life (and property), or that of your allies could all be considered sufficient reasons for physical retaliation. Keep in mind, however, that it is expected from players to also take a measured response to any such escalation. For example, realistically, a person would not normally just shoot someone else for a mere insult or minor damage to their property, but instead, they could start a brawl which, in turn, could eventually lead to firearms being drawn into the action. On the other hand, if you need to protect your life or to escape severe in-character repercussions, such as severe criminal charges or arrest, then the use of a firearm may be justified; however, each player needs to use their best judgement and consider what kind of retaliation (if any) they would take in the real world while not forgetting the real-life repercussions of their choices.
How did the player break the rule(s)? (300 words maximum)
Prior to this interaction Rooks had a shootout with police, in the middle of it an OTF member had drove through and gotten shot by us so we finished him off to avoid any retaliation. We killed him and finished the situation with the police and had all left. I then put all my stuff away and threw all my clothes on the floor somewhere, then got dropped off at bennys to clock in and work. As soon as I clocked in and went outside i was gunned down by the reported party with 0 interaction and honestly 0 information on if i was the one who shot and killed his gang member. His explanation in PMs was "someone over radio said rooks chased and shot my friend, I saw you clocking in, and i know you're rooks so" which i'm sure no one needs me to explain why that's not enough reason to just shoot someone with 0 interaction. That is pretty much it.
