Brayy Posted December 21, 2021 Report Posted December 21, 2021 Within all the time I've been in the server, there's always the dreaded feeling of when your car is towed away by mechanics, or placed in the impound. Its became a joke around the server that when your car is in impound, you aren't getting it out, I think keeping the Roleplay Side of releasing impounds we could have a NPC there also. The NPC would work as following, Just like the other NPC's around the map you would have a popup of what vehicles are in the impound, how much it will cost to get out. Allowing you to directly release it. You might be wondering? Wont this just take away the roleplay from getting you car out if the impound? No, there would be a cooldown type system on the NPC. You would talk with him first and inform him you are requesting a vehicle out. This would auto buzz PD, or SD to come to the impound. After 5 minutes of waiting with no response, the NPC will allow you to directly take the car out. Wont this just allow Crims to abuse and take out there car with warrants or being wanted? No, with a simple script we could incorporate a system that when you ask the NPC to take a car out, it will auto check you record and inform you if your wanted or have open tickets. If so, it wouldnt let you take out the vehicle, If you are clean, it would allow you after the timer. What will the HUD include? - List of all personal vehicles in impound - Info provided stating if its secure, or regular - A ring PD button, alerting PD and starting timer - A release button appearing after the time has passed - Same idea as merchants, or other HUDS within the server Sorry if this idea isn't the best, had a little idea thought I would address it. 1
Mooks Posted January 3, 2022 Report Posted January 3, 2022 +1 but maybe increase the time at which you have to wait for your car to be auto-released as 5 minutes is a very short time, maybe something like 15 minutes which would still be fairly short but not so much that the PD may aswell just not go there because it would take more time to get there and do all the RP to release a car instead of it just being released automatically.
