Although it initially works as intended, the spiked vehicle's tires reinflates quickly and proceeds as if nothing had happened. Police Stingers are essential to PD/SD for pursuits to avoid them having to resort to other controversial tactics to end a pursuit. This is especially an issue with vehicles that handle well for the few seconds it is spiked. Expected behavior: When a car drives over a police stinger, their tires should remain spiked and not reinflate themselves shortly after. Osborn Posted November 28, 2021 Author Report Posted November 28, 2021 Shooting tires acts differently it appears, as the tires do not reinflate after being shot by a gun.
