Phone usage in prison/jail

Recommended Posts

Date and time (provide timezone): 20/SEP/2020 7:00 pm, UTC.

Character name: Jo Campbell.

Issue/bug you are reporting: Whenever a person gets processed to prison or jail, they can use their phone inside without it being restricted.

Expected behavior: Whenever the person gets processed, they should not have access to their phone, it should be locked from any usage.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Previous phone couldn't be used in prison or jail whenever a person gets processed (when their time starts). Now, with the new phone being implemented, people can still use their phones in prison or jail cells without it being restricted. Of course, if the role-play to remove the phone is done, using it would be a rule-break, yet, it's not restricted server-sided as it was before.

  • Go to prison or jail.
  • Get processed.
  • Use your phone like you're wild and free.

We don't know whether that's intended feature or due to a phone system being completely revorked and being removed. If that becomes a suggestions, it will be moved onto the suggestion forums to disallow that.

Hello Dawpi as a former DOC guard we knew this was a part of the coding at this time. That's the reason that when I was in DOC we RP removing the phone's from them because if they did use their phone it would be considered non-rp... Once we take their phone we tell them to /phone so, if their phone was off they can't turn it back on due to the script.

Dosent matter. This bug needs to be fixed. Inmates call 911 for medics and police DAILY, and it’s a waste of time and resources for them to do so.
