Shurples Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Issue Being Reported: Memory Leak. Date and Time of Issue (provide timezone): All of the time. Your characters name: Elizabeth Axton. Other player(s) involved: N/A (It's a common problem online). Evidence and/or notes worth mentioning: Sorry if this is the wrong place, it's not very clear whether this is general tech support or not. I am having an issue with a what seems to be memory leak. After playing for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, my fps drops to a tiny amount and the game goes all laggy. If anyone has any ideas with this I would seriously appreciate it. I have so far tried: Turning off Shadowplay Uninstalling Geforce Experience (and therefore Shadowplay) Verifying the gta 5 steam game cache Reinstalling gta 5 Limiting minimum and maximum processing power to 99% (a video on YT suggested this) I have not yet tried playing singleplayer, partly because I just don't find it fun - but I have found no threads specifically mentioning RageMP and loads that say its a problem with gta v - so I can only assume its the game and not the mod. Here are my PC specs - to clarify my computer runs GTA V, as well as other games perfectly fine, and I do not believe that this is an issue with my hardware, especially considering that so many other players have this issue online. Motherboard: Z170 PRO GAMING CPU: Intel I7-6700K @ 4.00GHz 4 Core Memory / RAM: Kingson 2 x 8GB (16GB) 2133MHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Kai Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 (edited) Try changing from DirectX 11 to 10, if this fixes the memory leak issue but you experience crashes change to 10.1 as this was implemented to fix crashing issues. Check that DirectX 10 fixes it first though before testing 10.1. Edited April 27, 2019 by Kai 1
DimitriS Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Hello, @Shadow, sometimes RAGE just needs a bit more RAM in order to load up and run all the scripts. I personally had this issue myself and it got fixed by simply reinstalling my Windows. I cannot exactly confirm why but it must be an issue with RageMP taking up a lot of RAM. Here are some simple things you can do to possibly prevent this. 1. Don't run applications which drain a lot of your memory. 2. Try lowering your graphics settings in GTA V. 3. You can try reinstalling RageMP and putting it on a data partition (not system) 4. You can try running the game in windowed/borderless 5. Last but not least, you can try and reinstall your Windows (that, as I said above, fixed it for me) It's pretty much all memory. And even though your PC is able to run other games, including GTA:O, RageMP kinda has those issues. I hope that I've been helpful, contact me back if nothing from that works. Best Regards, DimitriS
Shurples Posted May 22, 2019 Author Report Posted May 22, 2019 Doing a factory reset fixed my problem.
