Metagaming is the act of relaying In-Character (IC) information through any method not considered IC which has the potential to change the current or future roleplay scenarios, or for the potential for the information to be used.

Disconnecting/Crashing from Active Roleplay Scenarios - Combat Logging

When a game crash or disconnect occurs, players must make an effort to contact the involved players or staff. Most commonly, this is done on Eclipse RP’s official Discord server, in the #crash-reports channel. If players do not have access to Discord, they should try to contact staff through the forums, or contact the players involved if they know them. Players who crash during a police situation, such as a chase, will be charged and placed in prison by admin staff.

When a player returns from a game crash or disconnect, all players involved must be given the same opportunities they had prior.

Players should not instigate situations they do not have time to play through. If a player is being chased, they must wait 15 minutes before logging out of the game. This does not apply if the player being chased is aware of the location of the chaser; therefore, it may be in the player’s best interest to submit an in-game report to receive staff confirmation on whether they can log out.

 

How did the player break the rule(s)?  (300 words maximum)

I was with a suspect and was transporting them to DOC, while on my way ID 2 disconnected from the server next to the casino on the highway, it appeared as a "logged off from server" on the chat. During waiting I made a report after 2 minutes and posted in c0 channel on discord as they did not post themselves. During this time I also had a bike come past me heading north, that upon review when writing a PD report of the situation I realised it was the same ID from a Kamacho I saw from earlier regarding ATM calls which returned to the scene of the suspect as he was being chased/arrested. Upon the person returning they said in OOC that is was down to their wifi, and we continued.

When I then arrived at DOC shots were fired in my directions which I assume in an attempt to cause me to crash and save their friend. When I was looking back at my footage, it looked like the same person again who was on the bike and the Kamacho but was hard to see the shooter fully.

This could be all wrong and could have been a coincidence and the original player did not know and they didn't log out. But I feel I have reason to suspect due to the message on screen saying he logged out, and that the same ID from the original Kamacho was seen coming past while waiting for their return and potentially being the same person from DOC, there was a combat log to give time for this to happen, and potentially some OOC conversations happening to also orchestrate this.

I do want to point out I did not reach out to these people in game to save any POV as by the time I realised it was likely they was not online anymore, I did try to PM Tommy but he was not online at the time of writing this report. I have multiple different POV from the situation so if it is needed I can provide POV of a whole. It will contain staff chat so let me know if you would like me to send it over. Or if there is anything else I can provide I will be more than happy to. I appreciate the time if someone is able to look into this.

Sean Suzuki here, 

So he was arrested and I saw him get arrested, so with it being late and me not thinking many cops were on, I figured I may be able to save him. I drove to Doc, and waited, when he showed up, I attempted to ambush to get my friend out of going to jail, I failed. I was not asked to save pov, or I would've. I was curious what was taking so damn long though.

as for the guy in the car, This is his first week back in the server since like 2022, he is a friend outside of server, So I will let him know to answer this, and will instruct him to post in crash reports as well.

 

My timeline of events- I see him crash his car and run, I run around and grab his Komacho so its not impounded, He goes quiet on the radio and as im leaving, I see him being put in a cuffs. I store his komacho and grab my bike with a weapon in it, I drive straight to DOC and wait in bushes, you show up at the gates, I ambush. I do remember driving by a terminus on the way to doc but I figured it was a cop doing mdc stuff or paperwork. (Atleast thats why I stop on the side of the road when on SD duty).

 

the reason I was even in the area of the arrest and crash of his car at Vespucci canals was because I attempted to pull an atm from the clothing store right there, But it bugged completely out, And Anthony Mercer saw my pov of that happening because I needed him to unglitch my car.  

No hard feelings for reporting this clint, It looks weird, But it was in fact a coincidence.

I don't have my POV because I was never asked to save it. 

I was having computer issues, it froze so i hard restarted it, my wifi was taking a minute to connect . I also had no idea about the crash reports
