Bella Cruz
character Story Pt.1

Origin: Iztapalapa Barrio, Mexico City

The Barrio
Isabella Cruz rolled over, slamming her outreached palm against the top of her alarm clock letting out a groan. 1:00pm. This was her normal, getting out of bed before mid-day would be a miracle for Bella. Her laziness was only accepted by her friends and more importantly her family, due to her effectiveness when she got to work. She hit the streets with her iconic beanie and her shirt showing off her torso piece. She smiled at her twin sister, who was leaving that day to head for Los Santos. Something the sisters had talked about for a while, to follow their family, namely Frankie. Bella did her rounds of The Barrio, she wasn’t armed but she knew how to fight if it was needed, today that would be tested. It wasn’t long before 3 MS-13 members caught her eye, dealing drugs in her home. She shook her head and called out to them, words to the effect of ‘go away’ but put not-so-politely. Instantly they drew weapons, and one of them drew a gun, not a fight she could win. To save face, she retained her posture, but was quickly humbled by a slash from the large knife, a cut that bore deep into the skin on her upper-arm. Surprisingly the group didn’t kill her there and then, but let her make her way home, clutching her wound. She arrived to an empty house. Alone and injured, it made her think long and hard.

Sisters Reunite
About a month after her sister left to start her life in Los Santos, Bella weighed her options, and as much as she was loyal to her home in Mexico it was a forever losing battle, she had seen friends and family perish and it was getting harder to argue to stay. She took the decision to travel to Los Santos. It didn’t take long after arriving for her to continue her craft, stealing cars, selling parts and making money. She made her way to the renown Mexican area of the city, Fudge St. Around 10 minutes after she arrived, her sister and cousin came barreling through in their Draugur blasting music from back home, which put a confident smile on Bella’s face. Her sister threw her a can of paint, and they tagged up the whole block, with the name ‘La Guardia’.  The plan was that this would be her new home. A place where the ideals and beliefs of the family could absolutely be upheld. With a strong loyalty and stronger faith Bella hopes to succeed in Los Santos, and she’s ready for the challenge. Or so she thought.

Bella Cruz

Character Story Pt.2

Age: Twenty Three, 29th June

Solo Living

After spending a few days working, it was disheartening for Bella to keep waking up alone. Her family who promised to be there for her... weren’t. Her drive kept her moving though, even working on her own Bella earned money, earned renown and most importantly earned respect. Not just from her family but also organizations around Los Santos, of which she could do business with. Getting herself better set up with equipment and tools, including guns, car chopping tools and whatever else took her fancy.

Connecting

As much as Bella wanted to set her family up for success by creating a stockpile of cash and weapons, it was important that she made some connections for herself. Everyone knows in the criminal world, ‘who you know’ is probably the most important thing. Bella made deals with Waterfelons, OTF, ESM and anyone else who’d listen to this Latina.

Teaming Up

Time continued on and Bella Cruz was finally done being on her own. Her family was clearly not invested the same as she was in this adventure in Los Santos. It wasn’t on bad terms that the family wasn’t coming around, but their priorities were not aligned with Bella’s. They stayed in contact, but it was time for Bella to move on. After looking around for a group to join, she couldn’t find one that really appealed to her, and the way she worked. Her vast criminal knowledge dated back to Mexico, and her run in with Cartels and other criminal gangs. The choice was plentiful, but a hard to make. Until one day she got a text from Gator, the leader of The Souls, asking Bella if she could talk about business. Bella agreed and went to meet with Gator and some of his members at the pier. They spoke for a while, and after some convincing points from Gator, Bella agreed to see how The Souls operated, and instantly got to work, helping collect the organization with their first ever shipment from the black market. Being a key member early on, Bella found a group she meshed with well, and enjoyed her time with this group of misfits.
