Bags over players heads

It's a basic suggestion that could be a cool implementation for RP.

Create a bag that can be placed over other players head which blinds them completely. This would allow for people to kidnap or transport others to unknown locations without them knowing the route or what building they entered.

I know this can be roleplayed but it would be a nice and more immersive if you could actually blind a player with this and take their GPS. Then they would be completely unaware of where they are, even oocly.

This had come up in discussion in the past, the main issue is player IDs would still need to be visible, or else this could be abused by people to break rules with no way to be identified.

you know when the effect of a drug is kind of a filter? what if they put in a code that whenever you have that bag on your head they made the ''effect code'' display black or brightness 0% maybe? I believe then ID`s still would be visible, right? because with the filter of taking any drugs you still see the IDs. Just spit ballin here

this has been suggested before to my knowledge and I still dont think its feasible. Its a cool concept but as yaboy Demon puts it, Players IDs and actions must be visible to all other players interacting with them at all times at least on an OOC level to ensure rulebreaks dont occur.

You can still roleplay blindfolding someone, nothings stopping you doing that. Yes you are required to take a leap of faith that they wont meta but no greater a leap than people not metagaming by communicating in discord when they are kidnapped. its the same thing.

you can still see the IDs when you have the drug effect.

Its not, for the reasons i provided. if you know otherwise. please expand.

when people press O to smoke marijuana, and press use to use any drug, there is a screen effect.
though the colors may be bright, you can still clearly see the ID numbers. You can also see and interact with `enter building`, `open car doors` etc.
So in script it means the drug adds a visual effect.
Why not make that script code to show the color code #000000 you know, as it is a layer after all. And make it so it is not a translucent effect and voila, you got a bag over your head and you can see the gps, IDs and door handles!!
-------------------
On the other note -
Problems start to arise if there should be OOC consent asked for kidnapping with a bag over head.
Would it be an effect someone can `use` on someone that is `/down` for like idk 5 minutes? and then it goes off, like the bag naturally slips off?
Would it stay on forever until the kidnappers removes the bag?
Can the player access glove compartment if they have a bag over their head and are not in trunk but in a passenger seat?
-------------------
A lot of questions, all still easily answerable by admins and easily implementable by devs.
It is more up to the staff to decide if this is neccessary.

Still dont know if i want it in the server though. Slavery roleplay is still allowed, so i guess -1 from me

this still dosent change the fact that you cant actually see what they are doing.  which is the problem.
