britbritxo Posted December 3, 2024 Report Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) Trigger Warning: References a previous post that has ties to SA Wanted to make an appreciation post to everyone who supported the recent rule change. Coming together as a collective voice so quickly and taking action is what made the change happen. A change that had been long discussed in the community. Huge win for the community itself. I also want to say thank you to everyone who shared their story publicly or with me privately. Your courage in speaking out did not go unnoticed, and it's been instrumental in bringing about this change within the community. For those who have felt triggered by some of the content on the server recently, I see you, and I hear you. This rule change is a testament to the strength of a community coming together to take a stand against harmful behavior. We hope this sends a clear message that this behavior will no longer be tolerated or overlooked or unpunished. I hope that those who have participated in these harmful actions take the time to reflect and truly understand the damage their behavior causes to others. Accountability starts with acknowledging the harm done and committing to change. Be better. Let it be clear: we will not blame victims in this community. Period. To the players who have never felt like they could speak up about this happening to them or reported similar issues in the past but were dismissed, disbelieved, or even blamed—you deserved better. This one is for you. You have paved the way for a safer and more inclusive environment for players, and I hope this marks the beginning of a better chapter for the community overall. EDIT: Apparently it will still go unpunished... but let it be clear it WILL NOT go unnoticed by the community. People are watching now. You know who you are. Be better. Jordan Posted December 3, 2024 Report Posted December 3, 2024 I want to thank you personally @britbritxo A little over a year ago now, my friends had an interaction with a select few individuals that I thought would be considered gross RP, however because of how the rule used to be written, they were actually absolved from any punishments. I am no longer friends with those who were affected, but at the time we had made a community post asking to have the rule be changed to accommodate for those who simply didn't like that kind of RP. At the time it was denied and I believe archived, but now you've done something I truly and wholeheartedly appreciate. So Thank you! I really appreciate you and your contribution to the community it truly means a lot. 4 Quote
Diligo Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) I respect this change. I play with my wife on this server and I literally did not allow her to participate in any criminal roleplay because of how bad it was for female characters but thanks to you and all the community I feel safe that she can now roleplay on this server as a crim without getting targeted and abused specifically because of her gender.
