Dola Posted July 17, 2024 Report Posted July 17, 2024 Seen this used in other servers which is quite smart imo. I think a big thing to focus on is increasing the player count. A daily reward for being logged on for certain amount of hours (2–3). Do it in the form of crates. Who doesn't love a good crate opening? Could be OOC rewards Credits, Vehicles, Free Name change, Free license plate change, VIP etc Could be IC cash rewards. Could be a mixture of both. When there's nothing to do I don't feel enough incentive to stay logged in for my 12 credits (if i do 12 days straight and dont miss a day)... 1 1 Quote

Just collect it when you reached daily reward time. Like a spin the wheel. Treasure hunt every week is 1 out of 7 days. You want something to keep people logging in everyday. And it can be implemented in IC way. If it is IC cash rewards and it lands on 10k then "You received a cheque for 10,000". Gives people a reason to stay logged in and player count will rise because of it, essentially resulting in more rp. Edited July 18, 2024 by Dola 1 Quote
Sigma Posted July 19, 2024 Report Posted July 19, 2024 +1 Definitely would give a lot more incentive for people to log in. I understand the whole credit thing but to buy anything worth while with credits that you get from logging in, you gonna have to log in AND keep that streak up for a while. Something that is given daily for people logging in that could be rewards as mentioned in the original post would be ideal tbh. Small amounts wont hurt the server economy, or other aspects, im sure this could be integrated to work according to the server goals whilst also allowing for that increased log on incentive. Quote
Teenyinnit Posted July 19, 2024 Report Posted July 19, 2024 i think instead of items, maybe giving a buff on in game cash of like up to 10% for doing work etc. or the hourly salary you get could be $1100 instead of $1000 Quote

Supply drops are addicting to open and unpredictable. its like gambling. It would cause people to stay logged in longer. Its the excitement. 100 an hour increase is not exciting. Quote

Could be 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k, 30k, 40k, 50k, 1 week VIP, Tickets to a raffle.... could be even better stuff but very very slim chance of getting it. Its about the excitement of "what if?" Most people will get low prizes like 10k-20k but its the possibility of winning something good that will keep people logged on for 2 or 3 hours to see what they get that will boost the player count. With more people logged on it gives more opportunities for everyone Quote

Quietthecutie Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Cool idea. wont happen tho. It would undermine the current paid VIP system. which is the servers primary source of income. maybe if this was purely for people who already paid for VIP. that might fly. cant see it happening otherwise tho. Getting vip for a week aint gonna hurt. Plus they could make their own chances of it happening. Also if someone with vip gets it they get an extra week of vip on top of what they paid for Quote
Demonmit1 Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Daily login rewards, loot boxes, FOMO systems are bad game design. There’s endless topics online about why this is a bad idea. It has no bearing on RP, it shouldn't be a thing. If you are not feeling incentivized to log in and play, then don't. Take a break, come back when you’re ready to play again and have the time and energy to make fun RP for yourself and others. If the admins/owners want people to have an incentive to log in, keep a regular update schedule and produce the updates that people are requesting, like the stuff in the QOL update thread. 1 1 Quote

I'd rather have meaningful updates to our gamin experience than more in game cash. just grind a job or join a faction. money isn't meant to be easy to get. I'd much rather know that the Devs are giving us new and exciting things to DO Quote
