A Soulful Grand Opening
It may have taken more time than they anticipated but the grand opening of Soul Food Mountain BBQ Has finally arrived! After weeks of hard work from Willy and a last minute clutch assist from Gator, The Souls were ready to debut the restaurant at a fun event with live music and free food and drinks! The event went well and The Souls built up their treasury through a raffle for a fully maxed Coquette D5!

Doubled Rook
In order to continue their war against the corrupt Los Santos Law Enforcement, The Souls cannot depend entirely on what they alone can smuggle. Unfortunately, obtaining more powerful weaponry can get expensive. Willy arranged a meeting with two old friends from The Rooks, to see if they could help with the needs of the gang. Aki and Willy sat down with REDACTED and REDACTED to talk business. The Deal was a simple you scratch our backs we’ll scratch yours scenario. In order to receive discounts on weapons The Souls would need to deliver 12 chopped cars a month. The deal was set and a business relationship between the two gangs was established.

Reloaded
Following two successful raids by the SD, the Souls have suffered heavy losses, with a significant stash of weapons seized. Now, desperate for firepower, cash, and drugs to keep their fight against the city's corruption alive, they’ve been forced to rebuild.

Winston reached out to old CONNECTIONs, securing a new business deal after a few negotiations. With backing from REDACTED, he placed a weapons order for the Souls worth nearly a million.

But guns weren’t the only priority. With the help of oLD friends, the Souls reclaimed a lost chop shop, putting it back under their control. After a brief discussion, Winston also struck a business deal with them, further expanding the SOUL’s reach.

Within a week, the Souls had forged multiple working relationships with various gangs across Los Santos—proving they were far from finished. Now, armed to the teeth and backed by close ties, the Souls are more dangerous than ever. The war has only begun.

Provoking Consequences
It had been a long day for the Souls. Ronny and Aki, in particular, had it pretty bad. They were constantly harassed and arrested by police, throughout the entire day. Eventually after Aki's 4th arrest, for being accused of a murder she didn't commit, but caught with a gun as usual, she had enough. The next cop that approached her or anyone from Souls would not have a good time and that's exactly what happened. Now Aki was just on the run at this point, evading cops several times. She picked Ronny up from DOC and headed back to the city where Ronny was already fed up and ready to "crash out". This is when the final straw happened as Aki was driving to LSC, actually going the speed limit, for once, she was yet again pulled over by SD. Frustrated, she demanded to know why she was being pulled over. As usual, SD did not want to give that information up and this caused Aki to just run, while remaining in disguise. Ronny, however, didn't want to go to prison again, so Aki let him off the bike before continuing to evade. Unfortunately this was a meaningless effort. Ronny was searched and arrested anyway due to the gun he was given earlier. Aki already fed up, and hearing over the radio that Ronny was getting arrested, declared no more. SD was clearly provoking The Souls and it was time for payback. After picking up Ronny from DOC, and going over the plan, Winston, Jesse, Ronny, and Aki set out to go attempt to do their favorite pass time of kidnapping a cop. They saw their shot when they drove by DOC and saw an SD cruiser leaving the area. Souls pulled up on the cruiser and demanded they pull over, which surprisingly worked for half a second. Unfortunately once the guns were seen, they immediately fled causing the Souls to chase the cruiser. Winston was told to ready his weapon but before more demands could be given shots rang out from both sides causing a shoot out. The souls had unfortunately been caught in the middle of the highway now slowly getting surrounded as they fought. This led to Ronny and Aki retreating to the hills across from DOC, where they continued to return fire. Usually Souls wouldn't out-right kill any individual unless well deserved, and this was one of those times. Aki and Ronny laid into SD killing a cop and injuring another, while they returned fire injuring both Jesse and Winston, allowing them to now focus their efforts on Ronny and Aki. SD proceeded to flank Ronny and began firing upon him as he continued to shoot, until he was out of ammo. This forced him to make a run for it. At this point Aki managed to flank the ones sniping at Ronny, and take them out of the fight, before she was also forced to flee. This gave Ronny equal opportunity to escape. Ronny, however, decided he would try, at the very least, to retrieve the gun given to Jesse by Aki before leaving in case he had to fight again. This unfortunately led to his downfall as he was captured by the remain SD officers along with Jesse while the other member succumbed to his injures and passed. Aki was the soul survivor in this fight but she felt the message was felt loud and clear. If you want to provoke the Souls, they will stand their ground when pushed.

Back to Work.
Bella was gone for most of the month as her sister, Alejandra, was in trouble with immigration and she had to sort out a place for her to stay under the radar.

Stepping back off the plane, Bella arrived in Los Santos once again. She met up with The Souls leadership and got an update about the past few weeks that she was absent for; The Cartel, Raid, Recruitment and Moving forward.

After all the information was past to Bella, she was prepared to step back into the streets of LS. From the new Souls HQ in Hawick, she logged into the gangs' database and began working.

After everything was updated, and how she liked it. Bella went with Willy to meet with a new prospect, someone who Rob 'Grim' Reaper introduced to the group for approval. With a short and sweet conversation, Willy gave his nod, and welcomed the new hang-around to be with the group.

It was important that the group continued to look outwards for new members, as their reputation grew, so would the need for hardwork.

The Soul of Los Santos.

With the Souls' consistency with diplomacy being a major factor in their identity the gang was keen to open communication with other groups from around the city. Their new, centrally located HQ provided a perfect space for their meetings to take place.

The East Side Mob, led by [REDACTED] arrived with members of the ES Mob with him. They spoke briefly with Willy, who called for High Command to join him. The meeting was broadly about an incident where shots were fired, and two members of the Souls were killed in a misunderstanding. The two groups summarised the meeting and agreed to arrange a new meeting to formally introduce the two groups to each other.

After the ESM meeting, it was time to organise some meetings of their own. Messages were sent, and meetings were organised. First on the list was The Regiment, a group who enjoyed a fight, but had their humour side too!
Meeting Topics:
Trade, Partnerships, Bank Heists?

Next to enter the courtyard was Los Locos. Bella's countrymen. The Souls are fans of the gang and it showed when the 'Command Meeting' turned into 'The Gang Meeting'.
Meeting Topics:
Turfs and Expansion, Supplies, Co-Planned Events.

The last meeting of the week was with The Empire. Long-term friends with the Souls, with both sets of Leadership holding huge respect for one another.
Meeting Topics:
Old Times, New Connections, City Diplomacy, Upcoming Events.

A Reminder Of Values
Every time a new member joins the ranks of The Souls, a ceremony is held in which they are presented with a skull mask and white gloves. These items are not just a fashion statement. They represent the two core values that are represented in the organization. The mask represents their commitment to fight the injustice plaguing the city by law enforcement. The gloves represent lending a helping hand to those in need. At times, the focus on fighting injustice can distract from the other equally important value. After some reflection The Souls remembered their oath to help out those in need. Leading by example, Aki began Guiding new citizens of Los Santos, which prompted Lilliana to do the same. Once again, this became something they would spend their free time doing, as we were all once new to the city and found ourselves in need.

Riding Low.

The Souls enjoyed working with each other, the highs and lows the group made an effort to do activities together, whether for a higher purpose or simply to have fun. Aki took a few members on a BMX bike ride around Los Santos, looking for anything interesting to catch the eye of the group, poking fun at LEOs and just vibing together.

Between the down-time, there was the business. The Souls had to maintain connections not only within the criminal underworld, but with each other. Making sure all of the members were on the same page - especially members of the command team.

The Art of Snitching.

While chilling at Los Santos Parking, members of The Souls were enjoying their evening when a random woman approaches, asking if any of the group was interested in being a 'sugar baby'. After a brief chuckle and the group declining, the strange woman began to become more and more rude to members of the gang. After being told to leave multiple times by Charlie, Aki stepped in too, telling this strange lady to leave the area before her words turned into something more serious.

It was at this point the weird 'sugar mommy' decided to disrespect Aki. Hell No. Charlie grabbed a glass bottle, smashing it and directing the sharp glass to the back of this stranger causing her to dart away. Away toward the cops...

They were snitching instantly, in earshot of the members of the Souls. This would absolutely not be tolerated. Aki whizzed up to high ground with her BMX, drawing her Pistol .50 and getting ready for action. Rob kept eyes on both the snitch and Charlie, who at this point was being chased by the LSPD on foot.

Once the cops had started their pursuit of Charlie, Aki opened fire on the Snitch, quickly incapacitating then executing them from a distance. But it wasn't over, Charlie had been captured, and brought within the firing arc of Aki... At minimum Charlie was looking at 'assault with a deadly weapon' and 'resisting arrest' at worse 'attempted murder'. Weighing up the outcomes, Aki decided it would be worth the battle to try and get Charlie free.

Shots rang out. And Charlie was freed.

One Snitch and Two LSPD officers down - in other words; A successful Souls operation.

Change of Stance.

Throughout the Souls' existence, Willy Bostigan was a major part in shaping what the gang was to be - his strong belief to remove corruption fueled his input into the gang's direction. Always by the side of Gator, he led the way in illegal operations for the majority of his time within The Souls, inflating the treasury and allowing the group to bond during his ops.

Blood, sweat and tears driven by loyalty to the group allowed him to be recognised and promoted to the 2nd highest rank in the gang. It was during this time that Willy was able to really focus on what he wanted to see. The fight against corruption was a bloody one, with a grey area of effectiveness. Were we fighting for the right thing? Are doing this in the best way? Is there something else? All questions that were bouncing around Willy's head.

After a long thought out process, and a conversation with Aki, Willy - with a heavy heart - decided to shift his personal approach to fight corruption, opting for a more peaceful and, well... legal... approach to root out corruption from the Los Santos Police Department and Sheriff's office through the Justice Department.

What about Soul Food? It wasn't yet sure what the plan was with the restaurant, Willy had been working hard to keep it running, but now, with the name changed and Willy gone it wasn't certain what the next step would be. Would it close down? Would Willy try and take complete ownership? Or will the Souls maintain control over it? Only time would tell...

Charlie Charlie. Charlie Bankshot had been hanging around with and was welcomed into the Souls a few weeks ago, and has since been a chaotic but invaluable team member. Her not being afraid to get her hands (or anything else) dirty on behalf of the group was noticed and positively seen by her peers and, more importantly, by Command. A few attempts was made by Bella Cruz to officially initiate Charlie into the gang but 'things' tended to get in the way. *The Souls stole an unsuspecting SD cruiser for a joyride around the city.* *In an attempt to free a member of high command, Charlie took an SD deputy hostage... It didn't end well.* Finally an opportunity arrived and Bella firmly asked her command member Rob Reaper to keep Charlie from getting arrested, and bring her to the gang's old photo area, which was on a roof overlooking the city. Upon getting the small group to the roof, Rob gave Bella a nod and she responded in kind. Turning her attention to Charlie, Bella asked for her phone. And inspected it checking for any signs of snitching or alt motives for joining the gang. Clean. Once happy, the ceremony began. After reciting the words that every member, new and old, of the Souls has it was official. Charlie was given the rank of Archangel and was officially a member of the gang.

Adios Bella.

While the gang's footprint on the city was firmly imprinted, and the fight against corruption was hot members of The SOULS were finding themselves behind bars regularly.

But behind the gang scene, Bella got a text from her sister, Alejandra Cruz, there was trouble at home... Family always came first, especially against the government. The safehouse Bella organized for her sister a while back was comped agents from ICE. A situation that she needed to fix.

Before she goes, however, things needed to be left in a good place so the gang is able to continue like nothing's changed. A few deals were made. Instructions passed on. And Promotions given as apart of the Souls' biggest internal meeting to date, with the aid of one of her leader, Aki, and the whole command team.

As a final show of force before her departure Aki instructed the group to convoy around the city to MRPD, then up to the county. It was a proud moment for the group... which ended in the typical way for Souls...

Prosecute.

Bella woke up on her day of release from DOC. And made her way back to the city, where she found Arthur standing at parking, who spotted her and ran over. "Oscar's been beefing with a legal," he told Bella, who wanted the rundown, as beefing with people for petty reasons was common recently. While talking, the 'legal', who was the subject of the issue, pulled up on the sidewalk once again in his 10f, running his mouth in front of Bella, Arthur and Oscar. Asking, "Do you know who I am?" and "You won't be talking when I put you behind bars" - before driving off.

Conveniently, the license plate on his car had a specific name, which, after a bit of research, Bella discovered belonged to a junior prosecutor. This was enough to find him and teach him a thing about controlling his ego.

Oscar got to work breaking into the parking lot opposite City Hall, where the 10f was spotted while Arthur sat with Bella in a scouting position around the corner. It didn't take long before the car was lockpicked and started by the crew.

Bella, with Arthur in the passenger seat, drove around quickly collecting some tools for the car. Off to Cayo.

Before leaving the car on the island, the Souls left a message for the driver to read when he made the journey to pick up his car...

After returning to the city, Oscar went to check on City Hall to see if the prosecutor was around. He was. Oscar radioed that the prosecutor was continuing to talk his talk and disrespecting him. Bella and Arthur rushed over in disguise and attempted to kidnap him. Upon the gang pulling up, the prosecutor sprinted toward the doors of City Hall, drawing his firearm. The members of the Souls opened up and killed the prosecutor on the steps of City Hall. Shit.

Death wasn't the intention, but unfortunately, it happens... But it wasn't over yet, there was now a corpse with witnesses at City Hall. Bella grabbed the bleeding corpse and threw it over her shoulder. She ran to the vehicle, dumped it in the trunk and fled the area.

The group made their way to the foundry to dispose of it. After confirming the prosecutor was dead, the group tossed the body into the molten metal, closing the door and leaving, ending this chapter.

Entwined Souls.

The Souls were a group of individuals who joined together to achieve a common goal: to fight corruption and help those in need. A part of meeting people and working side-by-side is that connections are built, friendships, partnerships, and sometimes even relationships. A couple of members of the Souls found themselves entwined with one another, and a spark they decided to fan. The gang was supportive, and the couple were excited to see where the journey with each other and within the Souls goes.

Work and Play.

The Souls were almost always working hard, making money, fighting against the forces that be, or keeping relations. Always keen to improve the place they call home.

But without the chance to enjoy the hardships, it would be a hard-sell to any would be Soul. So, with that said, making friends and enjoying time off was encouraged and a favorite part of our week.

Regimental Business.

[Redacted], the leader of the well-renown gang, The Regiment, came by to speak to The Souls' command about ordering a shipment of ingredients through the black market. Always happy to help the meeting was short and prices agreed. While talking to each other [Redacted], suggested the two groups could make a quick 'withdrawal'.

An exchange of nods and a joint radio frequency, the two groups prepared themselves for a bank robbery of the Route 68 Fleeca. The crew started their jobs and the flock descended on the bank. Within seconds bags were filling with cash, but an unwelcomed sound emerged from outside the bank's doors. COPS.

Everyone inside the bank scattered as quickly as they could although 4 bank robbers were tied up and caught by the closing deputies from the Sheriff's Department.

Overall, money made, bonds strengthened.

The Souls Influence.

Regardless of activities the gang found itself doing. It was imperative that throughout the days and weeks the gang ensured a firm control over their own territory. From Legion to Benny's, the gang ruled over the turfs uncontested.

While the gang's car scrap business was their main source of income and control, cash was also important to obtain on a regular basis.

It was only fairly recently that the gang was able to do large scale 'activities' on their own due to consistent recruitment. This meant that rather than splitting the take between the Souls and another organisation, the take was all ours.

Entwined Souls Pt.2 The Souls continued to be a breath of somewhat-harmony in the world of criminal relations by continuing their neutrality, which has always been an important pillar of the organisation. This contrasted with the harsh fighters who fought tooth and nail against the corruption of the Police Department. But even during conflict and business, there were still chances for pleasantries with each other. After months of dating, Charlie and Valen both wholeheartedly committed to one another, with a proposal from Valen, plans for the wedding were at the forefront of their minds. Something the gang was looking forward to being a part of. Time passed, and the couple couldn't wait anymore; they asked Warden LaFleur (of all people) to officiate, and they had the ceremony on the lawn of City Hall. Solidifying their relationship with a marriage. Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Belle.

The Souls Services.

A fresh racing gang had made its presence known in the city of Los Santos, and it was gaining notoriety. The Souls and the new racing gang, Off Grid, organized a meeting, and it was brought up in passing during conversation that The Souls offer distraction and security services for not-so-legal events/activities. [REDACTED] mentioned their upcoming event and how they could use assistance to distract cops away from their street races if things go down. It was agreed upon that the Souls would assist.

As an act of good faith, both organizations decided to do a bank robbery together in sports cars to build our trust in one another. Aki set up outside the bank with Villanelle and Sammy setting up an ambush for us to evade.

After some minor details were cleared up, the Souls showed up around 45 minutes before the event to make sure there was no police presence, and Lilliana took the lead to create a plan for how we would operate.

Some cops came by a few times but were spooked away by Lilliana and Valen pulling up on them and coercing them to leave. They returned with backup, to which Aki decided to step it up and drag the LSPD away from the event by evading up to the county. It was around 30 minutes before any other cop arrived at the event.

Cops did eventually return, but this time, one of the street racers who was confident in their ability to evade made himself the rabbit for the police force to follow, which took up all of their resources, allowing the event to continue as smoothly as planned.

Off Grid put together an excellent show of cars and a race, which ended up in a few additional random races after the event for those who wanted more.

Assisting The Empire.

Early in the week, Rob 'Grim' Reaper made some deals with the leader of The Empire, the deal was simple; A couple hundred critical drug ingredients, for discounted firearm trades. This was a taster for The Empire. Upon losing a valuable supplier of ingredients when connections with the Cartel were increased with other groups, The Empire was desperate to open a new line of connections with someone, and that someone was the Souls.

The leader of the Empire connected Bella Cruz, the designated Quartermaster and the ideal person to order large quantities of good through the blackmarket. He asked for 1000 ingredients to assist The Empire in dominating the drug trade in their territories, Bella agreed.

Bella Cruz got to work, ordering tactically through the black market, employing members of The Souls to pick up the drops and bring them to a centralised location, she texted [Redacted] and told him she had his stuff, prices were agreed upon, and a location set, the delivery was swift and smooth.

Although being away for a while these close friends knew they could rely on each other.

Mutual Friends.

Every week the Souls continue to weave their webs of influence across the corners of Los Santos. To do this, the group is always keen to bolster other groups' ranks during operations; Chopping, Cooking or Bank Robberies.

While looking outward is key for success in the city, recognising those internally who play vital roles to the gang - and rewarding them with promotion is just as important.

Valen Belle has been in the group for a few months and has been important in not only the criminal side of The Souls, but also the legal. It was a great pleasure to have him step into the core role in The Souls, Principality. To cement his position as a trusted member in the group, he was taken to a loyal tattoo shop and given the recognisable tattoo of the Souls.

A helping hand come full circle:

A lot of people know the souls for their constant fight of what they see as corruption against LEO's and Government. While some may not agree with their course of action in doing so, most can get behind their ultimate goal of trying to make this city a better place for everyone to thrive, not just a select few. While the Souls fight their version of crime in full display, behind the scenes they lend a hand to those that need it, and those that reach out. This is a time where that helping hand paid off, and the souls got to see thier work come back full circle from someone they helped before.

That's right! poppy herself, inspired by her love of Mason, has joined the souls with a new role that suits her perfectly: our Mascot.
