averyy Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) honestly i believe there should be a rule against just spamming save pov in pms whenever a player loses a situation or gets an outcome that they do not like, mainly because 80% of my storage is in povs of people who says they report but they dont and also whenever this happens it makes me question my level of rp in that situation and quite frankly its very annoying how you cannot win a single situation without having to go through a whole ooc situation or a forum report even if you did not break a single rule and this really takes the fun out of RP in the server Edited June 20, 2024 by averyy Quote
SquirtleSquad Posted June 21, 2024 Report Posted June 21, 2024 This is already something that has been in place, which is why it's brought up. While not explicitly stated in the IC/OOC rules, the rule itself aims and keeping a safe and promoting a healthy environment for all involved. Quote Dear Eclipse Community, Happy Sunday! and Happy Halloween! - Please see a reminder of the below announcement I sent out back in 2021. Currently, many players are immediately going into OOC & saying "save POV" which is not healthy and does not contribute positively to our environment. We feel that this is often used as a mental game where a player says this in-game with the hope to achieve something e.g. changing the outcome of a roleplay situation or using the term to reduce any negative roleplay consequences which they might endure as a result of in-character actions. Moving forward, we will continue not tolerate the use of /b in situations to immediately go "Save POV" or any other related terms, instead, we will require that you in a civilized manner, contact the player(s) through /pm. You should not simply say "Save POV", but rather, explain that you wish them to save their footage because of x, y, z (e.g. "Hey, I would like you to save your footage as I feel that this attack wasn't escalated properly). If you do not intend on posting a player report in the end, you should share this with the player(s) that you had previously told to save their footage. We recognize that sometimes in the heat of the moment, you may feel a rule has been broken, but this does not mean that you cannot be civilized about the way you approach the issue. Do not attempt to change the outcome of situations by playing mental games. Thanks, Eclipse Management Discord Announcement Quote

Until people start remembering that we're all playing characters it won't get any better. Quote
