Drug table explosion rework [911 call for explosion rework]

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've always found it a bit odd. How someone blowing up a table 100% of the time. will get a property compromised.

I think there should be a way for players to counter the call in the event of a table blowing up. I was roaming the map and came by one of the random crime NPCs and thought to my self.

These can be used for more then this.

My idea for the re-work. Is to use NPC's instead of a direct GPS tracker to the door in question.

Upon a table exploding, an NPC could be spawned within about 150 meters of the door to the property. upon spawning the NPC will wait 5 to 10 seconds before making the 911 call.

The players would then have the ability to find the NPC and ether hold him at gun point for X amount of time, to make him run away (De-spawn)

Or they could bribe the NPC an X amount of money to not tell where the sound came from.

[Honest] Passer by: The explosion came from the property right there! *Officer/FD player gets the exact location of the house marked on their GPS*

[Bribed] Passer by: Sorry, I don't know where it came from exactly. I just heard the sound.

FD/PD/SD Could still inspect the properties in the area to see if they see smoke or fire from the doors, but the players could use a fire extinguisher to put out the fires to prevent FD/PD/SD from spotting it.

With the changes to how tables work I don't really see this being able to work... there has to be some risk involved and with the only explosions now coming from RVS parked in the middle of nowhere I don't know how viable this is. Not saying I think its a bad idea just not sure how viable it is considering 99% of the time the RV is the only thing in the area.

Not sure what changes you refer to but tables used outdoors at properties can still explode so it's not only lone RVs.

The hardest part about this suggestion is probably making the peds spawn in good random locations around the property. It would be easier to have the ped spawn at the door markers of the property (because the co-ords already exist) after a short amount of time and then start running away from there - when they reach a certain distance or time from the explosion they start calling emergency services (unless the player stops them). I do agree that the exact location shouldn't be immediately obvious to allow time for the criminal player/s to react to incoming cops.

I think the way the tables can randomly explode regardless of the current heat phase is counter-intuitive as you're constantly checking the heat and cooling them so it doesn't make any sense and also can't be explained RPly. I think the chemical spills should be much more volatile (e.g. if you leave a spill for more than 300 seconds the table now has a very high possibility to explode) so basically tables should only be able to explode when overheated or spilled. When a table explodes it could destroy the surrounding tables and all of the items (drugs, water) on the ground in a certain radius (for bonus points destroy hazmat and chemical mask and apply 'facial blemishes' and burn the players' hair off so they need plastic surgery too - further increasing the risk and loss). Cops could return to properties that have been known for cooking drugs with sniffer dogs and find it without an explosion happening too.

I will end by saying I am biased because the table I was pouring water on blew up in my face right at the end of a 2hr12min cook even though I was constantly checking 💀
