tuccci
Adding the ability to lock the glovebox will help stop the annoying event of someone jumping into your car, and stealing everything from the glovebox in 0.5 seconds. /lockglovebox would make the interior inventory inaccessible with the "I" key. /unlockglovebox would make it possible to use this inventory. /unlockglovebox should work with either a bobby pin OR the vehicle keys (triggering the minigame to get into the glovebox if a bobby pin is being used)
Ash
Instead, I believe it should only be accessible by driver or main passenger seat imo 1

Means people in the back can't grow extraordinary long arms and reach forward to search the glovebox.

You could even double down on this with a /locktrunk command as well to stop people doing the same thing OP mentioned but with the trunk. Again, IRL most cars have the ability to keep the trunk locked whilst having the doors open. Anything to stop gremlins.
Joozie
To be honest I agree with this, locking your glovebox would be extremely helpful. +
