Victus Posted December 28, 2023 Report Posted December 28, 2023 So the developers have added a slew of new vehicles into the credit shop, which overall I think is a good idea and incentivizes people to donate and therefore help the server. However, many of the new vehicles, particularly vehicles such as the Paragon R, Kamacho, even 10F Widebody, are vehicles that a part of me feels a little bitter (as someone who spent soo many hours to grind and obtain all of these notable vehicles) about being added because I think they are too valuable to be obtained with just IRL money. This mainly applies to the crim side but also legal side of things, for example the Paragon is a very big hallmark in my criminal career and just seeing someone with one felt like they were experienced/ capable, taking several long hours of grinding (in both criminal or legal) work to obtain it. Same with the Kamacho (one of, if not the best best 4-door offroad with storage) these vehicles are very very useful and important for many different tasks, and the fact that someone can simply obtain them in their first few weeks by opening their wallets up without any of the grind is eh. As it stands someone can buy all the vehicles they need, a nice apartment, and basically be set with bitcoin donations (which I can understand to a degree as donators are the lifeblood of this server and should be rewarded for their donations but I think there should be a degree to how far donations can get you). However, I do understand the pros of these changes. First off, maybe it is a good thing that there is an alternative without having to grind hard to get some of these vehicles, this will allow people to focus more on RP (although it can be argued money grind should be part of the RP/leads to avenues of RP). Of course, the biggest pro is that this will help our community get more donations and therefore allow the staff to not only keep the server running but I am sure it will help fund the many fun new scripts/updates they have been implementing the past few months, so I am all for that. Anyways, that is my immediate thoughts on this but I would love to hear what others think about these recent changes. 1 Quote
hrxvey Posted December 28, 2023 Report Posted December 28, 2023 its not a bad thing imo, server is already too asset based so this just makes it less grindy for players who can afford it, however i do not agree with the new VIP changes. 1 Quote
Herbo Posted December 28, 2023 Report Posted December 28, 2023 I don't think there's anything necessarily bad about meta-vehicles being accessed through credits now. It allows people to have fun without having to grind their ass off. The part of the Credit Store I don't like is vehicles like the GTO, ETR-1, and Toros being added. Vehicles that were very rare cars and were exclusive to own are now the equivelant to a white warrener because everyone now owns one. There's been like 7 or 8 different EXTREMELY rare cars that have been ruined in the past like 3 releases and it's kinda fucked to just ruin a rare cars rareness. 2 Quote

Salvador Rivera Posted December 29, 2023 Report Posted December 29, 2023 I completely understand why you are writing this and why you think that they should not be put up for sale. The same story with Toros,GTO, ETR-1 and Ital. but at the same time I don't like the fact that people bought supers for 500k and now try to sell them for 20-30mil. A bit funny Many things are simply broken, to put it mildly . Quote
Bala Posted December 29, 2023 Report Posted December 29, 2023 I respect the fact that you've taken the time to make this, as no doubt it will be a conversation that quite a few of our community members will be having privately in the past few days. Now, I'm someone who benefits from these changes, in that I have VIP and will most likely purchase one of the aforementioned cars with the credits I have but I'd be lying if I said I felt good about it, for some of the similar reasons that you do. I suppose it depends what you value in the server. If you're just looking to be able to vibe and enjoy yourself with your choice of car, it's great. If you're someone who likes things to be really balanced, it's not great. But, a meta has always existed in our server, whether that be from credit vehicles like the Issi Sport or even before that with the Comets and the Rapid GTs and such. So, this isn't really a server that is overtly concerned on balance and I'm not really sure this latest change really does in fact change that much, it's more just a continuation of that. I hope that particularly with the inclusion of the Itali GTO, law enforcement can now have something that will be able to compete with that. I'm also acutely aware that the developers have spent quite a bit on new interiors at my own request and that doesn't come without spending a decent chunk of change. I certainly feel a little better about asking for stuff in future, knowing that the server is being so well supported financially. What I would say though, I have a lot of modded vehicles that I want to add to the server, for factions, jobs and civilian use so I hope that when it comes down to it, that the developers are as open to supporting that route as they are to supporting the credit vehicles and Rockstar update vehicles. I also think that if at the end of the day, this sort of thing keeps the developers invested in new content elsewhere in the community, then I actually don't really care what people can purchase too much. As long as the other areas of the server that need updating get updated and we grow the community in different ways with the profits, I don't mind the devs taking some off the top and spending it on themselves. End of the day, if you look at it like a business for them, they've made something profitable and if they wanna take a little off the top to go get their nails done or something, more power to them. Ritchie Stones Posted December 29, 2023 Report Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) im super lucky to have one of the GTO, and its worth every penny, in regards to police chases, if you do a crime in a supercar, then your car should be impounded for at least 30k, and not taking it out for a week. look, those cars really nice, but its a car to chill with in the city and flex, these cars should not be used in any crime what so ever. especially not a police chase. at least have the responsibility when having such car and take care of it. btw I'm a crim myself if you get caught in a chase, i wont feel bad if you end up with a week impound and 30 to 50k to take it out. wanna be a big guy, then pay like a big guy. thanks devs for this wonderful opportunity btw Edited December 29, 2023 by Ritchie Stones added bit more information 1 2 Quote
Drizzy. Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) My answer would be different over the years but currently I think its a nice option to be able to buy certain super vehicles/sport vehicles. It allows people to have a choice in the current climate. If you do crimes with it, at the minute it cost more to impound etc but I wouldnt be opposed to it being more dramatic based on the value of the vehicles. If theyre consistently being used in crime, I think being held for longer times too. I dont think too many people would be doing serious crimes in a super anyway, its more of a subtle flex or enjoying a diff vehicle. #Itsjustpixels The server being in a financially comfortable spot means more chance of cool MLOs and unique things coming to the server! #GibNewClothesPls Edited December 30, 2023 by Drizzy. 1 Quote
Apex Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 I never cared about those things until they started effecting the eco itself. Issue with F6 store is that it basically tanks the price of every vehicle it contains and that is a major problem in an asset-driven server. When The ar that you bought for 1.5 mil suddenly loses 300K of its value or when you spend over 15 mil on a 1:1 or a rare car then suddenly everyone and their mother is driving you will just feel like you wasted your time. 11 hours ago, Drizzy. said: The server being in a financially comfortable spot means more chance of cool MLOs and unique things coming to the server! #GibNewClothesPls I'm no expert but I am pretty sure that the server has been doing financially well for the last couple of years and we barely had any updates. With that being said i dont think the money mattered since it wasn't being reinvested back in the first place. Quote
Jett_J Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 People won't spend money on cars that aren't meta unless they do it for character lore. It may feel unfair that someone can spend money to buy something rather than grind like you did but that's how a lot of games work . Quote
