ColonelKabobz Posted October 23, 2023 Report Posted October 23, 2023 Who is the suggestion for? - Criminals Why is the suggestion being made? - Traffic cameras force us to slow down in the middle of intense situations What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pros: RP will continue and it is more realistic, no cons How should the suggestion be implemented? - If going above 200 KM/H, the cameras wont give you a ticket because it did not catch your plate because you were going too fast and it makes sense RPly, and it allows us to keep speeding for pursuits or important scenarios. Demonmit1 Posted October 23, 2023 Report Posted October 23, 2023 (edited) sounds more like a skill issue with getting caught, rather than an unrealistic issue of a speeding camera catching people who speed. Maybe you should plan your escape routes around the speeding cameras so you dont get a ticket? American speeding ticket cameras are apparently rated for up to 200mph (321 KPH) to get a clear image. Mythbusters required a vehicle to be going 245mph (394KPH) to beat the camera. so... there's your range of where the cameras should probably have a chance to not issue a ticket. 320-400kph. good luck finding a car in game that will do that. Requiem Posted October 24, 2023 Report Posted October 24, 2023 -1 The speed cameras were partially implemented for OOC reasons to encourage people to slow down and discourage unrealistic driving everywhere you go. Speed cameras are also a realistic thing, and to the points made above, could not just be outrun. If you want to not get tickets, either slow down at the cameras or rethink your driving routes.
