i was wondering if this mod is allowed in the server

 

-PLD (Player Location Display)

 

if its allowed, are there any more useful mods we can use?

Game Modifications & Cheating

It is strictly prohibited to use any game modifications or software that provide you with an unfair advantage over players who use the default GTA V and GTA:N files or software. Having the ability to activate cheats on demand is also prohibited even if you are not using them***! In most situations, cheating will result in a permanent ban.

Its obviously giving some advantage to people who are not using it.. Explains why the moderator AccidentalHuman arent using it anymore aswell..

this is not giving any advantage.. this is for own use to make it a bit more realistic, Police/Medics just get a waypoint to you.

and a admin is using this mod too i dont remember who i saw it on his youtube

Why use it if it isnt giving any advantage? It is. Yeah thats AccidentalHuman on the forums or Richard Vane in-character. I dont think he is using it anymore.. Check his newest video.

I guess... But I think the no mods allowed rule are fairly clear... Also not really good for the staff to bend the rules on certain mods.. I am sure cops/taxi/medics etc will get nice gps mods once its fully supported by gtaN, server side.

This could/should be incorporated into the server when the next GTAN update comes out. Add a GPS item to the shops, that if a player owns, it will enable Player Location Display. Please?

Just to clear out the discussion. Players do not use this mod for advantage more for realism sake.

We got a GPS so a mod that tells us the road instead of looking every time on the map ending up crashing a car is way better.

There is no actual advantage of knowing a street name. It just looks nicer and makes it feel way more realistic and clean.

NB: If you are caught using any of the multiplayer options of the mod, it will consequences.

Yeah i love this mod so much

I don't use this mod, but I can't see how it gives an advantage. It just stops you from having to open your map up to view your location like that, could act like a GPS sort of system, very useful for police, medics and taxi's who would realistically be able to use a GPS in their vehicles.
