Founded in 1927 by Sicilian immigrant James Torelli of Messina, the Torelli Family has conducted itself for nearly one-hundred years on one principal: family comes first, money comes second.

In the early 2020s, the administration on the east coast needed eyes in the west. Fearing a civil war between the already existing Shoreside Crew from California and the New Jersey faction, James Torelli, Jr. elected to establish a new outfit in southern San Andreas. With reliable western contacts few and far between for James Jr., his last resort lay in his own son - Vince Torelli.

In February '22, Vince Torelli (who was part of The Underground at the time) was contacted by James Jr. and instructed to establish this outfit in Los Santos. Money needed to be made, and more importantly, connections. Fearing a loss of political influence on the west coast, James Jr. is counting on Vince to shift the power back from the hands of the Shoreside Crew and into the traditional keepers in New Jersey.

Armed with only moral support from his close associates and the Sicilian determination to succeed, Vince knows that survival will depend upon the unity of as many able-bodied Italian-Americans in Los Santos as he can find, and that becoming the next Don of the Golden State is within reach - it's only a matter of how far he's willing to go for it.

Members of the Torelli crime family are expected to accurately roleplay their style choices in cars and clothing based on their rank and their character's financial status (story-wise).

While we're fans of classic Godfather cars and 1970s land-yachts, be reminded that this organization exists in 2022. It's up to your own merit as a roleplayer to style your character in a way that is both realistic and fun, though we ask you to consider your time, place and character's tastes and status before you make a final decision.

We bank on the idea of being recognized for our actions, not our clothing. We will not push colors or uniforms. Our plan is to compensate for this by showing a high degree of Italian-American mafia roleplay and leading by storytelling example, NOT by GTA Online-esque unrealistic gang-banger tactics.

If you need help on how to properly roleplay this kind of character, here are some tips:

  • Caporegimes and high command are likelier to drive classic collector cars and wear super expensive suits due to their status and financial state within the family.
  • Soldatos depend on making appearances. More senior members may drive luxury brands such as Enus's or Albany's, where as younger members may drive cheaper, more efficient cars.
  • Older, higher earning soldatos may wear suits and leather blazers to keep up an appearance of opulence, where as younger, developing members may opt for something more practical, such as a tracksuit or a shirt and tie.

We won't tell you what to wear, only that you show consideration and awareness for realism in the setting your story is taking place in.

CURRENTLY FINDING NEW LOCATION DUE TO OWNERSHIP DISPUTES

Another vital aspect of the Torelli Family is our turf. Currently, we plan to congregate collectively in and around Al Dente's Restaurant on Aguja Street in Vespucci Beach.

Due to our nature as a high class organization, we won't push a neighborhood violently as our own. Instead, we will consider the south side of Vespucci Beach as our home, and will consider the West Side of the city as our comfort zone. We won't have any personal business on the East Side, and we ask all members to find some kind of residency on the West Side of Los Santos.

Each caporegime will have the opportunity to choose their own headquarters, though the main family hangout spot will remain at Al Dente's.

We are also a specifically city-based organization. Unless under special circumstance, we will strive to NOT go up north, and attempt to limit our presence to the urban areas of the map.

  • To be a made man, your character must be Italian-American, native Sicilian or native Italian. High ranking roles and group admission can be assigned to non-Italians at the discretion of the boss only. These are typically people who are long-time friends of the family and extremely talented in their fields.

  • To be made, your character must swear by the OMERTÁ during the initiation process, though informant and betrayal RP will be embraced if done in a realistic fashion.

  • A traditional, independent and self-sufficient style for crews is expected. The capos are their own bosses. There won't be a gang-wide radio frequency unless on special occasions.

  • Kickbacks (payments), currently in the form of percentages, will be expected in this organization - paid up the line. Soldier to capo, capo to underboss, underboss to boss.

  • All members are asked to maintain a high level of realism and authenticity with your character's story. We expect characters to embrace and build further upon their Italian heritage.

  • Criminal roleplay isn't required for all members, but encouraged. We strive to be more of a business-oriented, high class organization of Italians. Family first, money second.

  • Careless, street-gang criminal roleplay and a "clap crew" mentality will NOT be tolerated under ANY circumstance.

  • All members are asked to follow a moral code. Individual robberies are allowed EXCEPT against an allied or neutral organization. We want to build bridges, not burn them.

  • We strive to bring a realistic, yet aesthetically pleasing Italian-American mafia roleplay to EclipseRP. We ask you to consider this in your clothing and car choices. For example, a handful of members driving classy, Godfather-esque cars is great - but a whole organization in 1920s cars and trench coats is unrealistic for 2022. We hope to maintain secrecy and limited police awareness.

1618133013_oocrules.png.065fb46b93aab4526ab23debb771d3b5.png

  • Must have at least 20,000 experience to become a member.

  • Must show incredible skill in roleplaying before all else, especially through /me and /do.

  • Must be creative and able to tell a good story. You should never feel bored and unable to make a narrative.

  • Must show an interest in the organization for Italian-American mafia roleplay purposes. We DO NOT tolerate GTA Online mentality (e.g., more focus on money than RP).

  • Must be willing to follow server rules at ALL TIMES and take instruction from admins.

  • Must be willing to treat admin punishments as an opportunity to grow, not as defeat.

  • We DO NOT tolerate OOC toxicity. What happens in the city stays in the city.

  • Have fun!

Coming out of relative fear for whether or not his noble idea for a new Italian organization in the city would have any kind of promising future, Don Vince Torelli, who was talking a nice walk in scenic Vespucci Beach, was contacted by an old friend with a proposition. Bring her in to the organization, and gain incredible knowledge on the inner workings of Los Santos' underworld.

This old friend was none other than Misha McQueen, a former member of Rising Suns and a historic friend of the family. Although not an Italian-American, Vince knew that Misha's skills in criminality and organizational management would be a very needed asset in the weeks to come.

A long-tenured and very effective woman, Misha is known for getting a job done. She never has to pick up the pieces after a job, because she never leaves any. Arguably one of the most notorious female criminals in the city, her rap sheet is nearly as long as her aim with a .50, and even the most feared tough guys know that when Misha's on the block, your only option is to step aside, with respect.

Later that day, Vince made contact with another old friend, though not one he had ever met before. A different kind of friend, who knew Vince not through acquaintance, but through the family business: Joe Benito, of the Benito family. These Sicilian paisanos knew the trade, and according to Joe, are coming back to Los Santos after a long stint in the can.

Originally wanting to restart their own business, Vince made them an offer - join the Torelli Family, and their boss would be instantly given the rank of caporegime.

Joe supported this idea, though the main person Vince would need to speak to is Bugsy - a very mysterious but knowledgeable man and Don of the Benito family.

Only time will tell for Don Vince if Bugsy supports the idea. If so, around seven new faces in the society of the chosen could be seen around Los Santos, and hopefully, you'll live long enough to see their faces a second time.

The first few weeks of the Torelli Family's presence in Los Santos were marked with slow wait and anticipation for change. While it was true that the Italians were back in Los Santos, making that reality last into the future would take effort and a passion for supremacy in the criminal underworld. Don Vince Torelli couldn't do it alone, and luckily, two prospective lieutenants with a talent for crime and Italian-American culture had piqued his interest - Bugsy Benito and Diego Gonzel.

QaGtmnr.png

The history of the Benito Crew is cloudy to outsiders. Having been in Los Santos for several years, the organization is led by the elusive Bugsy Benito - a man of high taste in fashion, cars and criminality. An icon of reverence to his friends, and of fear to his enemies, he is a man of honor lost in a time of gangbangers and fast paced crime. However, he is a man skilled at adaptation, and much like how he must adapt his methods to survive in the 21st century, he must also adapt himself to the historic methods of the Torelli Family.

Approached by Vince Torelli on the Del Perro Pier, a popular hangout spot for the community, a small meeting took place between Vince and the men of the Benito Crew. They were given an offer - join the Torelli Family and be recognized as an independent crew.

Knowing that the survival of Italian-Americans in the city depended upon union and solidarity rather than bitterness and war, the Benito Crew happily accepted Vince's offer. Soon, they would be getting their hands dirty in the art of "modern shopping" - hitting stores like clockwork and letting the people of Los Santos know that the mafia's brutal presence in the city was far from over.

Another prospective caporegime was Diego Gonzel. Like Bugsy, his past is shrouded in mystery, aside from the fact that his blood is Sicilian. He needed to reconnect with the Cosa Nostra, and after some time as a free agent, he happily accepted Vince's offer to join the family as a caporegime.

Contradictory to Bugsy, the methods of Diego revolve around heavy secrecy. His endeavors rest not in the gun alone, but also in the pen - he is a businessman at heart. A businessman who knows that success requires bloodshed, and who is not afraid to spill some when the times need it. A man of both high integrity and a will for getting the job done, Diego was pleased to become the newest caporegime in the Torelli Family.

Diego Gonzel - son of former family boss Donny "Diablo" Gonzel.

After the murder of his father and former associates, those that were left alive were incarcerated or put into witness protection. Having no where to go and no one to turn to after being let out of prison, Diego chose to leave and come to the city hoping to find a group of loyal people to network and rebuild an empire with.

After becoming accustomed to the city and seeing the flow of it all, Diego had become more familiar with who he could and could not trust. Day in and day out, he continued business the only way he knew. Knowing enemies are bad for business, he always made sure to take care of those who helped make the city his home. In his off time he would often fish. It was zen for the hollow man.

It was one of these times that changed his entire future,  approached by a man dressed in familiar fashion, Diego introduced himself, learning the man in the suit was none other than Vince Torelli. After talking for a while, it was clear they were both like minded and decided working together was beneficial to the both of them.

It wasn't long after that, Vince decided to initiate Diego as a branch in the Torelli family tree. Being proud to be a part of the family, Diego knew he would never allow the same mistakes to happen again, living by the motto "blood for blood and a favor for a favor."
