  1. Should of worded my comment a little better, I'm on about the punishments given out are a lot more harsher and less forgiven compared to back then. I've played criminal for about a year and round that time your on about i was legal. I agree there was a lot of reports back then, to now with only a few hundred on the server at peak time, however im mainly focusing on earlier this year when the player count was reaching 600 and permanent bans were getting handed out like warnings.
  2. Agree with everything your saying, but sadly most staff members disagree with much of the communities suggestions on this topic.
  3. I dont want to go off topic, but i disagree with you on that one.
  4. Times have changed, more punishments are being handed out now due to more reports being made. And the last sentence you said sums up the issue with the crim vs legal side of the server. Most moderators plus are either legal or cartel what makes decisions with reports heavily biased.
  5. Having it on a case by case basis completely wrecks the whole point of having rules that you must follow, as this can lead to staff favouritism as well as staffs own interpretation. I've seen this multiple time over the years where one person gets a let off and the other gets a jail time. Rules should be explained in a lot more detail and provide examples to people, so people can understand why it is a rulebreak. I feel like the main rules this covers are DM, NRP and the backup rule where these rules are heavily based on opinion not the actuality of the rule. Having the mindset of wanting your player base to endure pain through punishment isn't the right mindset. People can still reflect on there actions while being off the game, i feel like there should a middle ground between a permeant ban and your last ajail. Even with temporary bans you can still make the player explain and justify there actions once there ban is over and if they don't show sufficient remorse and understanding perhaps a longer temp ban is needed. It's interesting that your saying that the main reason for an Ajail is to force someone to endure an punishment by forcing them to stay ingame, surely it should be in your best interest to allow the player to reflect on there actions and spend time thinking about there actions.
  6. Just seen this comment and was quite concerned, so thought i would provide my feedback, as i have been part of both sides. 1) This has been tried multiple times before and law enforcement take this as you putting the hostages life at risk and then storm the banks with ARs. Trying to bring the hostage with you never works, as the the crims would have all the leverage. 2) After performing banks over the years i have tried this technique and it either results sacrificing a person and the cops managing to get the fine up to 40k +, or when negotiating the cops not allowing multiple vehicles, unless there are multiple hostages (when would make the time to reward not worth it). 3) This works however provides no bank rp or interactions with the cops. Doing this is a good way but shouldn't just be the 'Meta' for banks. Running in a bank and running straight out when cops provides little rp (just doing the bank script) if only one cruiser gets there in time. My Suggestion: The main issue with this is the fact that members of staff (admins or mods) who are either participating in it or overlooking it, are most of the time always mainly Legal based. Ive seen this first hand as a cadet, where other officers speak to crims like they know the best on the situation and have the validation of the staff members who are in a teamspeak call with them. This is applied to banks as well as there is always staff members, where officers can ask for validation, for example having a sniper and deciding when to shoot or not. This helps aid police to make riskier decisions with the help of staff (so they don't rule break). Why cant this be the same for criminals? Why cant they have the same treatment? A suggestion is making robbing banks less frequent (with a higher reward) and actually focusing on creating an RP scenario where multiple methods can be used by both sides, instead of one side pulling the strings.
  7. As most of Angelo's Associates have lost their Visa's, he has decided to go back to his family in Mexico. (Appreciate all the great RP I've had with everyone, peace!)
  8. Sad to see another faction go... From the fight nights and the MS-13 alliance we had with you guys! It's been a blast!
  9. Wouldn't that be considered MG, as your using the fact that your other character is in jail to play on your Alt. It seems a cheap way to get out of jailtime, however any suggestion with reducing jail time/ or made easier is a +1.
  10. Fair enough, Personally I have felt my RP has been extremely restricted (same with many others). Sometimes broadcasting your crimes is perhaps the way they would like to go about it, as it creates something different, for example a hostage bank robbery is extremely public. Telling people to only RP crimes that they can only get away with does Limit your RP as you know if you do anything that involves being publicly seen will resort in massive sentences. "Playing smarter" is one side of being a criminal personally i don't think every criminal should be extremely clever and know every single trick of the trade. Telling people to play smarter is basically telling people to find ways to win as much as you can, what shouldn't be the case. I don't think were saying sentences should stay the same, but there should be a cap. I think all the sentences should be lowered to give more options to criminals without feeling scared there gonna have to spend a week sitting in DOC
  11. I understand that, but surely rules should be put in place to prevent that instead of punishing the entirety of criminals with 10hr sentences for unique RP scenarios. I get alot of people use to abuse this, but surely if they are doing that they aren't here to roleplay in the first place? 10hr sentences can take up to a week or more for the average player what is ridiculous and very demotivating. For many criminals its not always about winning but having 10hr jail sentences promotes the play to win aspect. You said lower the severity of your crimes, doesn't that just promote sticking to the same criminal RP and not thinking out the box or trying different RP?
  12. Massive +1, there should be a cap on how long a sentence can be. Perhaps 3 hrs is a fair balance as having stacked sentences that can go up to 10hrs is ridiculous for how little RP DOC has (excluding out the unique RP scenarios i know DOC high command do sometimes ).
  13. Angelo had organised a large meeting for all the Loco's to attend, however this wasn't just any old meeting. This was the first official meeting for the Locos and a lot of points was going to be addressed at this meeting due to the serge of popularity and growth ESL had seen. This was when Angelo approached Vincent to hand over an expensive camera the El Chapo had purchased for good quality photos, that he can send around to his friends as a appreciation for there good will since moving into the Barrio. When the meeting had started Vincent spent the time taking pictures before and after the meeting to then send back to Angelo in a letter posted to the El Chapos address. ((These were the letters sent to Angelo))
  14. Since creating Locos, it was Angelo's and Jimmy's idea to stand out and create an area where Locos can do there day to day business as well as meet and greet people coming into the hood. It was then decided by Angelo and Toon that Locos should be proud of there Mexican ancestry and should assert there dominance into the street of Fudge Ln. This included many things with the main structures being the large flags that have been placed down the whole street! This took Toon and Angelo many days, however the effort was totally worth it due to the final product being exactly what the EL Chapo and Patron wanted! Since the inception of East Side Locos, it has gathered a lot of attention around the city, with curious people turning up by the hour, Angelo had to make sure he could maintain order within the Barrio. With a lot of illegal trafficking and business happening down this street, a lot of suspicions grew within the last remaining neighbours of Fudge Ln. However, this is what Angelo was wanting, to increase the pressure on the last neighbourhood residents, to eventually scare them into selling their property. The Neighbours was only ESL's smallest issue, with the constant pressure of Rival Gangs and the Police Department finding out our location of central operations. On the 13th of July a few days after the Inception of ESL, PD was already patrolling the area and even trying to catch out the Locos red-handed! Unfortunately, on this day a small mistake from a street Loco lead to a full-scale assault of the Barrio from the whole Police Department. With many Locos being arrested, this clearly showed Angelo PD was trying to make a statement towards his newly created Gang. Even though the Locos may have lost this time, Angelo wouldn't forget this incident with revenge coming sooner than expected …
  15. Yeh, we have the a similar plan in terms of bringing it to life, I also feel like the Barrio will always be the name especially seen as this faction is Mexican too
  16. Picture Book: "The Life Of Being A Leader" MS-13 East Side Locos (Current) ((Appreciate the great RP from everyone i have interacted with in the time ive been here :), and looking forward to the future on ECRP))
