Leo Marks
Where to begin? Leo Marks... Born and raised in the North East of England in a city called Newcastle, born an only child his mother died when he was young, leaving him to be raised by his father. His father a military man raised him on the principles he was taught and believed in as a soldier in the British Army's 39th Regiment Royal Artillery. Growing up was tough for Leo, he had trouble fitting in anywhere, school was a bore in his eyes he wanted to be learning life skills not academic ones. His attitude towards his education ended up leading to his removal from school and almost feeling like he was a disappointment to his father, but he understood, being a troubled youth himself he saw himself in Leo and saw that he would merely be a hypocrite to criticise Leo's drive and hunger to follow in his own footsteps, and that was just it, Leo only ever had one thing on his mind, to follow in his fathers footsteps, join the army and attempt to make his father proud. Instead his father home schooled him between deployments, leaving him in the care of his grandparents during the deployments, he would teach him the necessary points of a basic education, but he also taught him necessary life skills. They would work on bikes and cars on the regular, buying beaten up cars and bikes, taking time and giving them the TLC needed to restore them to their former glory. They would work tirelessly night and day, working out together, working on vehicles together they had a bond so strong it was unbreakable.
Leo reached the age of 18 when his dad began training him in weapons discipline and firearms handling. He was a natural, able to hit any target put in front of him. He had the perfect skillset and knowledge to be able to enlist into the Army. One fateful night changed Leo's world, turning it upside down. It was a normal night, like any other his father went out late to grab something from the local shop, and during his walk back he encountered a gang of men following a young frightened looking woman down a dark alleyway, his father intervened in attempt to save the woman, but he was vastly outnumbered, he put up a fight before being gunned down by one of the gang members when he started to get the better of a few of his friends. Leo who had began to wonder what was taking his father so long decided to go out to find him. Unfortunately by this point he would be too late, finding his fathers lifeless body on the corner of the street just inside an alleyway. He filled with rage and despair he had lost the only thing close to him, the man he idolised. Gone forever. Leo would take it upon himself to seek his own revenge, he put word out on the streets, trying to find information on the gang who had murdered his father, hearing whispers here and there, piece by piece fitting together the puzzle. Until finally he found out who they were, and got information of the house they were hiding out in, he set out to the address doing recon on the area, escape routes and for anything that could potentially hinder his plans. After returning home and planning his attack he contacted an old Army buddy of his fathers, telling him of the plans he had made, and how he would need a means to escape the country after it was done. Reluctantly agreeing, a small cargo plane was chartered at a nearby abandoned airstrip. Armed to the teeth... He set off to the property with one thing in mind, revenge. He took them by surprise, killing every one of them in no time at all before they even realised what was going on. He knew the neighbours would have heard those shots, he knew he had to get out of there quickly, he had planned for this. He got away cleanly and to the airstrip, where he met his dads army buddy, embracing him and telling him the job was done. He still felt empty, getting revenge was never going to bring his father back, but he thought it would have felt more satisfying than this? It was time for him to start fresh, onto the plane he got, stopping off at a few stops for refuels and restocks before landing in a small remote desert town called Grapeseed in San Andreas.
Upon his arrival in San Andreas he made some connections, feeling out the town he did small measly jobs to earn some money, he would fish, money transport for the government, even took up some lumberjacking in order to keep himself busy and fit. This was all well and good making petty cash here and there, keeping his mind occupied and keeping himself out of trouble. He met a group of guys who were nice enough to show him the main hubs of the city, the main social points and the best ways to earn money, he became intrigued by the way these guys operated and they told him they made a lot of money running a robbery and carjacking racket, he figured he could put his skills to use, this was the sort of thing his skillset was to be handy for. Unfortunately, he was caught by LSPD robbing a car and was taken to LSDOC State penitentiary for his actions, upon his arrival into the Jail he knew he had to find some way out, any way out.. He didn't belong in these walls, nobody could cage him. He negotiated the terms of leaving on Parole, filling the Parole officers head with everything he wanted to hear he was approved for an early release merely a week into his sentence, given a second chance he had no intention of taking. Upon his release he linked back up with the group he had met, getting straight back to business, making money at other peoples expense without a care in the world. Until one day a store robbery went wrong, one of the guys fell from his bike when they were leaving the store, incapacitating himself, Leo couldn't leave him behind, as the others fled Leo stayed behind, to attempt to find a way to get his injured friend to a hospital, unfortunately the LSPD swarmed the scene with an extremely quick response, leading to Leo being arrested and thrown into jail again, this time there was no get out of jail free card, this time.. He had to serve his time and keep his head down, a few years later Leo was released from prison, it was time he moved in another direction.
