  1. Thank you for the suggestion.
There's not really much I can discuss here due to lockdowns being completely IC but yes, we're very aware that lockdowns prohibit possible RP for inmates however IC repercussions happen when players decide to roleplay their character as badly behaving inmates. Obviously we're fine with this but if you decide you want to beat up a guard or two then yeah, you're gonna find your way into a cell very quickly.
We try and keep lockdowns, cell time and solitary to a minimum unless it makes total RP sense.

We do have a faction guideline where if you're the last one on duty and you need to clock off then you need to unlock the cells. This isn't done 100% of the time and isn't very easy to enforce because well, it only happens when no one is around.

There is a lockdown command. It just hasn't worked in two and a half years.

It is currently on the SADOC Improvement Thread. Hopefully we can get it back one day!

I'd love to read further thoughts on the matter here or you can alternatively reach out to me over discord.

Dumpster diving could be super cool if you think about it:

A hance to get some random food or clothes or misc items with like a rare chance at a speaker or something that can be pawned. But then think if it was an inventory you can put stuff in also, people can use them as trash cans and also criminals could use them to drop things to other players.

Huge potential for something relatively small as placing some inventory spots with a bit of scripted behaviour.

    Thoughts?

  3. Date and time (provide timezone): 22:35 20/MAY/2023

    Character name: Kourtney LaFleur

Issue/bug you are reporting: When additional time is added to inmates inside of SADOC their entire time is reset to a few minutes where they are shortly released.

Expected behavior: Time is added onto their sentences, not reduced to just a few minutes.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Add additional time to an inmate inside of DOC via the MDC and it will reduce their time.

  4. These are all incredible and I see absolutely no downside to getting these added (besides perhaps the increase in the download size). Small touches like the ones shown above, especially ones related to the lore and factions of the server, really make the world feel lived in by the players.
The memorial to Nicholas Harm is especially amazing.

  5. The new jobs obviously need a bit of balance, they have just come out!
The exchange rate from stamps to dollars at the moment is 1:3 meaning that if you earn 100 stamps, you come out with 300 bucks.
I've sat down and done some maths. You can earn at minimum 150 stamps for 5 minutes of work (laundry), so that's 150 times 12 which is 1.8k stamps an hour, or $5,400 an hour. Not bad for doing almost no work!
Also, if you were to transfer your stamps to time (7 stamps to 1 second), you'd reduce your time by 258 seconds or just over 4 minutes if you used 1.8k stamps earnt easily in the hour.

I personally feel like that exchange rate for stamps to money should be 1:1 to keep it consistent with real currency. Even if the current stamp cost was deducted by this amount it would be easy enough to make back your fines and then some if you do constant work especially with people saying that they can earn upwards of 90k if they farm it.
Time should also be changed from 7 stamps to 5 stamps per second. While that still doesn't sound great it would ensure that inmates can't farm down their time to make it insubstantial. 5 is also a much easier number to divide things by so people can figure out their time reduction to see if its worth it!

  6. This is pretty easy to do in game, just need a property really.
SADOC has a K9 division and we go super in depth with the roleplay with the dogs where we perform medical check ups and such ourselves. We roleplay the initial check-ups and such at the pet store at the vets in Paleto. I think having a whole division for it for MD is probably a little too much as the roleplay is incredibly niche.

  7. There is absolutely no reason that crims couldn't use the IC advertisement section of the forums for illegal purposes. Unlike lifeinvader there are no rules against selling illegal things on it however obviously there might be IC repercussions if not done in a smart way.
I'm not a huge fan of making an easy to access black market as the fun of crim is the difficultly that comes with it. Making an easy to access domain with no repercussions would take a lot of the fun out of roleplaying a criminal in my opinion.
