Good ideas but how would some of theses work if the prison is a NCZ?

Once the prison is fixed and working as intended, we intend on having a Department of Corrections which would then open up for more RP inside the prison such as crimes inside the prison.

  2. Can we please add more animations to the game? Like, a lot more. It adds a lot to RP immersion if you're able to do anims passively during RP.

    I.e.
    - Play Guitar anim.
    - Clipboard Animation
    - And any other anims that adds immersion.

Feel free to suggest anims down below that you know exist on GTA V.

  3. Could we please get an inventory created once we spawn a faction vehicle? So we can put bags in there and other miscellaneous items that we confiscate or find during our patrol/shift/whatever. And if there are items in the inventory, make it so that the script prevents you from despawning the vehicle until it's empty.

I'm not sure that the command is for other factions, but if PD would try /parkcruiser with the inventory not being empty, it'd prevent them and it'd notify them that the inventory isn't empty. This is just to prevent items from disappearing.

  4. Date and time (provide timezone): N/A

    Character name: Samuel Osborn

Issue/bug you are reporting: Radio VOIP is still not really functional. There are issues where players don't hear each other, and only some hear each other. I.e. right now:

I can hear Pierce Hardy and Nicholas Harm on the radio.
I can't hear Marco Davis but he can hear me.
Marco Davis can hear Pierce Hardy, Nicholas Harm and me.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Just go into a radio frequency I suppose, perhaps the PD frequency when there are multiple officers on duty.

  5. Date and time (provide timezone): N/A

    Character name: Samuel Osborn

Issue/bug you are reporting: While VOIP seems to be working fine since yesterday, Radio VOIP isn't. By default, once you purchase a radio at the general store and turn it on, radio VOIP doesn't seem to want to work for players on that frequency. A way to make it work is to drop your radio onto the floor and then pick it up, that seems to work 100% right now but is quite tedious as you seem to have to re-do everytime you crash or login.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Just purchase a radio, join a frequency and try to talk. Someone might hear you, but everyone won't. I was able to communicate with 1 out of 6 officers yesterday on the radio without using the aforementioned dropping radio method.

  6. Hey. Could we please get the radio distortion effect added to radio VOIP again? It's no longer there with the new VOIP system. For one, it ruins immersion to not have it, I loved the distortion effect on our previous VOIP system, now it just sounds like you're talking to someone on discord.

Which brings me to reasoning number two, player reports. It's going to be hard to determine if someone's speaking over radio VOIP or discord now, it's hard to differentiate the two. By this, I mean other players speaking to the player which's POV we have on reports (videos).

  7. Can we please make it so that when PD uses /swat, it gives them the default GTA V SWAT skin? It'd be like when admins go on admin duty, we get an "admin skin" which is pretty much just a GTA 5 model.

    We currently look like:

    5391e9402fad5621af94e60a3aba87dd.png

    We want to look like:

    03e1094b7e35c3b371c131603e834099.png

That way... when 0.4 hits and we're going to try out visual mods, we could potentially look like:

  8. If it's possible, I support this. I would love to be able to change the hotkey for VOIP.

Perhaps just make it a text command
    /hotkey [voice1] [key] - For Local VOIP
    /hotkey [voice2] [key] - For Radio VOIP

If you @Daryl98 manage to find an efficient way to remap keys with a program whatnot, I'd love to get some help. I tried autohotkey but couldn't figure out how to make it hold down N when pressing another key and release N when I release that other key. It kept holding down N for me until I shut down the autohotkey script.

  9. Hello. With gun attachments coming back, could we please get them for PD as well? Specifically a flashlight for regular officers and a more wider variety of attachments for S.W.A.T.

Maybe just make it a separate command to add attachments to the gun you've got out in the PD armory. Like, when I'm holding a weapon out in the PD armory, I can type:
    /attach scope
    /attach clip (for extended)
    /attach grip (for a grip)
    /attach armytint (for the tint)
    /attach flashlight

S.W.A.T. would love something like this:
    - Default Clip (or extended)
    - Flashlight
    - Scope
    - Army Tint

@FatherOsbornHD I'm not saying that everyone would be educated on using the deep web, or anything, but this is a game and I don't understand why the rules on uses of discord should change just becasue we don't sell cars or give out loans.

@Triple Seven I'm not sure how I would set up that website, and if a website would be approved, why not a discord with the same options as that website would have? We have no room for a common text chat or voice chat. So this would be the same as a simple webpage, just a lot easier to handle.

"This is a game" is a pretty bad argument. We're trying to create a realistic environment on a role-play server. Nothing stops you from approaching people In Character, on the game, and trying to make your illegal sales. I still stand by my opinion.

You could argue, why can't I walk up to someone and just shoot them? It's a game. Why can't I just use my supercar and ram into someone? It's a game. Yes, it's a game, but with a specific game mode, we're trying to replicate a real-life environment in a developed country.

Heavy Roleplay means that our rules and script is made & being changed to a way that makes us replicate the real world to the fullest extent possible.

  11. So everyone in the city suddenly becomes educated on the deep web?

Yes, the deep web does exist in real life but how many are actually educated enough to utilize it? The problem with allowing things like this, more than the majority will use it. Downloading i.e. the TOR Browser isn't rocket science, but how do you go about obtaining the .onion addresses? That's the problem, not everyone will or can obtain a legit .onion address which takes them to a real marketplace.

This is why things such as terrorism aren't allowed in the server. It does happen In Real Life, but by allowing it on a video game, it'd happen too often for it to be realistic anymore.

  12. Hello.

I would like to have PD's roadblock limit increased from 5 to 10 (It's currently 5 per office). The current number is not sufficient to properly and realistically secure a scene most of the time and we don't always have more officers available to place down roadblocks. We're also planning on doing DUI checkpoints etc in the future so we'd need to have access to some more barriers.

I'd also like to have the model of "barrier" changed from what it is now, to pop_barrier_work05
    Note: Just barrier, NOT barrier2.

  13. Hey. Not sure if it's possible on GTA 5 but it was on SA-MP at least. I would like injuries (specifically, shot injuries) to be registered where they hit on a player so that players simply can use /injuries or /damages to open a list which would show them where they're injured. This avoids situations where players want to instantly RP dead to get out of negative character consequences, it'll also improve the quality of life for the medical department & LSPD who simply can roll up to a scene, type the command, see where the player is injured and perform medical attention from there.

    I.e.
    > /damages ID/Name
    > List pops up in the chatbox
    (Alias) Stranger ID's active injuries:
2 Shots to the Right Arm
    1 Shot to the Chest/Stomach
    1 Shot to the Head
1 Shot to the Left Leg

We could also further enhance this by adding animations if you're for example shot in the leg, you could be limping (the low health animation) and if you're shot in multiple areas but not dead yet, you could add random effects like where your character falls into a fall animation and you have to get up etc. Just makes the quality of RP a little better when you're injured. Could also add a blackout effect if you're that low on health, random chance that you'll black out for x minutes or so and then be able to wake up, but if you don't get medical attention fast enough you'd blackout more often in a shorter period. (This could replicate the effects of blood loss, the greater the loss, the more severe the consequences are).

Injuries can be removed by medics or admins.

Just going to drop this here, just something I brainstormed together. The main problem I see with gangs/illegal factions right now is that there's no limit to how many members a group can recruit. A year ago, we had a Chemical Toilet Gang (Brazilian) with over 300 members. This would technically still be possible. Legal factions? I don't see much of an issue with legal factions, they've got an application system, recruitment process, interviews and they've got so many rules they need to follow, look at PD. You make an application, it can take up to a week to go through the initial stage (Application > Interview) and then another week+ to finally be able to sit through your 4-5 hour academy, only then to be a Cadet for a minimum of 7 days where you practically can't do anything until you've completed your Field Training Program. Then we've got internal walls that restrict officers from accessing fast cars, big cars, big guns, helicopters and so forth. This is why PD, for example, is struggling to get past the 50 member count, while other illegal groups are rising in numbers. If they had the same standards, it'd be more balanced and we'd have more quality RP interaction between officers & criminals.

Now if you're a new player, would you rather join an illegal group and get a gun on day-1 or sit through this lengthy recruitment process & internal process of the Police Department or any other legal faction? PD specifically does this to educate our members and to uphold them to high standards, while yes, there are incidents where officers also break rules but it's significantly less (look at reports and appeals, compare them.) Members of legal factions that break rules get punished by the same guidelines as anyone else.

Point is, to improve the general quality of RP, something like this does need to happen, it can't only be one side.

GANG SUGGESTION FROM LEWIS AND OSBORN:

    Quote

    Make people start unofficial gangs
During the unofficial period, the gang is expected to create RP and show that they're willing to RP a backstory, have character development in the gang etc. This can be proven by members posting pictures on their gang thread which shows RP (a very smart & efficient way). Unofficial gangs get no specific gang scripting or access to the turf system. They'll make use of whatever features are available to civilians. Unofficial gangs can't participate in turf wars with official gangs.

    Becoming Official
    Either
    A) After x period, admins assigned to oversee illegal factions can grant the gang/illegal faction owner the permission to apply for official status.
    B) After x period, admins assigned to oversee illegal factions can decide whether a gang/illegal faction can qualify for official status.

    Tier System
While official, have a tier system (i.e. tier 1 to 4.). Each tier comes with a different member count. (brainstorming, could be completely different)

    Tier 1 - 20 members.
    Tier 2 - 30 members.
    Tier 3 - 40 members.
    Tier 4 - 50 members.

    Progressing in Tiers
Gangs can progress in a tier by showing good RP and by following server rules. Create consequences for members being repeatedly being punished for breaking server rules, or high ranking members getting punished for breaking server rules, such as - a downgrade of a tier, or removed from official status.

How do we (Staff) monitor unofficial gangs and them participating in turfs to assist an official gang or just to mess around?
Essentially it's like any other rule, players will have to document evidence and report players that they feel are in violation of rules if admins don’t witness it in action. If official gangs intentionally make use of unofficial gangs to help them in turf wars, then more severe consequences can be handed to them i.e. immediate tier removal.

How would tier removals work if the lower tier exceeds their current members?
Add a 24-hour time limit for gang leaders to manually remove members or have the script remove the last 10 members that joined.

    Why this system?
A gang/illegal faction system that has unofficial and official gangs/factions make the groups value what they have and generally makes sure that there's a better RP environment in the criminal world. This also allows for more illegal factions/gangs being created and to challenge each other. If I was a new player and joined with a group of friends, let's say 8 friends, and we wanted to start a street gang and participate in the current activities, what are the odds we're going to have any fun with current criminal RP? If a system like this is implemented, I (Osborn) and Lewis would fully support criminals being able to make more money, balance reward/risk better than it currently is.

What is a gang/illegal faction RP thread?
A gang/illegal faction thread would be a thread where members of a group can share their group's development by posting screenshots or videos of role-play scenarios that they're involved in as a gang. I.e. Robbing a rival gang member? Take pictures/videos of the incident and share it on the forums so that not only gang management can see your performance, but also see that tension is building up between two or more groups which could build up and become a reason for "war" in the future. This is also something that I'd recommend for legal factions.
