Yes, the option exists but the PD wants its members to spend time playing the actual game and not on the forums posting repetative threads.

This has already been suggested on the government forums and from what I've read over there it is something the PD has requested as part of a MDC revamp.

First part is very untrue to my knowledge. Optional paperwork is greatly appreciated if it doesnt affect your in-game progress to a greater extent.

  2. Limit monetary robberies you're able to take from other people

Forbid people from doing roleplay that wouldnt make sense in the city center, allowing heavy criminal roleplay only in alleyways or the hoods (because tbh getting held up at Vinewood Hills in the middle of the street is pretty damn unrealistic)

Interactions where if you attempt to rob someone and find nothing, you arent allowed to take their GPS orcut their hair (GPS part understandable)

Remove the GPS system and only have it available on your phone (who the hell carries a big-ass GPS in 2019?)

Bigger ammounts of cash at store robberies (but longer)

Encourage gangs to resort to less gun fights but more fist fights and melee fights by lowering the ammount of weapons they are able to obtain (or create some sort of black market system where one gang controls it)

Add a drug effect with an addiction system, enabling gangs to have a bigger competition in the drug market.

Territories (tbh this can be done IC and a script doesnt need to be put in place)

Substantially increase the impound fee, or create a vehicle insurance system where if a vehicle is impounded or stolen, your fee would be lower if you are insured, but if you are uninsured, it'd be greatly higher.

Encourage civilian RP (idk how, give some ideas)

so when they speedby with 200km/h you can keep give him a ticket, im a officer myself but when you are standing still its hard to get their plates for the split second

All about how you position yourself and where

Maybe when cops get clapped they can go spend their NLR at impound, or checking parking passes at bank and Tequi-la-la.

We follow the same NLR guidelines as everyone else. We dont respond to the situation in which we died in and we wait for it to clear before resuming our patrol duties.

The best idea to a fair game - You should be able to pick up all the stuff from injured officer. Thats it.

That, I like the idea of. Same goes for any item and weapon used by someone who was killed on a scene. Of course with a few rules set as when this can be done.

As I can see you cant understand whats the difference between Game and Real life.. Ofc you will try to play safely in real life... But its a game... Shootouts are big part of the RP and you cant change anything... Cuz gangs/maffia's will allways try to clap each other... Yes , maybe clapping in city center is little bit dumb , but yeah... I think ya got me. No offense.

We are supposed to be an immitation of real life. Yes, it is a game. But the purpose of OUR game is the immitation of real life with a few parts cut out.

I mean.. Think wisely....  Yes.  They could add some realism.. But CK or death sentence how you call is pretty dumb... Firstly we have longer jail time which is dumb allready. For example ,you are working IRL , you come from work to play some ECRP for a hour or so , but you staying in jail for 24hours.. So ya mean, you will have to wait 24days if ya not sleeping on pc ? Real life is real life. Game is Game.

why do you get in these situations that land you in prison for that long anyways? Do you think that the cartels and old italian mafias went around shooting shit up constantly, having them land in jail? No, most of the time they tried to play it safe but without affecting their organization in any huge way. What's dumb is having to come up to a gun fight in the city center with multiple automatic firearms being shot from all sides.

Well , Agreed with first. But others doesnt makes sense... U clap some cops and the you got death sentence? (CK) Dude , its still a game , not real life... Its a dumb move: U killed  too many cops , got your character deleted? Damn thats funny

I mean, a CK is a bit extreme but you have to understand the reasoning behind it.

Maybe PD could loose weapons like criminals can so then it will stop them from taking out carbines constantly and just going into unrealistic gun fights.

Thing about that is, right. If an officer who had been shot and killed in the line of duty lost their weapon after respawning in Pillbox, their weapon would be recovered realistically by another officer if the gunfight were to come to an end in the departments favor. Same goes for vehicles.

Even so, we have guidelines as to when we can and cant deploy carbines/SMGs/shotguns. We have rules and guidelines to follow about firearms and vehicles that I'm guessing the criminal factions dont. The weapons you lose, realistically get confiscated and destroyed/put into evidence, as these weapons were used to commit serious crimes. Our weapons just get returned to the armory. Now what happens if every officer dies at the location is a completely different and VERY weird scenario.

As I also said, we dont keep those weapons and we definitely dont use them in every single situation where one pistol is involved.

Why are you crying here? Oh I know! Because u are cop... But if you were a criminal , you would think different.. Cops have everything... And they wont loose anything. Different story for criminals.. 🙂 As I said , big +1 to this , and the game must be equal 🙂

Well I certainly am not crying, I'm just stating my opinion on the suggestion.

What would you like to see us lose?

Meanwhile in comparison, criminals respawn at pillbox and lose everything they had been carrying, often over 40k worth of street value for most people.

Why are you carrying 40k worth of street value then purposelly getting into messed up situations in the first place? You may have your reasons so I'm genuinely asking, not a sarcastic question.

    One thing you guys have to remember is that the stuff we carry on duty, we dont carry when off duty. Thats refering to this;

And even cops have free guns like m4's smg's and much more...🙂

^We have to reach a certain rank before being able to APPLY for certification for M4s and SMGs (except for SWAT). Not every officer is able to yoink an automatic weapon from the armory.

The weapons we carry on duty we do not bring when off duty. Same goes for vehicles. We dont have anything to lose to begin with other than our money on our person, radios and duty weapons. Thats it.

Something should be done because I've seen PD take fights where they are heavily outnumbered way too often

    (1vs5, 1vs7, 1vs15, 2vs10 etc)

    Example:

    (credits to @Fuz and @JakeInnit_)

I can find at least 5 more similar videos if needed

I personally would consider that as just UNRP behavior and it doesnt reflect the entirety of both departments.

-1 unless you think of something that we can ACTUALLY lose as officers or as a department collectively.

I don't why people keep bringing duties up. I've explained this like 4 times now.

NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT LETTING OFFICERS PERFORM THEIR DUTIES WHILE OFF-DUTY!

This is simply a quality of life suggestion. If you are a criminal who got the cops called on you and got arrested, if the only witness to your crime is an off-duty officer then they have to add charges. As I mentioned to Alex (although he thought I was being snide for some reason), if you want to let criminals sit around waiting for charges to be added when they could have been done on the spot then that's fine, at the end of the day whether someone get's access to the MDC while off-duty or not changes NOTHING, I and others will still go out of our way to add charges, it's just a matter of whether or not we take a few seconds or 20 minutes. Simple as that.

As for the realism talk, I do not buy that. If you want realism then remove every business from every criminal in the server, make all cars besides a simple coupe or sedan very expensive, reduce the overall payout for civ jobs and government jobs and change another million things that technically make the server ''unrealistic''. Not only that, but what part of knowing the log-in and password for a computer yet being stopped by a script is ''realistic'' in your mind ?

Don't get me wrong, the above isn't an argument for adding a bunch of unrealistic stuff to the server, but one about having a blend between what is convenient and fun as well as realistic. Our SOPs tell all Deputies and Officers to add their own charges to avoid being accused of something OOC'ly or IC'ly and to facilitate tracking of who actually added charges in case of an IA report (OOC or IC). Not having the ability to realistically take your username and password, and accessing a simple computer seems more Non-RP to me than having a script prevent you from role playing this out.

The only thing I can think of to agree with the suggestion is simply your knowledge of the login information RPly. However. While youre on a off duty officer, you witnessing a crime is no different than to a civilian unless you have proof of said crime. Its always heresay. Thus, if this were to be added, I will not go out of my way when off duty, to add charges to the person.

Youre technically then doing your job while not at work.

  13. As a fellow officer I have to disagree.

You are off duty, youre not conducting your duties as an officer of the law. Nothing requires you to conduct your duties, which includes adding criminal charges.

Communication with other officers is key and the situation can be solved quite easily.

Do you see yourself doing this realistically? Heading to your police station to file a crime or arrest report while off duty? Doubt it.
